The RevAir - Reverse-Air Hair Dryer is an excellent choice for those with curly hair! Well, in all honesty, it's an excellent choice for ANY hairstyle, but if you like to straighten without using a flat iron, this is hard to beat. My wife's hair is naturally curly but depending on the day and activity, she has times when she prefers it straight. This device is an excellent choice for her. The unit came well packaged and had a bit of a "luxury" type feel. From unboxing to use was just a few minutes. The dryer feels well-built and of solid quality. The use at first felt "counter-intuitive" as it sucks your hair in instead of the classic blow dryer, but once you have used it a couple times, she said it felt natural. According to her, it dries her hair faster than a conventional dryer and does much less damage as a classic dryer. Additionally, comparing this to a combo of blow dryer and iron to straighten it, this keeps hair considerably healthier. A couple of things to note... It is relatively heavy and is probably not particularly well suited to travel. The unit is large and does take a larger footprint than classic dryers. The unit also gets on the warm side, but even with these notes it is an excellent choice! End of the day, she would easily recommend this to a friend!

    • The setup for wife was one that was easy to assemble, very intuitive with both the instructions and the online videos. The pieces clipped together easily. It is definitely a highly bulky machine though and takes up both counterspace and cabinet space. • Initial use: Very easy to follow the directions: You just turn on the power and then adjust your settings according to the recommendations for your hair style and desired styling. • To keep in mind, the wand is very bulky and heavy and the hose is very thick, so it is definitely a lot to use for a dryer. With my wife’s long and very curly hair, her arms were getting tired holding the wand up for so long to get a dry. • A note from my wife is that although the unit is bulky as is the hose, you still can only get so many strands of hair in the dryer at a time, maybe about a half-dollar size, so it is still a lengthy process. • My wife’s hair is 26” from scalp to tip while curly, so for her thicker hair, it is important to keep in mind that this is a very lengthy process, but she still found it to be amazing! This is the only hair dryer that she has every used that was this efficient at drying her hair and straightening it than anything else she has ever used! It only took her a few passes on her hair to figure out what tension and temperature she needed to use to achieve straight, dry hair. She had to go up to the highest tension (7) in order to achieve her results. Overall, for the right customer with plenty of counter space or storage space for this Rev-Air dryer, this is an excellent buy. Just be prepared to handle the weight and bulk of it and you will be good to go!

I am a huge fan of this system. I’ve had the model before this and it worked just fine. Absolutely no adjustments needed to be made. So I thought. Getting this when I realized that it wasn’t as small as it could be so this one is truly a space saver. I love the all black touch Makes it have a salon sealed. It was easy to put together since I’ve already owned one and I was up and running in less than five minutes. It does dry my hair just as good as the last model but this one seems to do just a little bit better. I am a huge fan and I will never go back to conventional regular hairdryers again. As far as storage, I’m going to keep the box disconnect put everything back in the box and store under my sink. As far as cleaning make sure you remove any extra hair in the hoses, the filter and other places so that you get the best producing heat and air out of this unit. I actually have no complaints about this unit. They have a really good design and it doesn’t need to be changed. My hair is curly wavy and passed my shoulders so it takes me about 30 to 45 minutes to drive my entire head.

Cumbersome Hair Dryer with Good Results

My daughter has very thick, very long, and very curly hair. It’s always been a nightmare for her to get her hair under control after a wash and usually involves blow drying it for a long time and then straightening it as well. We decided to give the RevAir Reverse Air Dryer a try since it’s been pretty popular with people that have her type of hair. I’ll give our overall impressions of the RevAir first and then break it down a bit afterward. Overall Impressions: The RevAir is a unique device that I believe will work very well for some people. The key to getting the most out of it is figuring out what settings work best with your hair type. In our case, a tension level of 4 and low heat gave us the best results, but it took a few uses before we got it dialed in properly. The problem with the device is how cumbersome and awkward it is to use. The unit can be a pain to use and will most likely dissuade some people from actually using it to its fullest potential. Unboxing/First Impressions: The RevAir comes in a very big box and that’s for good reason because it’s a very big unit. What you’re basically unpacking is a canister vacuum that’s meant for your hair. The unit is solidly built and I like the matte finish, has a long enough power cord and also a pretty long suction hose as well. Attaching the hose is easy and getting started with the unit is pretty straightforward. Ease of Use: The RevAir is kind of a pain to use properly. You’ll have to find a place to set down the canister and also make sure that you have enough hose length to use it comfortably. After you get situated you’ll have to hold the unit up to your scalp for 15-30 minutes as you dry your hair. The actually drying process is pretty easy. You get some hair and place it in the tube, it heats and sucks your hair straight and you move on to the next section. The issue with this process is the holding of the unit becomes pretty cumbersome after about 15 minutes and the end piece is very large. This may not be an issue for everyone, but you should realize that the process with the RevAir is going to be very different than using a regular blow dryer. Results: The results after the 3rd attempt at using the unit were good. It took a few tries to get this right and you’ll have to experiment with the settings depending on what type of hair you have, but overall the results speak for themselves. Curly hair comes out straight and with plenty of volume, without having to use a damaging straightener or blow dryers on high-heat settings.

“RevAir impressed me with its innovative design and fast drying time, but a few drawbacks kept it from being my top choice.” - Fast drying time - Gentle on hair with less heat damage - Effective for thick or curly and curly but it does not give you a sleek hair or silky hair - Bulky that take up space - Noisy operation - Doesn’t fully replace a flat iron for ultra-sleek - May not suit all hair types If you’ve used other dryers or styling tools, a brief comparison can add depth. - “Compared to my regular blow dryer, RevAir was faster and gentler—but it’s not as compact or quiet.” - “RevAir is a solid choice for reducing heat damage and saving time, especially for textured hair. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely a step forward.”

    Game Changer Hair Dryer!

My wife has thick, wavy and curly hair and she absolutely loves using this device! I can’t tell you how many straighteners, curlers, blow dryers and other devices she has used. It seems like she’s looking for a new hair product every three months. She was very happy that set-up was very easy. Trust and follow the guide, because it explains it very well. If you have any questions, just look at the manual. It explains everything! Unboxing it was an experience. It is packaged beautifully. She felt like she was opening the prettiest hair product ever. It’s not cheap, so it’s wonderful the attention to detail and care. Instructions in the quick start guide are very straightforward and clear with great visuals. The “Setting up for Success” portion was especially helpful and allowed her to customize how precisely to use it for her hair type. The device is very easy to set in a way that is specific to your hair type. You can choose the particular strength and heat (cool, warm and hot). Here’s now my wife giving her honest feedback: My hair usually takes 20 minutes to blow dry and I need to use a hair straightener afterward to make it smooth and straight. This did it all in 15 minutes. My hair is naturally wavy and can be difficult to straighten. The results when using this device were soft, perfectly straight and dry strands. The entire process can be done with one hand. It is very simple to move to and from each area. When each area is complete, it creates hair that does not need to be further styled. Overall, the device is a game changer. For years I have spent so much time blow drying and then straightening my hair. This does it seamlessly in minutes. I did not have to do much but hold, wait and move the device. I especially like that it can be used on the cool setting for no damage. Drying and styling my hair takes a long time, but this did it effortlessly in under 20 minutes. It also did my daughter’s unruly, curly hair on the cool setting in under ten minutes. The results are so perfect for very little work. It is definitely worth the price. I will not be doing my hair any other way and will be recommending it to family and friends with difficult to style hair.

Unboxing - The packaging is cool and welcoming. Upon opening the box, you are greeted by an "open me" message and a QR code to help you get started. The QR code links to the website which has a walkthrough video to help put the device together. The paper manual is also very helpful and descriptive. It contains both text and photos. Both of the main pieces are securely suspended by cardboard in the center of the box, and the hose was packed underneath. The device also comes with an additional piece that holds the head of the dryer when not in use. Set-up  - It was very easy to set-up. I used the enclosed manual and did not have any issues assembling the product. I was initially a little worried about storage due to the large size, but it fits comfortably inside the closet when not in use. Use - The step by step guide was straightforward and encourages you to start low and slow in order to determine what amount of heat is good for you. There doesn't seem to be a shut-off function on the handle itself, so I used the power switch on the base to turn the unit on and off as I worked through each section of my hair. Holding the unit during use was okay until I got to the top of my head and in the middle/back where the hair is denser. I used the low heat setting on most of my head and tried out the high heat setting (2 on the wand, 6 on the base) to see the difference. I got straighter results with higher heat. The unit also got hotter quicker. Overall I was able to achieve the results of a blow out using less heat, and a little more time. I tested out different amounts of hair and the dryer head can handle a decent amount. Overall, the more hair, the longer the section will take the dry.  I have 3c/4a hair texture. The estimated time for my hair texture was accurate in the instructions. I plan to use the even higher heat settings in the future to see how straight my hair can get. Overall, this is an excellent dryer for thick, coarse hair. At higher settings it does a good job of straightening hair. It’s not small and at times can be a little challenging to handle but it’s nothing I couldn’t overcome. It’s just different from using a typical small handheld hair dryer. But I’m pleased with the salon-like results from this dryer.

This reverse hair dryer has been a great add to the suite of haircare products in our family. My wife has very naturally curly hair and has always had a challenge straightening it since she has been a child. She always needed to blow dry and then straighten separately. This reverse hair dryer combines those steps into one. If you are looking for a one-stop-shop for your curly hair then this is an optimal route to take in this matter. Please keep in mind that the hair dryer is not technically a straightener, but it nearly completely dries hair while straightening if used correctly. Its bult very sturdy and is easy to grip and use. One thing about this hair dryer that was sort of a surprise was its size, it is very large..and the hose that connect the vacuum and the heading element it a big clunky and can get in the way easily. The sheer size of this accessory make it tough to use while in front of a vanity vs a full sized mirror, if it were smaller it would be easier to maneuver. Out side of the size, it is built very well, although a tad clunky. The noise level is what was expected for this type of device, on the louder size but not deafening. The settings are what you would expect, one toggle for vacuum force and once for heat level. All in all this device has been warmly welcomed as it reduces the steps needed to those with curly to extremely curly hair. And even though it is a tad on the bulky side to use it still is an item I would recommend.

RevAir Reverse-Air Dryer is one hair dryer I have never experienced before. the kinky hair comes out so straight it feels like magic. I mean this is like hair shop quality to its core. We love love LOVE this thing! As a household of POC, I truly feel like this is a product that's worth your time and money once you use it. Nothing like this has ever felt tailored to kinky hair so well. First; I have to say this works best if the hair is nice and damp it makes it easier for kinky hair to enter and makes it straight. it dries the hair extremely fast 3x the amount of a normal hair dryer, but it does it naturally. Also gives you a much more natural look to the hair texture and reduces the risk of long-term heat damage. In the box comes the Heat Producing Wand, Reverse-Air Base Unit, a Hose, Removable Filter Basket, Wand Rest, and an easy owner manual to get started as fast as possible. There is a QR Code inside the box for more useful information. The device is a little bit heavy while holding I will admit to but once you get adjusted to using the thing it's phenomenal. It sucks in small sections of hair in easy as long as you move it around in a circular pattern. if you place too much hair inside it will shut off the hair dryer. Overall I can get used to it and the way it leaves straight hair is truly amazing. I have no faults with the device at all. Again we love it and love using it. Hair-salon type of finish. There are three heat settings on board: Level I - 158F / 70C Level II - 220F / 105C Level O - No heat "cool shot" setting. The presentation is nice and RevAir definitely provides that for an open-box experience. Nothing is complicated at all so I like this and would give it more than 5 stars if I could. I believe some things can be improved upon like the weight of the wand and maybe a smaller design if possible but as it is it's perfect for drying our hair. Highly recommend it for kinky hair!

First and foremost, you can see and feel that this dryer is extremely high quality. The instructions are very straight forward and are easy to use. There is a very small learning curve. Your hair has to be very wet for best results. It is best to use right out of the shower, simply dampening your hair is not enough to get the intended results. You are to then use the dryer in three inch sections. I also recommend you start at the back of your head and move forward. I really liked the results. You can see the results in my photos. If you want very straight hair, better results can be had with a good straightener. However, this dryer gives you a very good result while you dry your hair. You must also ensure you find the right strength level as if it is too low you can end up with frizzy results. I also found that the dryer is heavier than most hair dryers. This will take some getting used to and I found myself having to hold the wand with both hands due to fatigue. The unit itself is extremely well made and works as advertised. It does take up a lot of space. You will need to create a large spot for it on your dresser, if not it may be a hassle to setup and put away each time you use it. Overall I am very pleased with this hair dryer!

I received RevAir’s newest Reverse Air Dryer to try out and review, I gave it to my wife to try out because unlike me, she has long curly frizzy hair. Here are her thoughts. Everything comes nicely packaged inside the box, I appreciate that there was no Styrofoam as that can be hard to get rid of because it cannot be recycled. The device itself is bigger and heavier than any other hair drying system I have ever seen, that is not good. But what is good is that everything was really easy to connect and RevAir made this device really easy to operate once you get started. Included in the box are very good easy to understand instructions, I would definitely read everything carefully, but if something seems unclear right away, I would just set up the machine and turn it on, you’ll see how easy it actually is to operate. My wife really liked it, it dries her hair really fast, small sections at a time. Like I mentioned before, she has long curly frizzy hair, but this machine almost instantly dried her hair, and made it very straight and silky, smooth. Yes, this device is somewhat pricey, but you get a lot here, it feels very premium in terms of materials used and build quality. The worst part is how heavy and bulky it can all be, but if you have the space for then, I highly recommend you give this product to try, it does all that it claims to do and more.

The RevAir Reverse-Air Hair Dryer promises to be a revolutionary product to dry and style your hair in a fraction of the time and with less heat damage than traditional hair dryers. I have to say, surprisingly, that the RevAir goes quite a long way to deliver on this promise. The RevAir comes off as a bit imposing at first. The whole system is quite large and there are multiple controls, but after connecting a few pieces together it is actually quite easy to use. The hendheld portion of the hair drier is very light and comfortable to hold compared to a standard hair drier. The vacuum portion is relatively loud but since it is not blowing air directly at you, it is quieter for the user. It's particularly effective for taming frizzy hair and reducing drying time. It took just about half as long to dry and straighten a full thick head of hair compared to a traditional routine. While the RevAir Reverse-Air Hair Dryer is undoubtedly an innovative product with many benefits, it's not without its drawbacks. It takes some practice to get the hang of using it, the suction can be quite strong, leading to tangling and discomfort if you grab too big a section of hair or leave the drier in one location too long. It's best to work in smaller segments and move the wand up amd down the length of the hair. This method will give the most even straightened look, it won't be quite as good as a flat iron but given the time savings and the improvement to hair health over time due to reduced heat exposure, it's a fair trade. Overall, if you're looking for a new hair dryer and are willing to invest in a higher-end option, the RevAir Reverse-Air Hair Dryer is definitely worth considering. Its unique technology and versatility make it a standout product.

Anyone with kinky curls knows what a pain it is to get those things straight. In fact, it may be worth the money and trouble once or twice a year. Chemicals to straighten or that lovely burning hair smell from the flat iron (not to mention the cursing as you singe your scalp every so often) makes it much more trouble than it’s worth most of the time. Needless to say I was extremely skeptical of the RevAir system. But we will try anything in search of easier straightening! The box is HEAVY! Obviously not just a hair dryer in there. My wife took one look and said “whoa! It’s a little shop-vac for my hair!” And she’s right, it totally is. Everything is nicely packaged and the directions for assembly and operation are well written and easy to follow. Yes, I said written. Not just a bunch of pictures, but actual steps written out to follow. I found that refreshing and it cut down on any frustration misunderstanding what to do. Oh, and there are photos of an actual person instead of a cartoon. I appreciate that. So once you have the little machine set up, hose and dryer attached, section your hair, choose your settings, and follow the exact instructions to suck up one section at a time. My wife’s took 90 seconds per section on high heat with level 4 tension. All dry and straight in ten minutes. We were both gobsmacked. No burning smell at all. No scalp burns. Just beautifully straight and dry hair. She’s in complete awe. She had friends over that evening and showed them all, claiming the RevAir her “new favorite thing”. We are having a straightening party with another curly-top later this week. In our forties. A hair party. Seriously. I don’t know why it took so long for this innovation to make its way to us, but if you have curly or kinky hair—it’s worth it to try!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Dry and straighten hair with less damage

I was very excited to try this new technology for styling my hair. I am constantly using a blow dryer and a flat iron because I like my hair straight (my natural hair is curly), so I was happy to find a method of straightening it with less damage. It works really great on my hair! My sister also tried it out, and it worked well, although it took more time because she has longer and curlier hair. In comparison to the blow dryer or flat iron, however, I would say it takes slightly less time. This dryer works like a vacuum: it suctions your hair, but you have to separate it in small sections. You don't need to use a brush like with the other hair dryers. I pass it through my hair a few times - around five times per section - from all the way up to the roots. It is important to note the size of this air dryer. It is big and heavy, which is the only thing I don't really like about it. It is not something you can take anywhere, but it works great if you are going to keep it in a fixed place. Another thing to keep in mind is that it has many parts to it, and it's very different from a typical hair dryer. Once you get the hang of it, though, it is a great way to style your hair so that it won't damage with so much heat. Overall, I am satisfied with the product and pleased to have tried it out!

Background: I have 3b bra strap length hair. I’ve had the Revair for 2 years. Overall thought: It has been a great addition to my hair care regime! Pros - Dries hair fast: It takes about 20 minutes for me to dry all of my hair. - Requires little effort to dry hair: Prior to purchasing the Revair I used a blow dryer with a comb attachment. Drying my hair used to take a lot of focus and manipulation to gently pull the comb through my hair. With the Revair I can suck my hair up in the tool, hold it there for 30-60 seconds and BOOM my hair is dried and super stretched Cons - The Revair is quite bulky making it challenging to store and not great for travel. - I’m not sure why but I can never the back of my hair as stretched as the front parts. This isn’t a deal breaker since I use a flat iron after drying my hair.

This hair dryer is great. It works just as intended and shortens the amount of time that I have to spend doing my daughters hair. We are natural and for most naturals we do not use much heat in our hair, simply for the health of our Godly crowns and to retain the beautiful shape of our curls. I’ve only straightened my daughters hair once since birth, simply because it was a tough and long job. Which included an inexpensive hot blow drier and flat iron (cringe), and a couple hours. She has beautiful long, thick curly hair with tons of shrinkage when in its natural state. She has begged me to make her hair straight since last year and although I’ve wanted to do it, I didn’t want to spend the time and risk further damage doing it. She has a tender scalp, which makes it even less fun, as she’s sensitive to detangling or heat near the scalp. Since I’m against tons of heat this unit has been a saving grace in the short time we’ve owned it. It’s unique in shape and operation but it’s allowed me to keep her scalp protected from the harsh heat and I’m able to adjust the heat settings. There were a couple times, as we were enjoying a movie together, as I did her hair in which I did allow (accidentally) for the wand mouth to get too close to the scalp and it got a bit too hot for her. That was user error so be warned that it still gets too hot if you’re not paying attention as to how close or long you’re holding it towards the scalp, as there are small openings that allow warm heat to emit to dry the roots. Other than that, she told me she was comfortable during the entire process. I was very impressed. So much so, I didn’t even bother with a flat iron and will continue to use this as the only method to “straighten” her hair. There was no stress or tension on her hair and it was a quick process. Her hair is just fine and her curls are still beautiful and bouncy. I’m very thankful to this brand for making such a device that’s easy to use and enjoyable for naturals to get a quicker, smoother, and more beautiful blowout without the added stress and unhealthy heat. My daughter loves it too.
