Wireless CarPlay adapters are now readily available, and while at the core, they’re all pretty similar, some tend to be more reliable than others. This Rexing adapter works both with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, which is really convenient if you have a car that supports both and a household with both ecosystems. While my car does support both CarPlay and Android Auto, I only have an iPhone so I use this adapter with CarPlay only. I’ve set up several other similar adapters and setting up this one was a breeze! Plug it in to the port in your car that is enabled for wired CarPlay, then go to your phone and pair to its Bluetooth. From there, the iPhone confirms the pairing request and then asks if you want to use the adapter with CarPlay. Accept both and that was it! The connection seems fast and stable, and reconnection when getting back in the car was fast as well. The adapter is not the smallest I’ve seen, but it is still very compact. It supports your choice of USB-A or USB-C and the cable is detachable so you can use a longer or shorter one of your choosing if necessary for a clean and clutter-free installation. A few small suggestions for improvement: the “connected” LED is on the bottom near the connector, which may not be visible depending on your installation location. While you don’t need to see it all the time, it might be nice to have a more visible indication on the front of the adapter. Also, it would be a welcome addition to include some velcro-like attachment strips so you can mount it properly without it flopping around while driving. Aside from the few small suggestions, this adapter worked great and so far I have no issues. I’ve played music through it, navigated, played podcasts, and used my car’s buttons to control it all without a problem. This is definitely an easy way to free your phone of that CarPlay wire.

I’m obsessed with this little adapter - hop in, start the car, and my iPhone’s playlist is already rolling before I click the seatbelt. No cords, no fuss, instant connection every time. Through city traffic, tunnels, or long hauls, it never drops; music’s crisp, maps update fast, and Siri handles texts hands-free. Setup was 30 seconds: plug in, pair, done. It’s tiny, blends into the dash, and honestly makes driving fun again. Pure happiness in a box.

I have used Rexing dashcams for the past 10+ years. I never had any issues; the products are always easy to install and very reliable. I love the lightweight design, which makes it easy to attach and install. The setup was very quick with no issues. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a reliable product. I had been looking for a way to get a more stable Bluetooth connection to my Samsung phone, and this one seems to fit nicely. I have a 2025 Hyundai Palisade, but it only connects with a wire—I’m not sure why. My car has Android Auto, but I needed to plug my phone in for it to connect. This device makes it easier to connect to our devices. This little device upgrades my stereo reliably without needing to add on any other components. The unit is pretty tiny, making it convenient to store or carry around if needed. It comes with both USB-A and USB-C cables to fit your needs. Overall, I’m really happy that this device allows me to listen to my music AND have a decent, steady Bluetooth connection while in my SUV. The device works incredibly well, providing a smooth and responsive experience. The wireless connection is strong and reliable, with no noticeable delays or dropouts during use. Audio streaming and phone calls are very clear, and the device maintains a stable connection, even on longer drives. After plugging it into the USB port, simply follow the on-screen instructions and turn on your Bluetooth and WiFi. You’ll see the blue light blinking on the device itself. The process is quick, and you can be up and running in minutes. There's no need for additional apps or complicated procedures, which is a major plus. As a professional driver of multiple different brands of luxury vehicles, from sedans to coaches, this is a great addition that is very portable, reliable, and simple to operate.

My wife has an Iphone 15 Pro and for some reason it wouldn't connect to her 2018 Honda Accord EX-L. Strangely, her work Iphone 16 did. This adapter did not connect with her personal phone but my Iphone 15 Pro did in her car. I also tried my Pixel 9 Pro and my S22 Ultra which all connected to the Android Auto interface. Something HAD to be wrong with her Iphone. I have the same adapter as I bought two from BB online and installed it in my 2018 Subaru Legacy Limited. All of my devices and her work Iphone connected as well but not her personal Iphone. I would suggest to fellow reviewers or future purchasers, reset ALL SETTINGS in the Iphone General,Transfer or Reset,Reset then Reset All Settings. This appeared to be the reason for her inability to connect to her stereo system. Once performed, her Iphone connected to my and her stereo units and all is well so far. Simply make sure you have your Wi-fi settings and bluetooth connected to the devices name(8 letter and number combination). If you need to reset the settings use the number 8 eight times as a password. This really adds convenience to your driving experience. I would absolutely recommend this adapter. Glad to help!

Been looking for someway to get a more stable Bluetooth connection to my iPhone and this one seems to fit the bill nicely. I've used those cheaper BT dongles and they always seemed to be really iffy on the connection. As such, I'd lose connection to my Bluetooth dongle pretty routinely. I just want to listen to the music on my iPhone through my car stereo...that's it. I have an old 2012 F150 so the stereo could be a lot nicer. This little thing "upgrades" my stereo reliably without needing to add on any other components and such. The unit is pretty tiny so it's convenient to store/carry around if need be. I plan on mounting it somewhere on the console with some double sided tape just to keep it out of the way. Comes with both USB-A and USB-C cables to fit your needs. Overall, really happy this thing allows me to listen to my music AND have a decent, steady Bluetooth connection while in my truck

The Rexing CPW-22 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Adapter is a great and small device that transforms the in-car experience by eliminating the need for cables connected to your phone. Setting it up was easy. I simply plugged the adapter into my car’s USB port, paired it with my phone via Bluetooth, and within seconds, my CarPlay went wireless. The process was quick and no need of installing additional apps on your phone; just plug and play. The connection itself is very stable. I haven’t noticed any lag, and the audio quality is clear. It also automatically connects every time I start the car. The adapter is compact and easy to store and it comes with both USB-A and USB-C cables to ensure compatibility with a wide range of vehicles, I'm using the USB-A at the moment. I also appreciate that it works with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, making it versatile if you share the car with someone who has a different device, I tried it on an Apple phone. Overall, the Rexing CPW-22 is great, reliable product that brings a modern, wireless experience. If you have a vehicle with wired CarPlay or Android Auto and want to upgrade to a wireless setup, this adapter is definitely worth the investment! Highly recommended.

I've been looking for a way to get a more stable Bluetooth connection to my Samsung phone, and this one seems to be the best choice. I have a 2006 Honda Element with an aftermarket radio that has wireless/wired android auto, but it's wireless connection with Android Auto seems problematic. The CPW-22 device makes it easier for me to connect wirelessly to the card radio. The device is small, making it convenient to mount or move around the dashboard if needed. It comes with both USB cables to fit most of your devices. I’m happy that this device allows me to play music and have navigation and have a stable Bluetooth connection. The CPW-22 works well, wireless connection is strong and reliable, with no noticeable delay or cutout during use. Music and phone calls are clear. I have Rexing dashcams for all vehicles I owned and have owned the past 5 years and never had any issues. Their products are always easy to install and very reliable. It's easy to install. Setup was very quick with no issues. Highly recommend this if you are looking for a reliable product.

The Rexing CPW-22 is exactly what I was looking for. I absolutely love this thing and wish I'd known about it sooner. I was constantly having problems with my wired Android Auto disconnecting from the wire getting pulled from my phone, etc. This device fixed all of that and I don't have to worry about it anymore. Installation was super easy and it came with everything that I needed. It comes with both a usb c to c and a usb a to c cable allowing you to connect it to either setup. I just plugged it in, waited for the light to turn blue, and I was able to connect my phone right away via Bluetooth. The device is about half the size of my hand. This makes it easy to hide out of the way. Setup was easy and my phone hasn't had any problem connecting. Each time I get in the vehicle it connects automatically and brings Android Auto up on the screen. It's so much more convenient than dealing with having to plug a wire into the phone. It saved me from having to upgrade the whole radio. I highly recommend this for anyone that has an older radio that only supports Android Auto or Car Play.

The Rexing wireless Apple Carplay & Android Auto USB adapter is a nice addition to a vehicle with out it. I added it to my truck that does not have wireless CarPlay and I must say it works wonderfully. The only thing I ran into, was the iphone has to have at lest ios 10 or Android Auto 8. Other than that, they give you 2 USB cables (C to C & A to C) to work with your vehicle and checking how long it takes to display CarPlay with I turn on the vehicle was just 25 seconds. Not to bad! I think you will be happy with this adapter,

I was excited to get the Rexing CPW-22 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Adapter. A few years back, I replaced the factory entertainment system in my 2014 Prius V with an Alpine unit with Apple CarPlay. I also had another wireless CarPlay accessory for a wireless connection. That accessory has worked fine, but connecting was a bit slow. I am already using a Rexing Dashcam and am quite happy with it, so I was excited to try their wireless solution. After it arrived, I unboxed it and read the instructions, which are quite well written and illustrated. I plugged it into the entertainment system's USB and followed the Bluetooth steps. My iPhone 15 recognized the Rexing unit and attempted to connect. However, it would not connect. I disconnected, turned my car off, and started over. I still could not connect to my iPhone. It was interesting that the CarPlay pop-up message appeared. Instead of being Bluetooth connected, I was connected via WiFi. Nevertheless, I connects quickly, and it is working great. Note: Rexing says, "For Factory Wired CarPlay & Android Auto Cars." I have an aftermarket Alpine iLX-407 unit, and it is working so far, so good.

I had the previous version of the Rexing Wireless CarPlay adapter (CPW-2) and was very pleased with it. The newer version, the CPW-22 looks almost identical to the previous model. It seems to connect to my phone more quickly and, over the past few days of using it, I haven't lost connection. This is a great alternative for cars that have CarPlay but require your phone to be plugged in. My only caveat - the wireless adapter does chew through battery so make sure you have either a wireless charging pad or charging cable that plugs into a cigarette charger (not the native USB - that will confuse the car's infotainment system because it will see two "CarPlay" devices connected).

I am a big fan of Rexing cameras and have purchased a few. This is also a big hit with me for my 2017 GTI. Make sure your car comes with Android auto or carplay before your purchase it. It took me some time to understand how to connect it but when it was connected it automatically starts back up when I enter the car. I finally dont have to fiddle with wires. I had to tell my car to connect to android auto the first time after connecting my phone to the rexing bluetooth.

The Rexing CPW-22 CarPlay & Android Auto Adapter worked amazingly for my use case! I own a 2018 Honda Civic EX and a 2023 Nissan Sentra SV; unfortunately, both require wired connections. I was able to use the included wires in this unit to connect it to my car and enable wireless CarPlay. It's great that I no longer have to plug in my phone every time. I just start my car, and it automatically brings up Android Auto for me. That way, I don't have to take my phone out of my pocket. All in all, for the price, it does the job well and seems very stable so far.

My 2018 Honda CR-V doesn't have a wireless carplay option so I always have to plug in the USB cable to my iPhone to play music. It's not helpful if one of my passengers in the back wants to play their music through carplay. With the help of this Rexing wireless CarPlay, anyone in the car can play their music or open their Navigation app to display on the car screen. It's also only one-time pairing set up, after the initial one, I just start my car and the CarPlay automatically connects.

I have been a Rexing dashcam customer for 5+ years and have been quite happy with the purchases. This is my first purchase of the android as well as apple adapter. I was getting tired of replacing the cable to connect my smartphone to activate android auto and sometimes it just does not work. This wireless adapter solved those issues and works as advertised, I tested it for apple CarPlay as well and it just works. I tested it on 2019 Honda HRV and 2017 Honda Pilot.

Setup was super easy—I just plugged it into the USB port, paired my phone via Bluetooth, and that was it. Now, every time I get in, CarPlay starts automatically without me having to touch my phone. The connection is strong and reliable, with no noticeable lag when using maps, music, or voice commands. Calls come through crystal clear, and I haven’t experienced any major dropouts. There is a slight delay in audio syncing but very normal for this type of tech.
