AMAZING sound!

Out of the box it comes with a code to download Dolby Atmos from the store. Once downloaded you listen to a preview of how the sound functions and immediately you’re emersed in surround sound to the point it gave me chills throughout my body you hear everything crystal clear. I’ve never heard such clear crisp sound out of a gaming headset. I made sure to have my TV muted and solely used the headset and be emersed. It’s very comfortable on the head. I like the fact that you flip up the mouthpiece when you want to mute it because I did it by habit anyway. I like how you can adjust the sound close to the controller where the jack goes into the controller so you don’t have to distract yourself while in game trying to reach somewhere else for the volume. Only cons I have is after a while the cushions on the headset made my ears begin to sweat. It’s a good thick cushion but definitely conceals heat. Also you have to pull out the headset to adjust it it’s a little weird but not enough to lose stars. Overall great headset becthe sound is great.

Didn’t last

But a couple days go by and the mic doesn’t stay in the muted position. Then we noticed that the Mic was defective. I guess it just matters on how much you mute you mics while gaming. If you do it often I wouldn’t recommend this because it wears down fast.

Not worth the price.

It is now the end of March and the headsets no longer work. Needless to say I will not purchase these again. But at least they lasted a little longer than the 1 month that the 400’s that I originally bought did.

We spent 30 minutes adjusting audio settings on the headset itself, in Xbox audio controls, and in the game itself. Couldn’t find a balance where he could hear footsteps without every sound echoing through his mic into party chat. Completely disappointed, absolute junk.

If you are having some audio issues with the microphone, you may want to switch to energy-saving mode on your Xbox. Press the Menu Button and then Settings, select power & startup, select power mode & startup and change power mode from Instant-on to Energy-Saving. An Awesome Gaming Experience
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had no idea what I was missing playing video games (especially first-person shooters), until I started using my RIG 500 Pro HX headset. While I have a surround sound system at home, the quality and precision of this headset is amazing. My home theater system doesn’t even support Atmos, which sounds awesome. Another reason I love this headset is that I can use them late at night without disturbing the rest of the family. Finally, the noise cancelling and in-line audio dial are great. The noise cancelling helps when there is commotion going on in the house, but I need to hear the action and ensure my teammates can understand me. The in-line volume dial is great, as it is easy to access when I need to turn the headset volume up or down. One last nice feature is that you can simply flip the mic up to mute it, making it easy to be absolutely sure you are on mute.

Well rounded but not amazing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After testing these for a few days, they are a pretty good set of headphones for your Xbox One. There are a few imperfections but overall they do a great job, especially with supported Atmos content. The headphones are of good quality. They do not feel cheap and they do not feel ultra premium, they tend to find a good middle ground here. The headphones have a mic boom, a cable that plugs right into the headphone jack on the controller. I like how the plug on the controller side has a small curve which makes it flush with the controller. The Volume knob is also on this side of the cable. I felt the headphones are a tad too small as with my adult noggin, I max out the space available and it doesn’t stretch anymore. If you have a large head this might be uncomfortable. The headphones come with a free voucher for the Dolby Atmos for headphones app for Xbox & Windows. The app itself allows Atmos support when using the headphones in the system (configure in the sound settings). It is also a great portal with some showcase videos, links to movies and games with Atmos support. There does not appear to be a huge variety of supported content but it was very interesting with what is available. I tried it with some of the demo videos, Pacific Rim and Gears of War 4. In testing, I found the audio to be a little muddy. There is plenty of bass but not much detail on any part of the spectrum. It is good for action movies and games though but I wouldn’t want to use them to listen to music. The Atmos feature creates a neat illusion of depth in front, behind and above you but it is nothing that will make you sit in awe as similar things have been done via headphone with EAX and other audio technologies in the past. In games, I barely noticed any of the surround as I was more into the game itself, in movies it is more obvious. The microphone works well and people on the other end said they heard me clear with no noise. These are a pretty good set of well rounded headphones, they are not groundbreaking but look cool, sound decent and put a lot of punch into your movies and games. A solid 4 out of 5. I would give it a 5 if out of five if there was more room for the head and better audio quality.

The head set went out and can’t return...

You would think buying a pretty high end headset I could exchange if something goes wrong with in 6 months at least. Don’t recommend unless I get a new one

Terrible headset

Don’t waste your money on these.
