Great Beginer Dash Cam!

I am obviously still trying this thing out. For the price I say it's a good deal. I got it on sale at $80, I was expecting to get a model around $250 so this one is good for the price. My mistake was to use only the 32GB card included and should have bought the 128GB because I ran out of memory halfway through my vacation driving. Oh, well. It recorded as expected so I'm happy with it.

exing’s $100 V1 dash cam takes very good day video, decent night video, and is easy to set up and use. We like it. But it’s bare-bones: Adding GPS, which we recommend, costs an additional $30. If you have room in your budget, for $170 you could step up to Rexing’s dual-channel, dual-camera V1LG with integrated GPS, or go to our full list of up on dash cam reviews for more options.

Since getting into an accident without any witnesses, I definitely regretted not owning one. This is worth owning. Clear and crisp video. Buy the 128 sim card. Only wished auto manufacturers would just build and offer a built in dash cam as an option.

It is a really good dashcam but the glare from my window makes it hard to see things on the cam. It has 1080p was insanely easy to install. You do have to figure out the setting though like the exposure needs to be changed for night and day. But an all around good cam for the price.

Its the best camera we owned so far. We purchased it on sale, value even better. The only reason I gave four stars its because few times it doesn't turn on by itself and we have to manually turn it on. Otherwise, it does the work, much clearer and better quality.

I purchased a new vechicle and and finally decided to purchases a dash cam. When looking at them this was the best deal that provided everything necessary. The cord was long enough to run it in any vechicle and blends in well. Great purchase would recommend to anyone.

This Dash Cam is the best camera in my group of Dash Cams. Excellent image quality in day or night conditions. If I had to pick one fault, I would say it's just a little large compared to many of the other cams on the market.

Resets with GM vehicles.

This is the battery version, I have 2 of them. First one lasted about 1.5 years and this one lasted about 10 months. I have a GM vehicle with auto shutoff and cam will reset every time engine comes back on. I think this happens because battery is dead, I’ve charged per instructions with power off but will only last a second when power is removed. I have cam hardwired to fuse so I think when engine cranks, it momentarily loses 12 volts then restarts. Tried my older cam from other vehicle and it does same thing, that’s when I noticed battery on that one is dead as well. I just never noticed on car since it don’t auto shutoff. The buttons on my newer one also started to flicker which didn’t look normal. I sent to Rexing to evaluate since it was still under warranty.
Rexting suggested doing a firmware update which I did but didn’t help, flickering and reset problem still persists.
Now I bought one with super capacitor and restart problem has gone away but now I have 2 other ones with dead batteries. Only if batteries were easy to replace, but they are not very user friendly.
I like these Rexing V1’s due to its how it mounts and blends in with contour of window but if you have a vehicle with auto shutoff, super cap may be the way to go. Only time will tell though since I’ve only had cap version for a week.
I also just got rear ended while at a red light. I had footage of that, so I thought. When I tried to retrieve, out of all the videos in SIM card, the one I needed was the only corrupt file so I couldn’t view. I tried the online repair tools which seemed to fix file but I had to pay to download, which I refused to do. I reached out to Rexing who fixed for me. I’m thinking maybe it was the G-switch feature that corrupted it. Not sure if this is expected with that feature, i mean, I did save the video, just couldn’t view it.

The kit as a whole was convenient, though not necessarily cheaper than buying everything on its own. It did however, come with two windshield mounting plates, so that allowed me to use the hardwire in my everyday car and use the the regular cigarette connection it also came with, to use in my other car that has a concealed cigarette connection that allows me to make a clean connection with it to.
The quality of the video is good, and should be more than clear enough to use if you ever find the need to. I had to update the firmware to get the "parking mode" aspect, but that was easy enough, and their website walks you through it.
Overall, it's value is great and the options to add a rear cam and GPS to it adds to its usability.

I bought this as a upgrade to my previous dash cam. This one is easy to set up and use. I recommend buying the model that will link to the app in your phone.
