This controller is the perfect match for the Genesis Mini or for using with Retropie/Retroarch. The only complaint I have is that the combination A+Start triggers a Nintendo Switch home function, and basically it omits the combination, as a result, Genesis games that need an A+Start combination won't respond to it. This is very rare though, and this controller is well worth it!

Works great with the Sega Genesis Mini! The controllers feel and respond very similar to the original 6 button controllers. The Sega Genesis Mini games that are designed for both 3 and 6 button controllers automatically recognize the controller as 6 button when you start the game up (no need to manually configure anything), and the “Mode” button becomes the “reset” button. The cord length is super long. With the ability to reset the games from the controller, I can sit a decent distance from the TV and Mini and still have access to the system’s full game library.

If you play fighting games on the Genesis Mini or even some of the systems this remote is compatible with, you'll be glad you have it. Plus, it's a perfect copy of the original 6 button version that you remember from the original Genesis, so you'll be right at home with it.

Got this for the $10 closeout price. This controller works great if you are looking for a six button controller for fighting games like street fighter. The controller is mostly plug and play with the switch, PC , and genesis mini. The d pad feels great and the buttons are nice to use.

I purchased this specifically for use with the Genesis Mini, and it is just as great as the original controller from back in the day! You will be able to play games that require more than three buttons, and it will feel great in your hand!

I use this for the Genesis mini to play streetfighter 2. Smooth controller that can by used for my ps3 as well. I like the feel of it and it is not too big for my nephews to use when we game.

This really should have been bundled with the Genesis Mini. It feels EXACTLY like the original Sega Genesis 6-button controller from the 90s. (Right down to the slightly unsatisfying d-pad...) You'll need two of these if you have a Genesis Mini and want to play the fighting games properly. The great news is this works great on PC too. There's a standard DirectInput mapping, and a mode switch on the controller which puts the controller into Xbox 360 controller emulation mode, which is useful for software that doesn't allow for proper button customization. This is a great choice for anyone who plays emulated Genesis games or even fighting games that use a 3x2 button layout. I haven't tested it on Mac, PS3, or Switch but the manual lists controller mappings for those as well.

These controllers were great. There are games that use the 6 button giving me more options to play. D-pad is much easier to use than ever before to move back and forth with my character.

Unfortunately the only negative of the Sega Genesis Mini in the USA release is the controllers have only 3 buttons. Usually third party controllers can be good or really bad. This controller is a replica of the six button controller and works great

6 button gamepad for the genesis mini, or pc, works on raspberry pi too, so it's an all round good controller. no complaints from me. feels just like I remember.

The quality of this controller seems to be top-notch. It's been so long since I've used an original six-button Genesis controller. I'm not quite sure, but the feel seems ever so slightly looser, sensitive may be a better way to describe it, than I remember when it comes to the buttons and d-pad. However it still provides a great playing experience.

Although the included controllers with the Genesis classic were adequate, they were not as high quality as the retro-bit controller. The retro-bit controller is far quieter and more comfortable. Highly recommended!

This is great because you can play it on different systems. So I would definitely consider getting this. A retro controller that you can play up to the PS3 with. I say sure why not?

When the purchased the new Sega Genesis Classic I had to purchase this remote controller because it is what I used as a kid. Definitely Worth it.

Super comfortable and works well with Genesis mini. A must have for street fighter fans and for those that want to play retro games on PC. Love it with the Steam Genesis collection.

This is the absolute best thing I've seen replicated since the 90s.This works on everything USB.. I use it on my PC emulator with no problems at all, great value and a great purchase!

I was really surprised when I saw this at my local Best Buy store. I highly recommend this controller to any retro gaming fan. I works perfectly on my PC and is officially Sega licensed.
