When I noticed the camera would not keep the date and time info I reached out to Rexing. They have been poor in responding to my issue and keep trying to have me remove hardware and disconnect wires which I cannot perform. Rexing keeps telling me via email I must switch hardware after explain to them I am not able to work on any vehicles due to a permanent disability. Rexing is not a good company. Please do your research before buying any Rexing product because if you need support, GOOD LUCK. Not happening.

Posted .HI James! Thank you for your review! Our devices do not hold a charge because they all use supercapacitors that need constant power. It sounds like you may have a power issue, which does point to the hardwire kit.
If you are having issues, and reach out to our care team, we will have to troubleshoot and possible replace parts that are defective. In order to do this, and better assist our customers, we ask customers to try a variety of different things to ensure what we replace is where the issue is coming from.
Once we find where the issue is coming from we NEVER have issues in sending you replacements.

You can also see the rear on the screen, picture in picture. The only issue I'm having is getting it to connect with my phone. Still work on progress.

It worked the first day. Second day, would not start recording when starting the car. Tried the record button but that did not work. Tried the On/Off button; the unit went off and then back on but still did not start recording. Tried the record button again but nothing. Turned the car off and then back on again; that worked. Unfortunately, this series of events repeated each time I started the car over the next couple of days. Disconnecting the power cord from the unit and plugging it back in sometimes worked but not always. Called the company's customer support number but they are not there due to COVID (email only). However, since it was a Christmas gift for my daughter, I decided to return it and will try another brand.

Posted .The camera is made to automatically record when your engine starts. Recording issues are more related to a bad sd card that sometimes needs to be formatted. Please try turning off your Cellular network temporarily and then connect to the app. That allows for a smoother and uninterrupted connecting to the REXING CONNECT APP.

BUT it has now stopped working twice. I sent it in to Rexing and they replaced it with a brand new one. A few months later it stopped working again. Don't buy.

However, the camera was constantly in loop of turning on and off. I could not set up. I rest it, format the memory card on the PC, MAC and also in camera as described in the manual several times still the camera refused to function. Not able to go to settings, finally went to BestBuy in hope that the GeekSquad will help me but the guy there was also has no clue why the camera was behaving like that. he said that the camera is faulty, so I returned at the store. very disappointed.

Posted .HI, thank you for your review. This could have been due to a bad SD card or bad hardwire kit. You can always contact us directly for better troubleshooting and we can replace it with a brand new one if it is defective!
