Rexing acknowledges receipt of the query from Best Buy but has not responded in a month. I cannot recommend Rexing a company based on their failure to support the product.

However, the plug constantly lost its secure seating in the cigarette lighter in a way that would cause it to turn off and on multiple times per trip. This kit allowed me to hard wire it in and now I never have to worry about it. It's also a much cleaner installation now that the wires are concealed. I'm not using any of the motion sensor features so I can't comment on those. Price was pretty reasonable too!

Sensor doesn’t work for all models

Camera froze white the day after but I unplugged it and worked to see playback or menu you need to turn off recording. Also go to brand site and watch videos for different needs.

Posted .HI! This may be due to a defective motion detection box. You should also make sure that parking monitor is set to off when using the intelligent hardwire kit.

Gets triggered with something as simple as the tree branches blowing around. Turns on for everything dont recomend at all. Just get the OBD hard wire. Its simple cheaper and better.

Posted .Hi! The Intelligent hardwire kit allows your device to use the parking mode feature. If the vehicle is off and your kit detects motion or vibrations from a collision, it will turn the device on and record the incident. Extra layer of protection!
