This was a really sweet extra that Best Buy gave out to people that bought the game. Normally at places like gamestop they would have charged extra for what is called the “steelbook” version. Usually always over the base price of the games. So in this case would have been like $70+ minimum. But i guess after a year since the games release it has gone down in price so i paid $40 and got this sweet steelbook free as an extra. Again pretty sweet of Best Buy to still even have any to give out and they are not charging extra for it.

Part of bundle when preordering Resident Evil Village. This is a nice collectable item to have. The steel case is very durable with very nice design overlaying it.

Let me start off by saying I am a huge video game steelbook collector. Not all of them, but just the ones I think look neat. This one in particular looked really rad, not to mention it is Resident Evil, one of my favorite franchises of all time. To get it, I had to pre-order the game, at retail, for $60. To my dismay, I later found out you could just get the steelbook for $10 or along with the game, a month or two from release, for a total of $40. Leason learned - if you like a steelbook that comes with a pre-order, just wait until the next sizable price drop, as Best Buy tends to have plenty of steelbooks left over and you most likely will net a few extra coins and still get your steelbook. Games drop exponentially nowadays!

I'm a massive Resident Evil fan and have been since I was a kid. Now that I'm grown up, I get to build me own little Resident Evil collection now. I've always loved steelbooks and how unique and beautiful they can be. And I am absolutely so happy with this one. The design is beautiful, capturing a great element of the game. I can't wait to get a bigger bookcase so I can properly display this. If you're a Resident Evil fan, you should totally get this for your collection.

I was looking to buy a Resident Evil Village box for my collection of physical RE games. I don't have a PS5 and wanted to get the game on PC anyway but I always want a physical box for my collection. I'm grateful for Best Buy having these steel boxes and at a great reasonable price. It came when it was estimated and showed up in great and clean condition. I'll be looking forward for more steel boxes for games.

Dang! What an amazing follow-up to one of Capcom’s finest titles. Resident Evil truly is back!!! Veteran fans will definitely appreciate the tonal and visual throwbacks to the franchise’s magnum opus, but that said, there’s enough narrative and gameplay differences to make Village stand on its own feet. Worth every penny and the steelbook was just a cherry on the icing on the cake. Amazing game! Amazing product! An A++!!!
