I installed this in one of our vehicles that has native CarPlay, but not wirelessly. I had another device installed that was really hit or miss as far as the connection to my iPhone (16 Pro Max) and the infotainment system. Having used the Rexing for the past few days, I have been able to successfully connect within about 45-60 seconds of starting the car -- much, MUCH better than the other adapter I had from another brand which took up to 3 minutes ... if it connected at all.
It's kind of hard to see, but I have it installed in a hidden compartment behind the infotainment system (the screen has a power lifter for storage). But the final result is perfection! It's a little misleading (see pictures) because the phone initially connects almost immediately to the car; but, when the Rexing CPW-2 connects, it disconnects the Bluetooth connection with the phone and utilizes the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connection from the adapted. But the result is perfect!
Nothing but the best from Rexing - I have their dash cams in all our vehicles and now *consistently* connected Wireless CarPlay!

I just connected this adaptor and tested for the first time. It couldn't have been more simple to set up. 1) I plugged the CPW-2 into my vehicle's USB 2) the vehicle recognized it as a carplay device 3) the CPW-2 caused instructions to be displayed on the vehicle console telling me to unpair and forget the existing Bluetooth connection between the vehicle and my phone 4) I paired my phone to the CPW-2 5) Carplay showed up on the vehicle console the same as it used to via USB. I also tested that I could play my phone music and make phone calls through the vehicle voice controls over the vehicle's speakers with only the bluetooth connection to the CPW-2. Very happy so far. The only hassle might be when my wife needs to connect her phone while we're in the car together which will either require me to disconnect from the bluetooth first or for her to plug her phone in via USB. I don't foresee any issue, but simultaneous connections like my vehicle supports would be a great update for the future.

An absolute must have if you have the older Android Auto that requires plugging your phone using a cable. The set up was quick and easy and Rexing supplied the necessary cables. Connections was seamless and consistent. Unit was actually a lot smaller than I thought it would be so it really fits anywhere. No more leaving the phone in the car. Love it

Nice upgrade for my Apple car play

I have Apple car play on my car but it was wired. I thought unless it is a factory built in, aftermarket wireless car play adapters are ineffective and don't work properly. I'm glad I had this item. My car play turned to a wireless one. I didn't notice delay on communication either.

The Rexing CPW-2 Wireless CarPlay Adapter makes it easy to switch from wired to wireless CarPlay, so you can stop dealing with annoying cables. It connects quickly to your iPhone over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and the connection stays strong for smooth music, calls, and navigation. The setup is super simple, and once it's paired, you can use Siri to control everything without touching your phone. Overall, it's a great upgrade if you want to simplify your CarPlay experience

I’ve researched deeply the “Wireless CarPlay Adapters” and I was not impressed until I bought the Rexing product. It has worked from the moment I connected the device usbc to my car and Bluetooth to my phone. No latency experienced and it restarts and connects when I start my car. Goodby cables! Nice job Product Team!!!!

Lag in connection

There was a lot of lag in connection when first getting in the vehicle. Seemed like I needed to connect and reconnect Bluetooth or WiFi in order for it to cycle properly. Recently purchased the cpw-42 with hopes in improvement in connectivity issues. I also was not a fan of the size of the adapter & needing a cable. A usb dongle is more desirable with my f150. Once it was connected it worked really well.

The Rexing CPW-2 has been a nice little upgrade to my daily commute. I like to keep things tidy in my car and I've always been weary of tangled wires. The switch to wireless CarPlay has been a breath of fresh air. The initial setup in a 2022 Honda Accord with an iPhone 14 was a breeze: plug it in, disconnect the phone from the previous Bluetooth connection with the infotainment, pair it to the Rexing CPW-2, and you're good to go. Since then, every time I start my car, the phone connects automatically, and I'm greeted with the familiar CarPlay interface on my screen.
I'm impressed by the CPW-2's compact design. A little square box measuring 2.5 inches on each side and half an inch thick, it's so small and discreet that it easily disappears once plugged in, leaving my car clutter-free. This is a great advantage over bulkier adapters that I've come across, and also a much cheaper option than having a similar feature installed by my dealership; they were asking more than $500.
The CPW-2 delivers on its promise of wireless CarPlay functionality. I've enjoyed using Google Maps, streaming music, and making hands-free calls, all without plugging in my phone. The audio quality is as good as the wired connection, and I haven't experienced any lag or connectivity issues as of this writing.
The only issue I've had, which might be related to the car itself, is a compatibility issue with Honda's HandsFreeLink, which I frequently use to control certain vehicle functions. You cannot connect both at the same time as far as I've experienced. However, I have devised a system where I used the CPW-2 connected during my drives to take advantage of the wireless connectivity and I only connect to the car HandsFreeLink when needed. I wish there was a better way around it, but I haven't found it yet.
Despite this small hiccup, I'm overall satisfied with the Rexing CPW-2 for its user-friendly simplicity and reliability. My in-car experience has been well enhanced with this compact wireless CarPlay adapter. It is a worthy investment if you're looking to 'cut the cord' and enjoy the convenience of wireless CarPlay.

I like Rexing products. I had one of their dash cams and was very happy with it. This product is another great product by Rexing.
I've been in the market for one of these wireless Carplay adapters. I like easy. Who doesn't? This Carplay adapter from Rexing is easy. I love it. I like the small size, I like the quality, I like that it comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable as well as a USB-A to USB-C cable as well.
Setup is pretty easy. Connect your phone bluetooth and follow the onscreen instructions. It took me about 2-3 minutes to set up and get working. The one thing I noticed that was problematic for me, and this could have just been something I did wrong, but after I initially got it paired to my phone, several car drives later, it picked up my sons phone but did not fully connect to it and I could not get the screen to change away from trying to pair to his phone. We even shut his phone completely off. I ended up having to factory reset the unit. It was weird, but hasn't happened again since that one time.
There is a short delay after starting up the vehicle before it will pick up and connect to my phone but I think that is pretty normal for these units. I feel like this is pretty much a set it and forget it unit. And the company made it small enough that it's easy to tuck away in my vehicle. I haven't had any issues with the unit since the issue with my son's phone and it's so much more convenient than having to manually connect your phone every time you want to use Carplay.
I would recommend this unit to anyone who is looking for the convenience of wireless Carplay in their vehicle.

Setting up this device was very simple. First, I plugged it into the wired CarPlay usb port, turned on the vehicle letting it boot up. Go into settings in my phone then Bluetooth. The phone searched for the Bluetooth device. It didn’t find it so I turned Bluetooth off on the phone and turned it back on and lo and behold, it appeared. I paired it and after about a minute it started working. Now, every time I go to get in my vehicle ,it works perfectly. The sound quality is that of when it was wired which is excellent. I don’t have wireless car charging so I need to keep an eye on the charging.levels of the phone. All of the car play applications work flawlessly and have no delay or lagging. If you are looking for a device like this I highly recommend it. The device comes highley recommended. With the ease of setting it up after I turned off the Bluetooth made it effortless. With no lag and the ease of setup and wonderful sound and clarity, I would highly recommend this device.

Good solution for wireless CarPlay

I drive a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. It's not the highest end model in the Santa Fe line, but it's amongst the top 2. The car is nice with lots of bells and whistles available. One of the most idiotic things about the car is it's lack of wireless CarPlay (or Android Auto as well). Because it comes with "Hyundai's premium Navigation system", wireless CarPlay is unavailable. The base model Santa Fe without the Navigation system and thousands cheaper, DOES have wireless CarPlay. It's stupid. I'm not sure why the Nav system prevents wireless CarPlay, but it does. The Hyundai Nav system is awful and I'd much rather use Apple Maps on my phone to Navigate. My only way to do this is a wired connection though.
Enter the Rexing wireless CarPlay adapter. I'm familiar with Rexing from their dash cams (I've had great luck with them), but never knew they offered a wireless adapter for CarPlay. The unit is small, only about 2" square and comes with a short USB-A or USB-C lead to plug into your car USB port. My car uses USB-A, so that was the lead I went with. Steo one is plugging it in and connecting it to your iphone via Bluetooth. This was a relatively easy. Once connected, my Santa Fe read the adapter and displayed the CarPlay interface. Once up and running, it worked identically to how CarPlay worked while wired. Phone, music, maps, etc. all worked fine. There was no real delay of any sort from what I could tell between making a selection on the CarPlay screen and the action executing. I could leave the adapter in place (I ended up using a longer cord and routing it inder the dash and out of the way. The Hyundai CarPlay port is not in an out of the way location) and things connected each time I started the car. It took a minute or so to connect, but it did so successfully most of the time. I now didn't need to plug in the phone every time I got in the car.
The downsides (so far) are few. It's failed to connect properly maybe one out of 10 times I've started the car. Honestly, it's hard to tell if that issue was due to the adapter, the car, or the bluetooth from the iphone. I did have occasional connection issues while wired, so it might not be the adapoter's problem. If it failed, unplugging and plugging back in usually worked. The only other issue is a bit of a nit- it's always powered. Even when the car is off. Since the USB jack is hot, the adapter is on. This means a small current draw is always on your battery. Is it enough to make a difference? I doubt it, but it might in other cases.
Overall, the Rexing CarPlay adapter is a nice addition to my everyday drive. I no longer have to have my phone tied directly to the car and can leave it in my pocket or bag instead.
