Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the excellent gameplay, immersive story, and effective horror elements as significant strengths of Resident Evil Village. Many also praise the game's atmosphere and sound design, contributing to a compelling experience. While some found the difficulty challenging and the game shorter than anticipated, positive feedback on the action and replay value outweighs these concerns. The overall impression is one of a highly enjoyable game with a few minor drawbacks.

This game is an amalgam of RE7 with RE4 and turns out to be a great game! It's not as scary as 7 but you'll still have a lot of fun with it. The story, the graphics, the sound, everything is pretty good. You won't regret playing it.

This game was amazing. Love the the franchise as a whole but the latest remakes and next-gen titles(re7) are really great games. This was a great conclusion to resident evil 7 and the visuals and gameplay were very good as usual. Has high replay value due to the various collectibles and stuff like extras you get after completing different difficulties of the game. For the die hard fans this is a obvious pick up and for first time players to the franchise/genre this is a great game to start with. There is even a small recap of the last games storyline to get new people up to speed if anyone is worried about that. But this is definitely its own monster so don’t be worried too much.

One of the best Resident Evil games to date. It's got elements of all the previous games so veterans will love it and it's also accessible to new players. Short, but meant to be replayed to unlock stuff. Definitely a must-buy.

This game was so much fun! It was just the right amount of scary mixed with first person shooter. I also enjoyed figuring out the different "puzzles" throughout the game. The end boss was extremely hard to beat though!

Of all the resident evil games, this is my favorite. The graphics are really good and it is really scary. I was playing in the dark last night and it had me scared to death!!! It was really fun though! LOL

A Decent Mix of Fun and Scares

Resident Evil: Village feels like a weird mix between Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 4. It has a decent balance of action and scares. Although I found the game more fun than Resident Evil 7 it was not nearly as good moment to moment. The boss fights for example, were far less interesting and creative. Hopefully the blandness of the combat in the game was created that way intentionally for future VR support. I also much preferred the atmosphere of RE7 to RE8. I personally feel that's one of the reasons Village's scares and jump scares often missed the mark for me. With the exception being one certain area of the game. The dialogue is still cringe worthy as ever for the series. Whether you view that as part of the RE charm or its detriment is up to you. The story does, however, have a few surprises for fans of the past games. If you're not familiar with them you may miss out on a few small things. Overall, I enjoyed Resident Evil Village. To my surprise, I really liked how they managed to integrate Ethan's story of both Resident Evil 7 and 8 into the series story as a whole in what felt like a fairly natural way. I would definitely give the game another star for the inclusion of a VR mode. Perhaps that will come in time with PSVR2. But as it stands now, 4 out of 5 stars.

RE7 was a solid new and innovative entry for the RE formula, but RE8 is the perfection of that innovation found in RE7. RE8 is a wild ride, and definite must play for any Resident Evil fans.

This game is fun, and looks amazing on my PS5 and 4K UHD HDR TV. I'll admit I was Leary about the direction the series was taking with Biohazard, but the story seems to be getting a lot more interesting.

If you like Resident Evil 4 & 7 then you will enjoy this latest entry although on the shorter side at 10-12 hours. It's not as scary as 7 either but leans more on the action side of things like RE 4.

A decent enough sequel to RE7, wrapping up the Ethan Winters storyline in the Resident Evil universe. Add in PSVR2 support, and you've got a system-seller on your hands-- unless you're not an action/horror fan, that is. Not as good as 7, in my opinion, but still overall a fantastic game.

Very realistic and scary. The whole Village setting was fun to explore with the mansion giving me RE 2 vibes at the Police station. The ending took a turn I wasn’t expecting

Just finished the game 2 days ago and I absolutely loved it. The graphics are some of the best I have ever seen. The level design is very well done in such a way that it compliments the gameplay. Speaking of gameplay, this is a FPS and moves much slower than your Call ofDuty and other FPS. But the game does move at a pace that is suitable for the enemy types. There are a few that are fast and shooting doesn't feel the best, but it still feels fair. There are some pretty scary moments in the game and even a while level dedicated to it. All in all this was one of my favorite RE games and I can't wait to see what they do next.
