DON’T BUY THIS!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are in the market for a gaming headset, avoid all products in the console gaming department and head for the computer department. Quality products abound for much less cheddar

Only looks good
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microphone not working less then a month later. My daughter thought she broke them so never told me and now too late to return. Severely disappointed, avoided an Amazon purchase so this wouldn’t happen.

Cheaply made and expensive
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not worth the money, connector part broke off inside controller after a week, didn't have time to return it and it remains in the bag I brought it home in. Very comfortable and great sound!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is comfortable and has great sound. The microphone is very clear. The detail of the spatial representation of the sounds is amazing. This makes you much more effective in the games you play. Unfortunately there are very few Dolby Atmos titles currently available and I do not have any to try. When I do I will post an update. I used the headset on an Xbox One X, Xbox One, PS4 and Windows 10 gaming laptop. It worked flawlessly on all devices. Very interesting considering it is labeled as an Xbox One device. Fortnite was the game of choice on the laptop. The sounds were slightly better than the same game on the PS4 and Xbox One X due to the great sound on the gaming laptop. Also, played Call of Duty WWII on the PS4 and Xbox One X. The gaming session was over 6 hours and there was no discomfort using the headset. It was very comfortable. You mute the microphone by tipping it up. I really like that feature. The build is plastic. Although I have no immediate concerns as the build quality is very good. I do wonder how long it will last being plastic. Only time will tell. I would recommend this headset. Especially since you can use it on PS4, Windows 10, and Xbox One.

Nice Headphones for Gaming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will preface my review by saying that I wish gaming product manufacturers would design for female gamers. This isn't to say that I'd like items that are pink with sparkles; just something not quite as masculine looking. That said, I do like these headphones. Out of the box, they looked a bit intimidating at first. When first trying them on, they were a bit big and boxy feeling. They have a unique feature for adjusting the fit - the earmuff pushes away from the headpiece and you can snap it into place on another setting (hole). It did provide more comfort, but they still felt huge on my head. I got used to it after a while, though. (I had my husband, also a gamer, try it on for comparison, and he found them very comfortable.) I had issues downloading the Dolby app and getting the app up and running. This led us to find issues with our Xbox One, unrelated to this product, so, unfortunately, I cannot give you a report on that. The headphones sound itself was good. It came with a collar already attached in order to provide a better fit to the controller (it also came with a similar collar for a PS4). With our headset adapter, though, we didn't need it. We also tried the unit with a PC and with a PS4 and found the headset worked well with those units in addition to the XB1. So, even though it's marketed for a certain gaming console, you can use it on multiple platforms. This is a good gaming headset choice.

WOW
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these to replace my turtle beach stealth 700 Bluetooth headset and I am very pleased with the change. The Dolby Atmos software is impressive! I've absolutely noticed quite a difference in sound quality. The sounds are much more crisp and there isnt any static or cutout since this set is wired. I'll never buy another wireless set again. Set up was super easy. It comes with a code for Atmos that you enter in the microsoft store on xbox or you can do it online. The headset has a detachable microphone so you dont have it hanging by your face if you're not using chat. volume dial is on the plug that goes into the controller. Very pleased with this purchase. Blows the quality of turtle beach out of the water!

Excellent value to experience Dolby Atmos
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you shop around, it can be very expensive to find a media speaker that supports Dolby Atmos. This makes the Plantronics Rig 500 Pro an excellent value to take advantage of this cool feature of the Xbox One X. The surround sound quality rivals headphones I have that are several hundred dollars more expensive. They are light, fit well and very comfortable. The cord securely connects directly to the Xbox One controller's mic port and the volume button is easy to access right at the mic connection. The mic boom can be easily raised to mute and is bendable, yet seems very sturdy. This is a very good investment if you are a serious gamer and play games where you can chat with other players.

Sounds good but unreliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought Jan. 15 and by April 7 the right side speaker stopped working. Didn’t damage them or do anything to cause this, I would recommend buying a geek squad warranty if you purchase

Stopped working after two weeks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The wire that connects to the controller has a short in it. You can’t replace it from anybody anywhere. Plantronics doesn’t even offer spare parts.

Great headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this headset is much better than my other one. The best part is that I can flip the microphone up, so I can be muted, believe me this comes in handy. The volume is phenomenal as well, the headphones can be very loud, for those that are hard of hearing. The only down fall is, that is doesn't block out outside sound, but turn it up loud enough and you can't hear anything else anyways beside the game. To adjust them to your head, is very easy, they don't fall off, and are meant to be a snug but comfortable fit.

Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, I bought these headphones recently and have been blown away by their quality. The product is light-weight and yet still feels very premium and expensive. The cords are well protected by the headset also, so you won't break them easily like most headphones do. The sound quality provides an amazing experience, and with the included Dolby Atmos subscription, it takes you away into the world of whatever you are listening to, and immerses the user entirely. The headset is also extremely comfy. The packaging was also neat and easy to unbox aswell. My only issue is that the end of the cord has a strange ramp on it that makes it so you can't plug it in to large devices, but you can remove it if you don't want it I believe, not 100% sure on that. The microphone is also crystal-clear, and sounds BEUTIFUL. I cannot advocate for life-span as I haven't had them for a long time, but I can advocate for quality. Overall, 5 stars, amazing for its price. Highly recommend.
