There isn't really much to say about this dashcam. It performs how you would expect.
The quality of the front camera is amazing, but the back camera is a little lackluster.
The sidemirror indicator works with some tweaking, but I found it quite gimmicky in the long run. I can't speak on the backup camera function since I haven't hooked it up.
The screen is great, but I wouldn't recommend keeping it on to see behind you. It's hard to see during the day with glare from the sun and headlights at night make it unusable. Luckily its works great as a mirror when off. Using the screen to view video and change settings is easy and convenient.
Installation is fairly easy for the front camera/screen. However, installing the rear camera is kind of a pain. It takes a fair amount of time shoving wires behind the roof, and, in my case, I had to tape the rear camera to back windows since I was unable the wire it on the outside. Beware the front screen is fairly hefty and will cause your mirror to tilt down in hot weather. My suggestion is to blast the A/C for a few minutes to put it in the right position.
Overall, great device with some tedious installation.

Both the front and rear cameras work real well, I've been using it for two weeks now no problems have come up. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is due to the rear camera quality at night. It illuminates pretty good but it doesn't handle car headlights too well. Cars turn into balls of light from a distance, but once up close the license plate and car look fine. I wish the camera could adjust to the headlights better, but at least I know there's a car behind me. Overall the video quality is quite good for the price, and it comes with the handy feature of blind spot detection. (Keep in mind that there is cable management to be considered with this product but you can look up a video on YouTube to figure it out.)

This camera has some great features, and produces a quality video. The camera views are very clear, setting are easy, touch screen is super fast.
Setting up the device at first appears daunting, but when you read the instructions a few features that are used frequently and they become familiar.
All in all a good unit at a good price. If you have a good spot to mount the camera I would highly recommend this unit.

Installed in my 08 Toyota FJ Cruiser to address poor rear visibility. This mirror is quite easy to install, and is a huge upgrade on the stock mirror. The upgraded HD camera is a necessity for nighttime driving for a clear view with cars behind. Excellent wide angle view, and the built in GPS and recording capabilities are a necessity these days for safety and security
I highly recommend for anyone driving a vehicle with limited rear/side view due to vehicle design.

Easy to install. Accessing and understanding functions was relatively easy. I mounted the rear facing camera to the inside of my roof panel so the camera is just inside the rear glass to better protect it and it's wires.

Very good dash cam. Pros are the ease of use and setup. The screen turns into a mirror when off so it complies with all FHWA and DOT laws. The microphone also records sound inside the car. If you have the GPS antenna (sold separately) the recording will have speed as well. Cons are if you have multiple drivers and are constantly adjusting the mirror, you have to remember to re-aim the front camera. Also if the environment is too loud in the car the audio recording dips in and out.

Love this car cam! Easy install, easy to set up and playback straight from the mirror display. It has a good clear playback and i like that it makes night view nice and bright. Good control settings and i love that its front and back! Only a couple of cons but i can live with them. Have to remove from the mirror to access the card. If card was at the bottom it would be much simpler. Also, with convertible top down there is a bad glare making it hard to use rearview mirror (i use my side mirrors when its down because of the glare), but I'm guessing any car cam would have that issue. Will be getting a second one for second convertible. Excellent product for the price!

i am in love with my new dash cam. i can record the front AND the back while also doubling up as a backup camera when i reverse. as far as i can tell, it is able to record sounds, speed, direction, time, and it records the front in 2k and the rear in 1080. it doesn't come with a micro-SD card so without it you can still use it as a rear-view camera. it has sensors for backing up and for assisted driving. this thing made just brought my 2012 onto 2025 no joke way ahead of the stock tech most cars come with. the biggest let down to me was the fact that i couldn't see the front and the back at the same time i can only see one or the other. there's another brand sold by best buy that has more capability such as simultaneous view, and a better price range, but there's a reason why this one ultimately wins in my book.
it is not better than the other brand mirror dash cam best buy has for sale, but this one can be bought with a proprietary hardwire kit, which means you don't have to use up the cigarette lighter in the car and can instead be connected out of sight to the cars fuse box. WAY easier to do than it sounds, and best buy did a great job at cable management. there's way to do this with dash cams that don't come with proprietary cabling but ultimately this was the way to do it for me since i eliminate compatibility issues since its made to work together.

Man , Oh man...what a great mirror. It does everything including date, time, day, NSEW direction, and the cameras are like Iphone cameras. Beautiful design, easy installation, gps, dual vision (front and rear) or just plain mirror if desired. Great price for all the features and it responds immediately. Love it! Good job by rexing

Decent Dashcam, Rear Camera Failed After a Year

I’ve had a mixed experience with this product. The initial installation was incorrect, but Best Buy customer support was able to fix it. However, the camera felt too heavy for my car. The system worked well for about a year, but now, as I write this review, the dashcam is functioning while the rear camera has stopped working. I’m hoping this issue will be covered under the warranty.

This is a decent product that gives your car a unique look.
PROS:
* Crisp and clear front and rear video
* Easy to toggle between front and back
* Can be turned off to use just as a mirror
* Has a few safety features to go with it
CONS:
* After a few hours continued use it starts to blank out
* Picture freezes and sometimes won't work at all
* Camera has to be mounted inside the car rather than outside
* Camera angle doesn't camera make it clear how close the vehicle is to backing up to an object
* Reset button should be underneath the mirror not back of it
It is a cool product to have as it makes viewing your rear in a different light. For those who don't drive much it is great to have. As a backup camera to assist with parking, not that great.

As a full size pickup truck owner, I was looking for a dash cam and rear cam combo for backup support. When this came up on sale it was a no-brainer. It has too many useful features to get into now, but they all are perfect for the full size truck owner. Touch screen is nice and works well. I did a test setup before running all the wiring and all went without a problem. Note: full size pickups with crew or super cabs will need a rear camera cable extension. From Amazon I ordered the 4 Pin 16.5Ft Dash Cam Rear View Backup Camera Reverse Car Recorder Cable Extension Cord (4-pin 16.5ft) for $11.95) Even adding the cost of buying the rear camera ext cable, I think this is a good cost/value purchase. I will be siliconing any seam and connection that I feel could be suspect, but the extra effort is worth it. Throw in an order of mini wire clips when you get the cable extension - its worth the few extra bucks. Time will tell if the mirror straps hold up to years of intense hot and cold, but I have no reason to think they wont. I was ready to give it 4 stars because the rear cam short cable (2' more would have been perfect) but all the features and specs pushed it to 5.

I bought this to have better range of view in front and better backup camera than my Honda CR-V.
I haven't installed it yet because there is no micro SD card included in the box.

This is my first dashcam and I am very pleased with with it so far. I had Best Buy install this for me since I bought Universal Intelligent Hardwire Kit also. (Best Buy did an amazing job on the install). I was surprised by the quality of both cameras. Very clear, works well at night as well. I still have to dial in the settings for the BSD and ADAS. The BSD works well as far as I can, haven't really played with the ADAS all that much yet. Cant see it in my car either which I like. Software in the device seems to work well. Very responsive. The only thing that I have to get used to is the screen being reflective so sometimes my eyes has trouble focusing on the screen or refection in bright light.
