Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this dash camera 2 years ago About 4 months ago the back camera stopped working, checked all cables and everything looks fine but the back camera still not working Not very stable, sometimes it just stops recording for no reason I programmed it to loop recording so it can deletes old recordings but it still not deleting anything and then get full, I have to delete the videos from my computer It has wifi to connect to the phone through the app but that connection is not reliable at all, it keeps disconnecting, hard to contact, and not user friendly If I know all these issues I wouldn’t buy it in the first place

However, the settings menu is confusing with no documentation on what the menu options actually do. For example, in the "G Sensor" settings, what does "Low", "Medium", and "High" mean? Does "High" mean a high sensitivity to motion that will cause the camera to start recording? So "High" will record the most often (vs. "Low") since more sensitive to motion. Or does "High" mean it takes high amount of motion to cause it to record (i.e. it will record the least often)? I purchased the Rexing - Smart Hardwire Kit to go with this since I wanted the parking monitor functionality. However, after testing it out, I found it doesn't really work. It just records continuously, draining my car battery in the process.

Posted .Good morning, the options in the G-Sensor setting are to adjust the sensitivity. If on low, it will react to greater impacts, if on medium, slightly less greater of an impact and if on High, it will wake up to record if you shut the door, or the car is slightly bumped. If it's recording continuously, please go to the parking monitor setting and set it to G-Sensor. The make sure you have "auto power off" set to a desired time. Thank you.

Up $200.00 but i so much better in compared the cheap version.

My Third Rexing

I'm on my third because I have/had multiple cars in my household, and I have a dedicate camera for travel (one that can be suction cup mounted when I rent a U-Haul or car on business trips). This "Rexing - V1P Plus Front and Rear Camera Dash Cam" is a great setup because you also get a rear-facing camera. My only complaint-- and it's a minor one-- is that the rear camera records pretty bad video (VGA) and the mount for that camera is direct-application double-sided tape (as oppose to a mount with quick detach capabilities). I still would highly recommend this camera and-- even if you were to get a different brand-- get a dash cam. I'm a cautious driver but unfortunately recently had two accidents, and my dash cam footage made thousands of dollars in differences in the insurance claims.

Kind of dumb they dont include a fuse adapter so you can plug it right into the fuse box, so my port can be free, but its a pretty good cam so far
