The sound is good stereo sound...can't tell if I'm getting surround, but I also didn't set up the Dolby Atmos because I was afraid that I couldn't return them if I do. My biggest issue is the mic which just didn't work reliably; in some games it was fine, but then it would just stop working. I plan to return the item and buy a different headset.

If the microphone is not working correctly, please try the following: 1) Remove the microphone. 2) Clean the connections on your headset and controller. 3) Reconnect the microphone. 4) Test on a mobile phone or different controller. It does its purpose and helps with playing games. However the headset is very flimsy, the wire on the headset is very thin, it has broken off by the headphone jack, and I need to adjust and move around the cable in order to be able to hear out of the headset again.

Please check where the mic plugs into the headset: There's a notch to help it stick in place. If the mic is in upside down, it won't click in all the way. Try halfway unplugging the mic, rotating it 180 degrees, and plugging it back in. In case you get the same results, please test your headset with a different device to isolate the cause of the issue.
