My wife was just complaining that our Ford Focus sedan is hard to see out of when backing out of a parking space. It was built before back up cameras were common so it doesn’t have that feature. I saw this product and thought it might fill the bill. When it arrived, I was surprised at how large the mirror actually is. It’s several inches wider than our factory mirror which is a bit of a double edged sword. It’s nice that it’s a large, high quality screen but it blocks some of your view of the road too. The other problem we ran into is that it’s got some weight to it. Our mirror is going on twelve years old and isn’t the tightest so with the extra weight we had some vibration. I fixed that with some shims cut from a cereal box and slipped in where the day/night switch sits. That tightened it up enough that the screen doesn’t shake. The rubber straps provided keep the screen snug to the mirror head, no complaints there but the weight of the screen causes the mirror to slowly droop as you drive. Every couple of days we have to tilt the mirror back up. The wiring part of the install was easy. The BestBuy Edition mirror includes the Rexing Smart Hardwire Kit, which allows you to tap into your fuse box for power without splicing. You just need to locate one fuse in the box that has power all the time, one that has power with the ignition on, and you need to tap into your reverse light power wire near the camera in the back of the car. The kit also came with a GPS antenna, the camera and wiring, and a plug you can use to power the unit off a power point socket instead of the Smart Hardwire Kit. The image quality on the screen is very nice, but if you’re planning on using this in place of a rear view mirror (like, say if you have really dark tint in your rear window and can’t see out otherwise) then you should know that the headlights of vehicles close behind you at night will blind the camera and you get a substantial white glare on the camera feed. If you don’t have dark tint, since the screen is a mirror too, the headlights will reflect in the mirror as well as the glare in the video feed. I didn’t care for that. The screen as delivered has two clear protectors on it. One definitely is made to be removed, it has a pull tab on it. The second protector may actually be a fingerprint resist. If you don’t peel that one off then the screen is hazy, if you do peel it off then the screen shows every fingerprint and that might be contributing to the reflections I mentioned. So peel at your own risk! I like the way the video files are organized and accessed. It’s completely intuitive and easy to find what you’re looking for. I also like that you can view the video clips right on the device. This is my third dash cam and neither of my other ones are capable of this. It’s SO easy! The front and rear cameras record all the time and you can view the live feed in split screen mode on the mirror. The camera settings allow you to flip, mirror, or flip+mirror the rear camera feed so no matter which way you mount the camera you can fix the image so it’s right side up and oriented correctly. You can select to have the video display on the mirror either never go to sleep, or sleep after one or two minutes. We have ours set to one minute and just use it as a regular mirror until you shift to reverse again. One other complaint I have is the size of the image on the screen. The image is actually larger in height than you can view all at once, which allows you to swipe the screen up or down to “look” higher or lower as if you’re tilting the camera. The displayed image is really wide but it’s so short I can either adjust the “look” or the physical camera down to where I can see the pavement right behind the bumper OR I can adjust the “look” or the physical camera up so I can see behind the car a fair distance to see if it’s clear to back out of a space but I haven’t found a spot where I can can see both the ground behind the car and have that field of view higher behind the car at the same time. Hoping they might address that with a software update at some point. I would probably trade off some width of the field of view to gain the height if I could. I have a truck with a factory back up camera and it is able to display a view like that and I find that more useful. You can actually adjust the “look” on the front camera, the rear camera and the park mode camera each independently and it remembers those settings which is pretty neat. Connecting my mobile device to the mirror thru the app was easy, downloading clips was intuitive but it did take a couple minutes to download each clip especially clips from the 4k front camera.

Rexing Dash Cam is a worthwhile investment

This Rexing M2 Max Pro 4K WiFi GPS Mirror Dash Cam is an incredibly worthwhile addition to a vehicle. In addition to a dash cam, it includes safety features found on newer vehicles including blind spot detection and a rear camera that enables rear collision warning and can become your back-up camera. Installation can be somewhat complicated as it involves wiring and running wires through your vehicle, from the rear tail lights to the front fuse box and under the edge of the headliner and trunk liner. I fully admit I am not adept at something like this, so for now I have it plugged into my "cigarette lighter" with the included adapter and it is working perfectly. I figured if I liked this enough, I would have Geek Squad professionally install it for me. I have not set up the rear camera or the GPS module, but I am making that installation appointment now, and they will do it all for me. As for setup, that is the easy part. Plug whichever wiring type you chose to use into the USB-C port on the top of the mirror and it automatically starts recording. There are numerous settings on the touch mirror itself. The standard like date/time, language, etc and other settings for things like turning on its wifi so that you can use the Rexing Connect app to see and download your videos and photos. You can also see the videos directly from the dash cam mirror. You set the safety features on or off - you can have the front or the back set to on - you can't have both at the same time. To explain how this works, it actually attaches to the front of your current rear view mirror with 2 rubberized bands and becomes your new rear view mirror. Mine has not fallen off or even wobbled - it seems pretty sturdy. It is a 12" touch screen that controls 2 cameras - a dash cam that records up to 4K - the quality of the image recorded in 4K is quite remarkable, it is extremely clear and bright. The rear camera records at 1080p. It has simple touch controls that are fairly intuitive to use. The dash cam will record from the camera on your new rear view mirror constantly, when it is powered on, in a loop of 1, 2 or 3 minutes - it is your choice. Recording is done to a micro SD card (not included), and the quality is really good. The loop recording will eventually fill up your micro SD card and then it will begin to over-write from the oldest recordings. If there’s something you want to keep, you can lock it so that it won’t be recorded over. I drive with the front camera streaming turned off (but it is still recording) and it becomes my rear view mirror. It does have a somewhat dark tint to it, like having a tint on your rear window. If you choose to hook up the rear camera, you can stream that to your mirror. When I have that set-up, that is what I will do to get an even better look at what is going on behind me. You know those times when you drive with a car full of balloons or you're taking a load of furniture somewhere and you can't see out your back window? This will alleviate that issue because the camera will be at the rear of your vehicle, without obstruction. There are a lot of additional features included. There is some sort of night vision that increases the clarity and brightness of night time recording. There is a wide 170 degree field of view that can pick-up a lot that goes on in front of your vehicle. There is a G-sensor (you can set the sensitivity to high, med or low) and if there is some sort of impact, when you're away from your vehicle, it will record a 15 second video and lock it (so it won't be over-written). Overall, the Rexing M2 Max Pro 4K WiFi GPS Mirror Dash Cam is amazing. With all of its features and the quality, it is a definite "recommend" for anyone in the market for a dash cam or anyone looking to add safety features including a back-up camera to their older vehicle.

    Versatile dash cam

First- This is NOT a rearview mirror! This is a dash cam that goes over the rearview mirror. When looking at the rear view, you do see behind your car but you do NOT see in the back seat. If you have children or an infant and need to see them, this will not work for your needs. I have an older grandchild and was talking to him while he was in the back seat- I looked at the mirror out of habit and was surprised that I couldn't see him! Next- Set up was easy for the basic camera. The front facing camera is on the part that covers your mirror. The rear camera can be mounted inside (as I have it) or above your license plate. Inside was easier with my SUV. They provide a tool that lets you push the wire inside the window frames so it is out of the way. I am sure I could have it professionally installed and it would be even more out of the way. I did not hard wire the extra red wire for the rear camera which would be sure that rear camera would automatically display when I put the car in reverse. I prefer the display to always be the rear camera mode since it is in the place of my rear view mirror. I want to be able to see the back. I have a whole windshield to see out the front. I don't also need the display to be the front camera. It does have a split screen view that permits both front and rear viewing simultaneously. I also did not self- install the parking surveillance mode. I park in my driveway or garage and don't have to worry about being hit while parked. This also requires some hard wiring that I felt was beyond my abilities. If you have this wired, it would detect a sudden movement and would trigger a recording to hopefully catch the license plate of the person who hit you! My car is an older model and does not have the fancy safety features like blind spot warning and lane departure. I like that I can set that on this camera. I can know if there is a car in my blind spot before changing lanes on the highway. It makes audible tones - different sounds for left and right. I am still learning which side sounds like what. You need to select whether you want to have the Advanced Driver Assistance Program (ADAS) which monitors forward collision warning and lane departure warnings, or the Blind Spot Detector. You cannot have both. Both certainly keep you safer than not having anything at all! I have had several dash cams and I think this by far, is my favorite. I like the added lane departure and blind spot detection. I do miss having a rear view mirror at times-when I have a rear passenger or need to check my teeth for food! At least I have a mirror on my visor!

Great 4 cars that don't have backup cameras + More

First and foremost if you don't know how to do wiring or mess around with a car don't try to do this by yourself unless you feel confident in what you are doing and willing to spend hours and hours figuring out what to do. If you don't or can't do car work on your own got to Geek Squad or another local car stereo place to install this for you. I have been in the market to buy a similar model for some time now so I am thrilled that I have it now. Plus you might lose out on being able to use all the features available if you don't install it correctly. Also note, to store more video footage I would recommend a high quality micro SD card so you can pull video over a longer period of time. With that in mind setup for me took about 2 hours total. I ended up hard wiring using t-taps to an existing tap I made and all. I also properly tucked the wire and most of all I made sure I picked a good wire run to maximize/minimize being short of the connections I needed to accomplish the installation. Software on Android took all but a few minutes. Something else to keep in mind if you have a newer rear view mirror like the one that automatically dims or has garage or gate openers the Rex mirror does not completely sit dead center. It wants to sit a bit off center and it looks bigger than if it were on an old regular not smart rear view mirror. Features are really nice. Rear camera and front camera image quality is great. So the biggest thing I had to get used to was not being able to look in the rear view mirror to be able to look inside of the cabin of the car. For those cars that do not have a backup camera this is a god send. It helps with parallel parking and backing up to make sure you don't wack anything. GPS use for speed and date and time etc is nice. Super nice product and would definitely recommend it for cars that don't have backup cameras or if you want combination dash cams and backup camera and GPS functionality this is the product for you. Nice job Rexing.

Keep The Interior Decluttered With This Dash Cam

    – OVERVIEW – The Rexing M2 Max Pro 4K WiFi GPS Mirror Dash Cam is a clever way of incorporating a dash cam system to your car without having the look of an additional peripheral on your windshield or your dashboard. The M2 is a 12” IPS display shaped like a rear view mirror and attaches to your actual rear view mirror. With this screen, it will provide a live feed of both front (built into the main unit) and included rear view camera. Lastly, the kit also includes a GPS antenna to provide location and speed statistics. Recording is dual channel; you’ll get separate recording files for front and rear cameras. These files can be browsed through using the touchscreen display or using the Rexing app via WiFi. – LOOK/FEEL – Right off the bat, it’s worth mentioning that the M2 actually acts as a rear view mirror when the LCD is turned off. So in the worst case scenario, the unit goes out or becomes inoperable, you’ll still have a mirror to use. This is very important because you don’t want to lose rear vision while driving and try to finagle the M2 off your actual rear view mirror. Anyway, the M2 is a lot larger than most rear view mirrors, but it didn’t bother me as I think it still looks very factory vs having another peripheral hanging around. Around the back, you’ll find the front camera off to the left end of the unit so that there is room to mount on your mirror. At the top, there are 3 ports (USB-C for power, port for rear view, port for gps camera) and a microSD slot; on the bottom there is a simple on/off button. The body is primarily made of plastic. – SETUP – Setup contains two parts: the actual installation of the camera and then the setup parameters of the camera. Installation will vary from car to car; I installed it in a ‘24 Honda Civic sedan. The M2 mounted just fine and the GPS antenna has double-sided tape that allowed me to mount it on the inside of the front windshield. The rear camera I mounted on the rear windshield at its highest point. I opted to use the hardwired harness kit so that I can take advantage of its sentry mode. If you’re skilled at DIY stuff for your car, it’s an easy install. Otherwise, you may find it best to find a local installer who can do this for you and make things nice and neat. Camera setup was also very simple. Using the touchscreen, there is a main menu that allows you to choose loop cycle times (ie, you only want to record 1, 2 or 3 min segments), video quality and shock sensitivity. Yes, in the event that you encounter an accident, the current video being recorded will be locked and protected. That means everything else being recorded will be eventually overwritten based on the amount of space you have on your microSD card (not included). As I mentioned above, I opted for the hardwire kit so I can take advantage of the camera’s sentry system, or what they call the Parking Mode and Collision Detection. Basically, if the car feels any type of movement (say from a car bumping into your parked car), the camera will turn on and start recording for 30 seconds, then turn off to preserve the car battery. The recordings are locked and saved into a dedicated folder. Finally, there is Rexing’s Advanced Driver Assist System, blindspot detection and rear collision warning. In most modern cars today, you will have these things standard. But for those with other generation vehicles, these features can come in handy. Although…I do feel like it does need some work. – PERFORMANCE – Not a surprise, the Rexing M2 does provide dual channel recording all while acting as a rear view mirror via camera with a live feed of what’s happening on your rear. The cameras can be toggled to show the rear, front or front and rear. Now I didn’t really understand what or why we need a front view or dual view other than just seeing what the recordings will look like. Since the cameras themselves offer a wide field of view, you won’t be able to see all of that camera on the touchscreen, but you’ll be able to pan up and down to adjust your view. Think of it like adjusting your rear view mirror, manually. The other thing you’ll be able to do is change the brightness. Now during the day, I do have it at 100%, but when the night falls, I have to dial it down because it is pretty bright! I wish the unit had a sensor to auto dim the brightness, much like our smartphones. Access to recordings is easy, and the reality is that you should only play with it enough just to get familiar with how to access them. Because once you’re up and running, you’re not really thinking about your files day in and day out unless you encounter something on the road. If you do see something interesting and want to lock the recording, there’s a quick button on the bottom that allows you to lock your recording. Similarly, you can take a quick picture with another button situated at the bottom of the screen. I guess you would think of them as the home screen buttons. Recordings at 4K are very impressive, but are only featured in the front facing camera; the rear facing camera will record in 1080p. These settings can change depending on if you decide to use Rexing’s ADAS, RCW or Blind Spot detection features. It kicks down the resolution to 2K. If you’re not touching the screen at all, then all home screen buttons go away and the only thing that can show up (if you so choose to do so) is the today’s date and time, and your current mph. – GOTCHAS — As I mentioned earlier, the M2 doubles as a standard rear view mirror when the screen is turned off. So the main problem with that is while the screen is on, you will still see a reflection of what would typically be your rear view blended into current live feed. So think of how annoying a TV with high reflection could be…that’s the Rexing M2 Max. So what I have to do to mitigate that is point the mirror up as much as possible to get a reflection of the roof rather than my actual rear glass. This seems to work well at the moment, but how cool would it be to have it on the ready, pointed at my rear glass so I can easily toggle the screen on and off without having to adjust the mirror position. Second gotcha (at least for me in my Civic) is that when the rear camera is mounted INSIDE my car, the camera itself is also picking up a reflection of my car’s interior, and that being the rear speakers. So what I really get to see all the time while I use the M2 is the view of what’s happening behind me, and my rear speaker grilles. It’s a little annoying to be honest, and it’s really no fault of Rexing, but just keep in mind that this could happen if you don’t mount it outside your car. A lot of our cars come equipped with rear view cameras standard, and adding another one might seem a bit excessive. – CONCLUSION – Overall, I am happy with the Rexing M2 Max, and I plan to have it going for as long as I own my car. With the way things are going nowadays on the road, it’s always a good idea to cover your you know what in the event that you get into a fender bender or the like. And if you’re like me, you probably want to keep things looking simple in your car’s interior, this is not a bad way to do it.

I recently purchased the Rexing M2 Max Pro 4K WiFi GPS Mirror Dash Cam, and after using it for a few weeks, I am impressed with its performance and features. The sleek and modern design fits seamlessly over my existing rearview mirror without feeling bulky or out of place. It’s built with high-quality materials, and the installation process was straightforward, thanks to the instructions. The 4K resolution on the front camera is clear, capturing sharp and detailed video even in low-light. The rear camera also performs well, providing crisp footage and excellent coverage with its wide-angle lens, ensuring there are no blind spots. One of my favorite features is the WiFi connectivity, which allows me to download footage directly to my smartphone without needing to remove the SD card. The built-in GPS is another highlight, accurately tracking location and speed and integrating seamlessly with the video files. The large touchscreen display is responsive and easy to navigate, doubling as a real-time rearview display, which has been especially helpful for parking and reversing. Additional features like parking mode, loop recording, and the G-sensor enhance its functionality. Parking mode automatically records if motion is detected while the car is parked, loop recording ensures continuous footage without storage concerns, and the G-sensor locks and protects important files during sudden impacts. While the overall performance is excellent, there are minor areas for improvement. The rear camera’s resolution, while good, doesn’t quite match the clarity of the front camera. Additionally, the reflective surface of the mirror can appear slightly dim in bright sunlight, though this is a minor inconvenience. Overall, the Rexing M2 Max Pro is a feature-rich, reliable dash cam that offers superior video quality, advanced functionality, and a sleek design. It’s a great investment for anyone looking to enhance road safety with a multifunctional mirror dash cam. I highly recommend it for drivers seeking a dependable and easy-to-use device. I give it 4.5 stars!!

My first dash cam. I chose this because it's packed with features for a good price, is rock-solid while driving, is located out of the way, and is easy to install. It works very well, recording what's happening all around the car. The display (which overlaps my rearview mirror) is easy to manage. It isn't bright enough in sunlight, but that's fine because I don't generally need it during the day. Even when turned on, it functions well as a reflective rear-view mirror. The rear cam gives an excellent view all the way into blind spots, and the blind spot traffic warnings are helpful. I have no trouble shifting my gaze between what's on the screen and what's being reflected from behind me. My only two complaints: First, forward collision alerts are given in the form of a voice which I can't understand at all, and the manual doesn't tell me what the voice is saying. Second, the backup camera mode works but draws green, yellow, and red lines in the wrong place. When it says I'm on top of something, there's actually a lot of room between the back of my car and that. I can't find a remedy for that. No problem - it's far better than having nothing and is better thought of as a substitute rear-view mirror.

I'll start with I have dash cams in all four of my family's vehicles and they are all various models from Rexing. I bought this specific model because our van doesn't have a rear view mirror. I'm fine with that but when others drive they miss the rear view mirror view. I'd hoped this screen/camera setup would help those drivers looking for a view of what is directly behind the van. The setup would likely work because the video is clear and can be on all the time, except the options for mounting the screen assume their is a rear view mirror present. In my case I don't have a rear view mirror in place to hang this screen on. All my other Rexing dash cams have small screens that work 'ok' for video review if you're parked and holding the dash cam in your hand, but you wouldn't look at those screens while driving for any useful info, they're too small. this screen however is clear and easy to look at while driving. So far with this Rexing camera my SD memory card hasn't failed. I buy a new card whenever I purchase a dash cam (the one's recommended and high quality), however over time when I pull the SD card to look for a video, half of the videos are unreadable (annoying). So, the video is high quality, the rear camera works well for backing up imagery, the touch screen allows adjusting while driving, the SD card is lasting after three months of use. My only issue is the lack of mounting options if your vehicle doesn't already have a rear view mirror.

I've had quite a few dashcams in my time but this one takes the cake in terms of size/clarity. I started out with the teeny ones and then upgraded to a 360 cam with rear view camera. This one looked quite interesting in that it doesn't take up any additional real estate on your windshield and offers 4k video. The kit comes with everything you need to get setup, including hardwire cable which is really nice. There is an option for always-on so whenever you park your car, the camera is on to catch any thieves or people who loving bump your ride. I have mine setup for auto-on so whenever I turn on my truck, the camera systems turns on which is quite convenient. I have a 2012 F150 and the mirror on that is a bit chunkier than most. As such, this camera was a bit difficult to get on. However, there are additional rubber straps that are included with the kit so those worked out quite well. This dashcam attaches by looping two rubber bands, basically, over your existing rear view mirror. It's also nice in the event the camera doesn't work or something so you can easily remove it. It doesn't like up perfectly center since the front facing camera is on the left side of the unit. Not a huge thing but would've been nice to have everything lined up neatly. The display on this large and bright so it's really nice feature of this dashcam. It's touchscreen so it's fairly easy to manage and use without getting lost in the settings menu. The video recordings are super crisp and look great. Never thought having 4k resolution videos in a dashcam would be needed but, now that I have it, it looks fantastic. Only issue I'm having now is trying to hook up the included rear camera. I have a full size F150 so I'm trying to find a way to get the wire from the cabin to the rear plate where the camera hooks up to. That will take some time but, all in all, this is a great camera setup.

Included- M2 Max Pro, rear camera, Hardware kit, GPS logger, power cable, quick start guide, warning sticker (Not included - a memory card) Set-up/Installation- The very first you need to do is get a memory card and insert that into the slot, then format it. Take the dash cam and strap it to your rearview mirror, using the rubber mounting straps and then adjust the angle to suit you. Next, mount the rear camera in the back of your vehicle. It can be placed inside the vehicle or outside near the license plate, Also, it can be hardwired into the reverse light or plugged in with a 12v accessory socket or cigarette lighter. The device will automatically power on when it's plugged in. If you need to manually power on, hold down the power button for 3 seconds. The dash cam will automatically start recording when turned on. There are so many great features about the Rexing M2 Max Pro. The large 12" touch display makes it easy to operate the dash cam. There is comprehensive coverage with dual cameras capturing in front of the vehicle and behind simultaneously in 4K. You are able to stream your surroundings in real time to help improve safety. It offers advanced driver assistance which includes lane departure warnings, front collision warnings, hazard detection, blind spot detection, and rear collision warning. The GPS logger tracks and records your exact whereabouts, the route and even exact speeds. The recordings are easy to manage. You can download recordings to your smartphone via the Rexing Connect app. There is a sensor that automatically locks recordings upon impact so that they are not overwritten. I wish I would have had this installed in my car last fall. I was involved in a minor accident in a parking lot. Both my vehicle and the other one were both moving at the same time so it should have been a 50/50 responsibility but the other party totally lied and said they weren't backing up. The result was that I got pinned for the whole thing which is not right. I truly believe the Rexing M2 Max Pro Dash cam would have helped support my case that the other party lied and they were at fault just as much as I was. The Rexing - M2 Max Pro 4K WiFi GPS Mirror Dash Cam will give you a small peace of mind that you are more protected on the roads.

I highly recommend this dash cam! It's been a real game-changer for me (since I started using Rexing products), especially in today's world where reckless driving, speeding, and fraudulent accidents are all too common. This dash cam accepts memory cards with a maximum capacity of 256 GB (for reliable operation, use a class 10 memory card with a capacity of at least 32 GB). The memory card is NOT included! Very good resolution, the smart mirror looks really good in my car and I love its features. You could connect the rear camera to the reversing light for enabling the parking assist functionality (which I didn’t because my car already has that). I’m using the in-car power cable (included) for plugging the dash cam to the 12V cigarette lighter socket; there is another option, it comes with a Type-C smart hardwire kit, if you prefer this, it will allow you to enable the parking monitor feature (parking surveillance mode). It also comes with a GPS module for GPS logging. It has a modern design, the mirror could be smaller but it’s ok, I like it.

The Rexing M2 Max Pro is an excellent dash cam that combines advanced features with ease of use, making it a standout choice for enhancing road safety. The 4K front and 1080p rear cameras deliver sharp, detailed footage, even in low light, and the wide-angle lenses provide impressive road coverage. The built-in GPS and Wi-Fi make it easy to log trips, review footage, and share videos through the app, while the G-sensor and parking monitor ensure reliable protection. The compact design fits neatly behind the rearview mirror, and installation is straightforward.

I looked and looked for a good rear view mirror that doubled as a forward and rear view dashcam. This one was on sale and at the sale price, was a fantastic bargain. I've used it for about a month now and it works great. I did read the reviews by others that the back camera doesn't have the best visibility at night with car headlights causing too much glare. I can concur with these reviewers and would hope that there's a fix for this (auto-dimming feature, perhaps?) Anyway, that's my only gripe. The clarity is outstanding and the day video from the back camera is fantastic, the glare just becomes an issue at night. I would highly recommend this product to others.

This is the third Rexing dashcam I've owned, and it's great to see them continually improving their already strong line of products. I installed this dashcam in an older vehicle that didn't have a reverse/backup camera, so I appreciated the value of being able to get both dashcam and backup camera functionality from the same unit. I also like that this model is integrated into the mirror as it makes the setup less bulky. As with the other Rexing cameras I've had, video quality is crisp and clear - the 4K is noticeable, and the rear camera performs well too. I like that there's GPS tracking too, because it confirms speed and location if or when you need to review footage. Overall, I highly recommend this dashcam, or others in the Rexing line depending on what your needs are.

Imagine my delight when I found Best Buy's M2 Max Pro 4K WiFi GPS Mirror Dash Cam which allows me to back-up my old 2009 Jaguar XJ ! I'm so happy with the camera and the wonderful job that Angel and colleagues at Best Buy did to install it. Kudos to the manufacturer, the vendor and the installation TEAM!! Best wishes, Naji

The rear view mirror screen is very nice. It’s a great size without being to big or small. The screen quality itself is clear and all the settings and controls are intuitive. Very easy to setup and use. I like how when it turns on the screen defaults to the rear view camera so it works like a rear view camera mirror and not just a dashcam. Lots of new cars use a rear camera as there mirror footage so this definitely makes the car feel more modern. Dashcam footage is clear and has GPS information with it which was surprising to me, that’s a plus. Comes with the hardwire plug so it doesn’t need anything out the box except a SD Card. Overall happy with it and great if you want to add something similar to a backup camera without replacing your stereo. I got it so I had a dashcam that didn’t have to stick to my windshield, this is great for that.

This may be the best offering on the market right now, for a really nice, feature packed dash cam. To start off with, it straps over top of your current mirror, so no modifications or removal of the existing mirror, is required. The install was straightforward, and the only major time consumer is getting the camera wired to the back of the car, which could involve removing panels, etc. The wiring harnesses are AWESOME, and super easy to install for the new mini type fuses, just plug in and secure the wire, run it to the camera in the headliner, and fire it up! I haven't used all of the features yet, after a couple days of having it, but this dash cam is feature packed and definitely the best thing on the market right now. For the features included, I would expect to pay more. I have used other products from this same manufacturer, and they make solid/reliable equipment. Thanks REXING!!!

Rexxing front and rear view review

I’ve been using this Rexxing dash cam with the rear view camera for a little while now, and overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase. The camera quality is solid, and the rear view display doubles nicely as a mirror. I really like how easy it is to turn the display on and off, especially when I want to quickly save a clip of something that happens on the road. The rear view camera itself gives a good picture, but one downside is that it isn’t wide-angle or fisheye. This makes it harder to judge distance when backing into a spot, since you can’t always tell exactly how close you are to objects behind you. At night, headlights from cars behind can cause some glare, which makes it tough to see the vehicles clearly—mostly just their lights. That said, the overall functionality, ease of use, and peace of mind this product provides make it worth the investment. It does what I need it to do, and I’ve been happy with it so far.

Great camera with high resolution, simple install

Overall this camera is really awesome. Mirror is non-reflective so you couldn’t use it to see the kids in the back seats like you used to. If you don’t need to look at the seats this wouldn’t be an issue. Installation was simple on my Super Duty. Not as easy to install on a Silverado. I hard wired the system into the trucks and I didn’t use the provided cigarette adapter for the power. The only issue I do have with this is the time. Adjusting and setting the time is terrible and should be simple. It not. The picture is great and a little darker on the rear view. Likely because the resolution is different. Doesn’t bother though. I’d recommend this dash cam.

Definitely a good investment to have. Easy to install without hardwiring. Could be better if it recorded higher than 3 mins before starting a new recording. Could be better if you could delete pics and videos all together instead of one at a time. Wish the wires weren’t so long cause I go through a lot of vehicles and don’t want to hardwire it everytime but I make the long wires work
