Their customer service will lie to you. I sent my camera and four replacements back in the space of a year. Everyone of them had the same issue. I would not recommend anything they have to offer.

I have had to get two replacement rear cameras because the camera will loosen up and it's focus will shift, making it ineffective. They use a single screw in loose, cheap plastic which becomes loose after only a few days of driving. The front camera stops working when it gets hot. I don't understand why this camera cannot handle any lengthy period of heat/sunshine when it's meant to be installed on the front windshield. The camera's buttons are too small to be useful and they sometimes do not function at all. The settings get lost in the camera, as well, when it gets hot. I have requested a replacement unit TWICE and have yet to receive one. Do not waste your money on this trash.

I had it professionally installed even though I know I could've done it myself but I wanted the wires hidden as much as possible. The camera takes a little while to charge with the 12V charger in your car and you do need to have it connected to operate it but it has a backup of about 15 minutes if for some reason there is a power failure. There are impact sensors on the camera that can capture those moments when you need them most and that is what I love about this dashcam. I have never felt more prepared and am glad that I own this dashcam, It covers a really wide angle and comes with a 32GB memory card so you don't need to buy one yourself. An added bonus is that this version also has a rear camera to capture those moments when someone rear ends you. You do have to physically turn the camera on if you want to record the whole ride but it captures hours of video without hesitation. You can also view the footage on your camera itself or upload it to your laptop whatever is better for your needs. I highly recommend this camera and am considering buying one for my best friend who is always getting into accidents that he gets the blame for even though he claims is not his fault.

Aside from that, the install instructions are pitiful. The unit felt like and cheap, and the UI was very slow to respond. This is definitely not the qualities of a $170 dash cam in 2021.

Posted .HI, Thank you for your review. The device does record in 4K and you can see the full 4K footage when playing it back on a 4K screen like your PC or TV. If the UI was very slow, a firmware update could fix that issue. It could also be a slow SD card which causes the device to function slowly.

I had to have a warrant replacement within a week of the end of warranty, and also had another issue earlier on with the back camera cable where an entire replacement cam was sent when all that was needed was a cable. Going above and beyond. Thank you.
