got it cheap but it gets uncomfortable after some time.

For the price, this is a great quality viewer; especially for kids. Could be a little better focused and lighter in weight. But, overall good quality.

good price for a first set of VR glasses. Our son had these working in a few minutes with an old smart phone. He seems to enjoy it.

Before buying the Utopia 360° Virtual Reality Headset, I had tried both the Samsung Gear VR and the HTC Vive. The Utopia 360° isn't as good as either, but it's priced much lower. If you're interested in checking out VR and you don't want to spend money for the Gear VR, this is okay... just okay. I haven't really found a use for the controller yet and the focus has limited range, but for the price, you can watch 3D VR movies from the New York Times or YouTube. Honestly, though, I wouldn't recommend it for much more than viewing videos.

With my iPhone XR, the cardboard app did not work. Did try the VR X-racer app, experience was good. The bluetooth controller is very crude but for 20 bucks getting a VR experience I think it's fine. Need to be careful to use it for short durations to enjoy VR experience and be healthy. If any of your friends own it, can borrow it and feel the experience unless you are ready to shell few bucks and put it in your storage.

Keep in mind this headset will not come close to the experience an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive system will get you, but these types of headsets are still really fun. The controller isn't that great, but the lens adjustments make this headset better than standard Cardboard or other cheaper models.

picked this up on sale with the intention of just messing around with for a few hours then giving to my sister's kids. Android apps are okay - not the most sophisticated, but still not bad. The hardware is a little cheaply made, but you can't expect too much in this price range. Using a Moto G6 works for me, but unfortunately the phone will not fit with the protective case on. I plan on using an older spare phone when I have time to set it up.

I purchased this as a Christmas present to myself. I was very interested in the technology, but didn't want to spend too much, since I wasn't sure that I would be able to use it properly, or enjoy it. I did a lot of research looking at reviews from tech sites and users. I found that the Retrak - Utopia 360° Virtual Reality Headset With Bluetooth Controller had very good reviews and the price was right for me. It turned out that I made the right choice. It wasn't as easy to use as I thought it would be but I handled it.

I was excited to buy this on sale. VR googles is great material and build quality is impressive. That's all I can say about this. There are very few apps for VR at this time. Most of the apps I can't get it to work. The apps that do work are finicky at best. The BT controller does not work at all. No matter what I tried, even with different phones.

This was a birthday gift for a 12-year-old boy. He had been wanting this VR item for months, and I was waiting for the right and special time to give this to him. He loves his gift! I haven't heard him say it is difficult to use (he's really technologically smart). I would definitely recommend as a Christmas gift for not only kids, but anyone who wants to have fun.

Ever want to feel like you are actually right where you are watching on your phone? This Utopia 360 VR Headset does the job. Although you will look a little silly wearing the headset, you won’t care because it will seem like you are in the magical place you are watching. Be careful not turn to much to look around and get dizzy and knock anything in your home over. Excellent price for what it does.

Let me start off with a warning, this headset DOES NOT WORK with Samsung phones if you have a CASE on it. This was an exploratory purchase for seeing if VR was something worth investing more money in. I can definitely say that this headset has not left a good impression. While I was able to experience the VR effect using them, the headset itself along with securing your phone in it, is unwieldy and flaky. The lenses are plastic and one fell out after two uses. It will not stay secured in the eye socket now. The straps slip on my head and the little controller is useless. The controller worked for a couple times and was only useful in moving the cursor around the screen. Even then, it was hard to select things on screen. Don't waste your money on this one. Maybe there are other intro level headsets that are better. I might check out the Zeiss product. If you really want to get into VR, then you will need to spend more money on the equipment to avoid disappointment.

I had originally secured a sample virtual reality headset with minimal options and no Bluetooth interface. This unit had many more options and the grandkids love them. I did have a learning curve and should have read the instructions more thoroughly before setting up but after reading the instructions worked fine. You must use a regular mobile fone does not work with ipod.

The app works well, as does the viewer, but the bluetooth controller is cheaply made and does not work at all. This product was recommended to me at the store. I would not recommend it to anyone because of the controller.

You get what you pay for. This was cheaper than getting the cardboard version. It also lasted and work about as well as the cardboard version. The controller was total junk and broke the first time I flipped the side switch. Returned it and broke the next one in two days. Finally superglued it together and it now works.

Headset is great value for the price. Can be a nice Christmas gift.

This product is as good as you'd expect something at this price would be. You have a VR experience but it's not as focused as I'd like. Also i don't know if it's just mine but my controller barely works for any of the apps. If you want a basic VR device for cheap this is a good product. But if you want the real deal I'd recommend spending the extra money on something else

Not bad for the price that I paid. Remote that came with headset does not work and feels cheap.
