Customers regard the V2 Front and Rear Camera Dash Cam highly for its video quality and ease of use, with many praising the clear image, even at night. The rear camera is also a popular feature, appreciated for its added convenience and safety benefits. However, some users experienced issues with the SD card compatibility. Overall, the positive feedback on image quality and user-friendliness outweighs the reported SD card problems.

Worst piece of equipment I’ve ever had purchased. Keep stating card errors and not easy to figure out on how it works. When you press buttons for settings it does not work if someone is listening please don’t purchase this piece of garbage so called one of the top ten best dash cameras because is not it could be the worst last ten instead.

I've never had a dash cam before, so I was a little unsure of how easy it would be to use. The instructions that came with it are very thorough and easy to understand. I had it installed in around 5 minutes, although my installation looks a little shabby. I used it for a few days when I noticed the microSSD was failing every time I hit record (it automatically starts recording when it turns on). I formatted the SSD, but it still wouldn't work. Turns out, I had a bad SSD (which was not new). I put another one in it, and haven't had any trouble since. I witnessed my first accident with it this morning. When I got to work, I connected to it with my phone through the app and downloaded the video of the incident. It looks crystal clear, although I didn't have a "great" view of what happened, it was incredible to know that it saw what I did. The videos are separated front and back and a new video starts every minute for each camera. I had no trouble finding the correct video to download this morning, as they are listed with a screenshot for each one in the app.

Setup is a breeze and you will be up and running within minutes of taking the V2 out of the box. Included is a suction cup mount or one with an adhesive mount to securely mount your Dash Cam to your windshield. The V2 has dual cameras, that will video in 1080P both in the car and outside, which is a cool feature, one that would really come in handy if you are an Uber or Lyft driver to record what’s happening inside your car (with sound) and outside. Its handy but don’t know what use I will get out of this. The main reason to get this is to record what’s happening outside in front of your vehicle and this does a fantastic job of it. If you don’t have a need to record the interior of your car you can even record in 2160P which is a stellar picture on the V2. Using the menu is a bit clunky and takes a little getting used to but once you do, using the V2 is a breeze. The V2 can detect if you have been in an accident with the built in G sensor and it will lock the video to make sure you can review later. There is also an optional GPS sensor (purchased separately) to use with the V2 so it will record where you are at all times. I would recommend getting an extreme or other heavy duty micro sd card to stand up to the harsh temperature conditions within a car. Overall, the V2 is a great choice and will fit your needs if you need a high quality dash cam.

This is a mid-level dash cam that includes a front and rear camera in the unit. While it doesn't have an internal GPS receiver, it does have a plugin for an external unit. You can set it to loop record up to 6 minutes at a time, and will automatically save a loop if there's a "hard stop" or collision. You can also manually save a recording for future reference. A severe duty micro-sd card is recommended to the extended write read/write cycle capability. You can also "pair" the camera to a phone to effectively have a rear camera, with the understanding that the rear camera is mounted on the front window and has a wide angle of view. This can be operated off the internal battery or plugged into a car jack. Given the price, quality, features and functionality of this unit I highly recommend it.

This is my first dash cam, and I'm happy with the REXING V2. As others have said, set up was easy, but do yourself a favor and read the enclosed booklet. It's loaded with excellent info and tips. The resolution is adjustable but 1080p is uber clear. The rear facing camera is handy for accident witness and keeping an eye on those in the backseat. A few tips, besides reading the manual, get a good Class 10 64 gig SD card. Class 10 will give you the speed needed for a clear picture. Also, let the unit charge for a few hours before adding a card and using. The only real downside is the antiquated USB used. Good luck. In a litigious society this could be your silent witness. Oh yeah, if you tend to sing while driving, remember the mic is HOT.

Nowadays you need a dash cam for every car you own, with all these traffic accidents and other things a dash cam is a very useful addition. I like this one has a front and back camera. It was pretty simple to install, the screen is a decent viewing size. Watching the footage over it came in pretty clear, storage is simple.

I am quite surprised at the video quality this device produces. Working with cameras and video professionally, I didn’t think this could stand up to my critique. This morning I had my first low light test and the picture quality was great! You can change the exposure settings too but I have it set to 0. Installation is a bit of a pain having to run the wire through my ceiling panel to the power adapter but it’s done. Otherwise the wire, which is quite long, will get in your way. I love that it has both the front and rear camera so I can see my problem dog in the backseat without turning my head around. I definitely would recommend this product for someone looking for a driving recording device.

Well, this did not start or end well. I had high hopes for the Rexing - V2 Dash Cam but it just did not work out that way. At first glance, it has nearly everything you would need – dual channel, direct Wi-Fi (to your phone,) accident auto detection, wide field of vision etc. So where did it go wrong? First the simple thing that should not go wrong. I could not get the suction mount to work. I’ve tried multiple times over the past two weeks and it falls off every time. I tried at different temperatures outside, I heated the windshield with the defroster, cleaned the windshield thoroughly – nothing was effective. The mount is just a cheap, poor design. It never ceases to amaze me when companies miss the small things. Not everyone wants to permanently mount dash cams and Rexing should have provided a much better mount - cell phone mounts or even EZ pass holders do a better job. Alright, putting aside mounting problems, I tried out the cam by holding figuring if I really liked it I would mount it. The field of vision was excellent and the night vision was pretty good. The rear-facing camera is really only for the interior of the car and it was adequate but not great. That was probably due to the low light conditions in the car. I had a brand new SanDisk 64 GB Ultra class 10 micro SD card so I popped it in the Rexing V2 Dash cam. After a few seconds, the device gives me an error message “memory error.” I take it out, shut the unit down and reinsert the card. Same error. I’ve had the card for a while and while it was never used I decided to buy a new one at Bestbuy. You are probably guessing what happened next. Same issue – “memory error.” Oddly, the unit shut off when I tried to get into the menus and I, frankly, had enough. I should be able to take a Rexing V2 out of the box, mount it and be ready to go. Additionally, if there is some compatibility issue with SanDisk memory cards then Rexing should verify the resellers stock the recommended cards. In this case, it looks like Rexing recommends Kingston on their website but Bestbuy does not sell Kingston micro SD cards. And you know what? Include a memory card with the dash cam and raise the price $20. It will save everyone headaches. After these issues , I start to look at the overall design and start to notice things could be better – the navigation of the menus, the size of the screen , the way the back of the dash cam connects to the mount . Even the little things like the way the power is connects at an awkward 90 degree angle facing up ( the wire now has to go up before it comes back down.) I know they did this for a permanent power set up but there should have been options. After this frustrating and disappointing experience, I cannot recommend this product. Frankly, just the poorly thought out cheap suction cup mount alone makes me second guess the overall quality of the Rexing product.

Ok so now that the holidays are behind us, I’ve finally been able to get around and trying out the Rexing V2 Dual Front and Rear Dashcam. At first glance (before opening the box) this thing is amazing. Upon opening the package, you will find the dashcam itself, suction cup, charging cable, usb cable, and user manual. Out of box this dashcam is not very user-friendly as far as installation. Even in the user manual on page 21 is tells you to go and look at installation video at video.rexingusa.com. I did manage to get it mounted via the suction cup and plugged it in. The charging cable is really long with for you to run the cable from the top of the windshield along the edge and down the side of the passenger side panel, under the back of the front passenger floor cabin area and up to the car charger port. The mounting was kind of tricky and not as easy as one would have liked. I powered it up and was very impressed with the amazing video quality. Full HD on both cameras or 4K on one camera. I drove around for a little bit to record some footage. It has a full wide 170-degree angle viewpoint. The menu took a bit to get used to with scrolling through the different features. And this thing has a lot of different features such as Wi-Fi Connect via the companion app (TimaCam) that can be downloaded to an iPhone or Android device, time & date stamp, auto collision detection, loop recording, and a slot for memory card, and auto-shut off. If you are like me then this may not be the right dashcam for you. I don’t really like anything up near my rearview mirror which is where this camera must be displayed for optimal view. I initially thought this was a dashcam that was mounted on the dash not the windshield. Overall it’s a decent dashcam, however there are a few things that you may want to think over before purchasing, such as better mounting options, and a more detailed user manual and it would be great for someone like me. Features and video quality are nice especially for potential accidents and/or proof of road rage.

Capture your drive and commutes with this Rexing dash cam. Always be ready to show what happened and protect yourself from liars, cons, and crooked police. It has dual Full HD cameras and 170-degree wide-angle lenses to record high-quality footage of the road and inside the car. This Rexing dash cam has Wi-Fi connectivity and secure recording technology to ensure footage is locked if you're in a collision. WHAT'S IN THE BOX Rexing V2 Dash Camera In-car power cable (12ft) 3M adhesive mount Suction cup mount USB cable User manual Optional Accessories Rexing Mini-USB Hardwire Kit Rexing GPS Logger for V2, V1 3rd Gen, and V1P 3rd Gen Pro: • Dual recording in cabin and front dash view of 170 degree FOV. Both audio and video are available and both can be turned off or on. It records dual channel (front and rear) in your choice of 720p and 1080p. In single channel front camera you get the options of 720p, 1080p, 1440p, and 2196p. • Great for drivers in the taxi or driving businesses because it can record both the road and the people in the car. Also good to capture your side of a traffic stop. • Day picture quality is very clear. Its crisp and smooth footage at any resolution from 720 to 4K. • Audio recording is clear and mics are sensitive without much distortion. I can hear my kids talking from the 3rd row seat. • Setup is a breeze. The hardest part is routing the cables if you want a professional setup. I was up and running in maybe 30mins after hiding my cabling. Cons: • Night footage is just good enough to show what happened. Quality is TERRIBLE if you need license plates or want to identify faces. I tried various resolutions and have come to the conclusion this sensor is very small and terrible in low light. • Wi-Fi "feature" is a beta test to me. TimaCam is buggy at best. You can do very basic things like view and download. It disconnect and fails too much for me to even consider this a "feature". • Does not include SD card for this model. At least 8GB is given for most things I have seen. • Lack of GPS for the size of the unit. This thing is HUGE! I just find it hard to believe they couldn't fit it in the dashcam. The GPS function is available for $30. A lot for the ask. This should be free or integrated in the board. • Bright blue LED lights that stay on all the time. There is no way to turn them off that I could find. I ended up using black electric tape to block it. Overall, I love this dashcam because I can view both front and passenger in high quality. Audio recording is clear and some of the funniest videos happen while we as a family are driving around town. This is an above average dash cam but value wise this is a nice package.

The Rexing V2 is unique as it offers a front and rear view for inside/outside capture of video as would benefit those with liability risks both inside and outside their vehicle while operating, such as ridesharing drivers or taxi operators. The Rexing v2 is well built, comes with good mounting gear for the windshield and car power adapter. A hard-wiring kit for permanent installation into the car’s power system is offered separately by Rexing. The cameras work independently but can record simultaneously in 1080p/30fps and store to a UHS-I microSD card. If y9ou opt to record from only one camera, 2160p (4K UHD) recording is supported at 24 FPS. I assume eventually the “unicorn” model will support dual 4K24/60, but simultaneous recording to media might be the bottleneck here. Video quality in my testing was good, stable, and color reproduction was good for a camera of this caliber and price range. Rexing is regularly lauded on dash cam forums and social communities as the camera of choice. The V2 seems to be the top-of-the-line choice, offering dual camera capabilities with no feature compromise.

This is a very advanced dashcam especially at this price point. You have a forward facing and rear facing camera in one unit which is very nice and eliminates the need to run wiring from the front of the vehicle to the rear. The camera does allow for a long list of settings but using the defaults was fine for me. I found the unit to be very well made and functionally does incorporate all the features needed. If you want GPS logging you do need to buy a separate unit which then plugs into a port on the main body. This is a better design I think because many people would want the dual camera feature but at a lower price point. If you want the GPS as I do, you can purchase the additional accessory which is at a very reasonable price. I was able to put the device through about 400 miles of testing so far and it is super. The videos were very sharp but I did use a higher resolution which I do think is important. You can also take photos with this dashcam as well. It has nice 5MP sensors and the 1920x1080 resolution works perfectly – you can easily read road signs etc. on playback, it also shows your mph speed. You get two videos labeled A and B for each time segment – one is the rear-facing and one is the front-facing camera. Any A/V player on a PC or on your phone will work. I did download the free Rexing GPS player that shows your front/rear videos and alongside those videos you see a Google map of the location that moves right along in sync with the video – how cool is that; you can download the GPS player here: https://www.rexingusa.com/support/product-support/v2/ I used a 32GB SD card but the unit will support up to a 128GB micro SD card. The 32GB card handled about 4 hours of recordings for me at the highest resolution. I did set my video clips to 3 minutes, you can vary this based on your preference. If you are new to dashcams, they typically record in a series of clips and will overlap an older clip if the SD card space runs out. This is smart so that you have the latest videos. However, if the unit senses a collision which is an important feature it has, then it will mark a clip so that it is locked and can’t be overwritten. There is a phone app called TimaCam, and once installed you can connect this wirelessly to the dashcam and set parameters and watch videos. It might be a little easier to use the app to alter settings but I preferred using the buttons on the dashcam itself. You do need to read the manual, it’s simple but the meaning of the symbols is important to understand. The package includes two mounting options, adhesive pad or suction cup mount. I recommend the adhesive pad so it can’t fall off the windshield if the suction cup eventually gives way. Also the unit can be removed from the part that stays on the windshield if needed, so I think the adhesive pad is best. I found this tidbit useful to me. I noticed Rexing has products that are using supercapacitors, although not in this dashcam. Supercapacitors are relatively new and have some advantages over rechargeable batteries. The fact Rexing is involved already with supercapacitors tells me they are a very forward-thinking company and that’s great. I did have a question and sent an email to Rexing support the day before Christmas and got an answer right away – so I give Rexing support high marks. Also the website is very professional and useful for getting stuff like new firmware or even info from a blog. I did load the newest firmware and it is easy to do, just load the firmware .bin-file to a clean SD card and plug it into the unit and turn on – automagically it puts the new firmware on. You do need to delete this .bin-file from the SD card or just reformat the card before you want to use it to record more videos. You can extend the warranty from 12 months to 18 months just by registering the device, so you do need to do that. I highly recommend this unit and love its functionality, and I must say it looks very sharp in my truck as well.

The cable was easy to run since I already had a V1 dashcam set up in my truck. I think this is a great upgrade since I have two cameras in one unit, one camera facing the front of my truck the other pointed at the rear window of my truck. I could not see a difference in video quality from the V1 to the V2, which isn’t a bad thing. A big plus is that the front and rear videos record separately so you can choose which camera footage you want to see. The V2 solved one the biggest issues I had with the V1 and that is the ability to download video from the dash cam to my phone without having to remove the sd card., Don’t get me wrong, it seems like a small issue but using your phone to wireless find the video file you want is a lot faster than remembering to take out the sd card, pop it in to my desktop and remember to bring the sd card back to my truck.

The camera works as advertised but I’m only giving it a rating of 3 because of the hardware that came with it. The mount isn’t great. It’s a typical suction mount and it hasn’t been sticking well. It also doesn’t swivel so it comes straight out from the mount. A dash mount would be better. The power cord provided takes up the power source and is long. A USB option would be handier and the manufacturer warns against using a different charger than what’s provided. The camera itself is good. It does the trick for forward and backward imagine. I like that it takes up to a 128K memory card. Overall, a descent product but the mounting and charging hardware could be better.

The Rexing V2 front and rear dash cam preforms pretty well for a dash cam. The video quality is great with the ideal lighting conditions. I noticed the night video was good enough to see what was going on, but not good enough to make out plates or ID someone. The day video was just about perfect, especially at the 2160p resolution. I don’t see a need for me to use the rear camera, my cargo work van has no rear window and I really don’t want video of me. I don’t see the rear camera as being very useful in my personal car either since you really don’t get a view of the outside. It would be perfect for the UBER/Lyft drivers though. Setting up the camera was pretty simple; the instructions are fairly clear and detailed. I did have to purchase a micro SD card, it can support up to 128GB. It comes with a suction mount, which was worthless, and I couldn’t get to hold it at all, and a 3M adhesive mount which did the trick. Just follow the instructions for the 3M tape and you will be good. The instructions clearly say not to use any charger other than what was included, and it would have been nice if the charger did have a USB slot for your phone. I recommend the hard wire kit (9.99 on bestbuy.com) so you can free up your car charger for something else. The menu interface does take some time getting used to and I recommend spending some time with it before you try to do anything on the fly or while driving. It will allow you to easily mute/unmute the mic or start/stop recording. All in all, it’s a decent dash cam that is big. I would prefer a smaller model with GPS built in, charger with a USB port, and a micro SD card included in the package.

I thought this would bring a cinematic experience to driving. It does record good quality front and rear video. I like that I can pair my iphone to get the video. Just not something I enjoyed sitting on my winshield. Maybe if it was integrated in the car it would be better but I just got bored of it quick and took it down. Driving video footage is not all that fun to watch.
