Good gaming headset, very light, good dual mode!

Good gaming headset, very light, good dual mode, not for larger heads. Quick guide is deficient, should have the information that green light is for while charging, and light turns off when done. Also quick guide makes no mention of using with the Nintendo Switch, but the product box does. To use with the Switch, have the selection on the USB C dongle set to "PC". The font on the labels for the devices in the Quick Guide is super tiny, and gray, really hard to read. So here is the list: Game Control Icon on the USB C dongle switch is for connection to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One. The PC Icon on the USB C dongle switch is for connection to PC, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch. It is unclear which setting Playstation 4 is used under, and I don't have one to test. The Dolby Atmos feature works well for Xbox Series X and Windows 11, which I tested it with. Install the Dolby Access app and connecting the USB C dongle/headset activates it, way easier than the older version of Dolby Atmos, which had to have a key entered off a card that came with the headsets. The sound is good for a gaming headset. The headset is very very light. The boom mic has noise cancellation, seems to work fine. It is of the flip up to mute, which I like, no button to find or remember. The sizing is done by pushing the ear cup into one of three slots on the band, been this way on RIG headsets for many years. But unless you have a very small head, you will be using the lowest slot, aka the biggest sizing on the headset. If you have a larger head size, this headset maybe too small for you. The benefit? Even fairly young kids can have this sized to be fairly snug on their noggins. Has a mode button, to select from: Bluetooth only (Bluetooth 5.1 by the way), USB Gaming mode (uses the USB C dongle) and Dual Mode, uses both at the same time. I tried Dual Mode hooked to my phone and was able to take a call, works just like when you have two devices hooked up to a traditional Bluetooth headset. The biggest benefit is of course taking calls or getting a notification sound while gaming so you aren't completely tuned out of the outside world while being immersed 99 percent of the time. The one thing I think is weird is the power button. It's colored red, which is fine, but it looks like it is a slide switch, but it isn't, its of the press down only variety. I recommend this headset for gaming, I probably won't be seeing it much anymore though, my wife has stolen it for her Switch.

      Hi Trish,
We apologize the RIG 600 PRO HX didn't work out for you. Nacon Customer Support is available to help with connection via email at [email protected] or via phone at 1-833-622-6687. The RIG 600 PRO Series has three connection modes - GAME, BLUETOOTH and DUAL. GAME is for connection to the USB wireless transmitter included with the headset. BLUETOOTH is for connection to iPhone, Android, undocked Nintendo Switch and other devices. And DUAL mode will connect to both the transmitter and Bluetooth although only one connection is available at a time. GAME or DUAL mode is required for connection to Xbox and the transmitter needs to be plugged into your Xbox with the switch set to the controller symbol for Xbox. The switch should be set to "USB" for all other devices. We hope this helps. Thank you for giving RIG gaming audio a try. nacon-fr

I am glad that I got the RIG-600 Pro HX Wireless headset, and you will be too. The best function of these headsets is the Bluetooth range. It is spectacular. I can walk all over my house, and it doesn't drop the connection. I can hear a little bit of distortion at the far reaches, but it still stays connected, and I do not have to go back to reconnect on my XBOX. This is great for when I want to step away and get something to eat while still hearing what is going on. The versatility is also another great function of these headsets. Being able to connect to XBOX, Playstation, PC, and phone (two at a time) makes it worth the price. I can be playing a game, and when someone calls, all I have to do is hit the button on the side, and it cuts off my game audio and only allows the audio from my call. When the call is over, I press the button to end the call, and it switches back to my game audio. You can use the same button to control starting/stopping music and activate your VOICE ASSISTANT. The headset is very light, and I can wear it for hours without it bothering me. It can handle most abuse. You can actually twist it, and it doesn't break. The sound is good but not great. It doesn't achieve the level of bass that I like. There is a very nice app you can download to adjust the sound. It has three profiles you can set up for Low, Mid and High. You can easily check for updates with the app, change voice prompt language, set the power off timer, and turn on volume level protection. Even with the bass turned up all the way, it is not the level that I want. The bass is there, and don't take this as it is horrible, but it just needs to be more for me. This is an outstanding headset, so pick one up. You won't regret it.

    Great headphones!

I really liked these headphones. They sound great and are packed with features! Inside the box, you get the headphones, 2.4 GHz wireless adaptor, USB-C to USB-A adaptor, and a USB-C charging cable. The ear muffs are not attached to the frame as there as 3 size choices. I have a big head and chose the largest setting. They were a little snug, but not uncomfortable. Once I took care of that, I charged it up and tested it out. These headphones are pretty much plug and play. Just pop the wireless adaptor in and they pretty much sync up automatically. These headphones have a dual wireless mode that allows you to stay connected to your game audio via the wireless adaptor, and answer calls from your phone via bluetooth. Once connecting to my PC, I had to download the Dolby Access app and activate the headphones for the 3D audio, which is pretty darn cool if you ask me. It really adds a new dimension! If you want to make adjustments to the sound dynamics, you can download their Navigator App. This allows you do customize the eq settings as you wish. I did not make any adjustments, but they are there should I wish. The mic works very well and is muted by simply flipping the mic up and stowing it. All in all, I really liked these. The sound quality, especially 3D, is very good. They are a little snug, but not enough to detract from anything. 5 stars.

Headsets can be fickle for gamers due to the long hours that we wear them. I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable these were after a nice long gaming session. These paired quickly with the system and I didn’t have an issue hearing anything in the menu. Now the meats and potatoes is how’s it handle in game! Wireless has always been a hit or miss with popping or crackling, but the RIG 600 Pro HX shine in this department. I tested Call of Duty and was amazed how they replicated the footsteps and minor details so accurately. This was a game changer and made me think these could have been easily a $300 headset for the quality they put out. Secondly, I tested these out in Diablo and put them through extensive discord chats on Xbox and PC. The clarity the mic delivered to the others was perfect. My friends didn’t hear me in a well or have grainy effect when I chatted. This was welcomed as heavy breathing and odd noises didn’t come through. Overall if you're looking to get a high quality headset that performs beyond its price tag get it! These are my new go to headset.

I trust this brand wholeheartedly for any device I own! They only improve with user in mind and I am here for it. These headphones are an improvement from the RIG's I already own with the idea of it being wireless and lighter. The headphones are half a pound, which makes them the lightest wireless headphones I've ever owned! Usually I expect wireless headphones to be heavier than wired because of the technology built in, but the material must have been redesigned and improved to not take up much space because they are actually lighter than some wired headphones I own. The ear cups are snap adjustable and go over the ear with a mesh cushion for ultimate comfort. The mic can flip to mute in a hide away design and goes well for storage purposes (they don't fold up). Sound quality is backed my Dolby Atmos providing 3D audio for a more immersive gaming experience. The Bluetooth dongle connectivity is good as long as there is no severe interference. I like that it comes with adapters to connect to any PC/console/phone. Not perfect, but perfect for me!

The Wireless Gaming Headset has Dolby Atmos features, and can be used with Xbox, a PC, Playstation, and Switch. When testing the headset out I using the PC. You have the capability to charge via USB-C charing port. The quality of sound is excellent when viewing playing games and provides an experience as though you are in a movie. While playing games, I liked the feature of the noise reduction. Meaning I was able to play the games without hearing background outside distrations. There is a mic and the ability to voice chat, and even a feature that provides an auto-mute feature. When selecting this type of headset, I would recommend looking at the measurements, as it was a bit snug on my ears. The cushions are comfortable, however, a little tight for myself. The battery life is pretty good. Pros: Affordable Sound is great Connects easy to the PC and the Switch Ability to flip to hide mic. Auto Mute Technology Cons: A little too snug for myself. The comfortability of the headset for myself was a bit tight. However, not a deal breaker for someone that it could be compatible for. I still would recommend this product.

This over all this is a pretty good gaming headset - First let's start of with what i like 1. Overall sound - the dolby atmos sound really good 2. The mic position is very comfortable and also the fact that it mute move it up 3. The over all comfort level was very good - I was able to wear the for 4+ hours with no fatigue The pads are comfortable and do not become hot 4. There no lang during most heavy gaming 5. The ability to connect to multiple devices in multi modes 6. The apps feature work very well to be able to teun to your system Thing I didn't like: 1. Set up on the PS5 was confusing - not so on the PC but it took some time to adjust and the instruction on not correct for set up - lots of trial and error 2. The sound on the other end in games sound "like your talking into can" 3.The sizing - if you have a large head it would not fit - I have a fairly small head and had to use the largest setting Overall they are very good and I will continue to use unless the players say something about the quality of the mic output.

This is the third RIG headset I have owned. I started with the RIG 800LX a few years ago after auditioning several other 'top tier' headset options. The things that attracted me to the 800LX years ago have continued to be improved upon through the RIG line-up. My biggest gripe about the 800LX and the later 800 Pro HX was the use of micro-USB charging. This has finally been changed to USB-C and is a very welcome, albeit, late update. Speaking of USB-C, the included dongle is now USB-C as well. This makes it a great choice for connecting to mobile gaming devices when you don't want to utilize bluetooth. It is important to note that you cannot listen to both bluetooth and USB audio at the same time, even in dual mode, but it does make it much faster to switch between devices. The first thing you'll notice about the RIG 600 Pro HX is its exceptional comfort. The lightweight design, plush breathable ear cushions, and padded headband ensure that you can wear this headset for hours on end without any discomfort or fatigue. The second thing you'll likely notice, is that these sound better than they really have any right to. I actually find myself using these to listen to music quite often. This is partially thanks to the ability to change the EQ using the RIG app. I made a custom setting for music and cinematic games and another for FPS games. The RIG 600 Pro HX wireless gaming headset is a standout product that excels in comfort, sound quality, and versatility. Whether you're a serious gamer, a multimedia enthusiast, or someone who values comfort during prolonged use, this headset has you covered. Its Bluetooth functionality makes it a well-rounded choice for both gaming and everyday audio needs. If you're looking for a headset that offers an exceptional overall experience, the RIG 600 Pro HX should be at the top of your list.

The RIG 600 Pro HX Wireless Gaming Headphones are one of the best experiences I have ever had. The setup is extremely simple. Once you unbox the gaming headphones, plug in the included USB-C dual wireless transmitter, the RIG 600 Pro HX Headphones will instantly pair with your favorite devices. No fuss no muss. Love it! The build quality is very good with a sturdy head band with foam cushion that is very comfortable to wear for long gaming sessions. The headphones also feature an adjustable speaker set that envelope your ears with soft cushions. The headphones come with a built-in boom microphone the simply slides out when needed and neatly tucks back into the left-hand speaker frame. Very nice design indeed. Once you have the headphones paired with your favorite device, you are in for a treat. Sound is where these bad boys shine. The Rig 600 Pro HX Headphones produce some of the deepest lows and rich mids and highs that I have heard in a long time from headphones. Very well balanced. Oh, I almost forgot, the RIG Pro 600 HX Wireless Headphones support Dolby Atmos Surround Sound. Once you have the headphones paired with your favorite device, your ears are in for a treat. If you are looking for high performance over the ear wireless headphone set that provides comfort and sound to match, look no further than the RIG 600 Pro HX Series Wireless Gaming Headphones.

I Love Rig Headsets, This is No Exception

First off, my whole family has been using Rig headsets for quite some time now. If nothing else, they just fit us better. The new Rog 600 Pro HX is the perfect addition to any avid gamers arsenal. Especially with the flexibility of the headset, since it is able to work on not just PC and Xbox, but PlayStation and Switch as well. We have made the mistake of getting a headset that isn't compatible with everything, and without fail as soon as we get it we will need it for a system on which it will not work. A staple of the Rig headsets is their boom mic. You pull it down to open it and turn it on, and push it up to mute it. This is the most convenient gaming setup I have seen, it makes it so quick and easy to stop broadcasting so that you can deal with something outside of the gaming. The other thing I love about Rig headsets, and this one is no exception, is the ability to increase and decrease not just the in-game audio and chat together, but you can do them separately. It's so nice to be able to keep your game audio consistent when you need to turn down the in-game chat due to an annoying teammate. These are an awesome headset, good for any gamer, and definitely a great gift.

I want to preface this review stating that from a console standpoint they are a 4. From a PC gaming standpoint they are a 3 at best. As far as PlayStation they are pretty plug and play same with PC. The toggle on the USB needs to be on USB not console/controller on the PlayStation (took me a minute to realize). The sound quality is decent. It has decent bass and surround sound while on PS5 as well as PC with atmos. They are very easy to use and setup and good for Console gaming. PC it is not so great. The app is interesting because you cannot update settings on the fly. The headset will disconnect from your audio to allow Bluetooth to work and change the setting then once setting is changed it will reengage with audio. Very interesting and kinda cumbersome when trying to update settings. My two main issues with the headset are: 1. The mic is horrible. It picks up everything around me rather than me. You can hear my keyboard and any hand movement. And also it sounds like I’m far away and or underwater. It’s really prevalent when I have the reference on and hear bad I sound. There is no filtering or any way to combat it other than to turn it down and make me sound further away from it. If they would have made it so the mic was a better boom it could help combat the issue. 2. The headset volume is pretty low. Like I’m at 100 and it feels like 75-80%. It feels like I need like extra volume to be immersed. I am unable to boost it higher. I am also using atmos and no atmos. This also happens a bit with PS5 as well. 3. More a YMMV issue the size are is a little small for me even on large setting so I get fatigued wearing them. Overall they are decent for console gaming but as far as PC I’m not too impressed.

    Dolby Atmos Sound=Great, Head-Fit Adjustment=Bad

These headphones are excellent in every way except the physical design of the very limited head-size adjustment to fit different size heads. Let me provide the excellent parts first. The sound was terrific and this included the bass which I found very powerful if you test with a source that is supplying a lot of bass content. I did also test the sound using YouTube videos which mimic some of the sound movement that Dolby Atmos reproduces in a wonderful blast of moving sound that games do also provide. I used a couple sets of headphones without the Dolby Atmos function and the difference was obvious. Dolby Atmos will be the future as it is so much better at providing surround sound with an immersion into the sound space where you ‘see’ the direction the sound is coming from - fantastic. I did test with gaming devices as well as PC and cell phone testing. Everything went smoothly whether I was using Bluetooth or the 2.4 GHZ dongle. These headphones talk back to you to say power on, power off, pairing etc. which is reassuring that all is well. These headphones also have call functions for cell phones. I can see where Dolby Atmos will give you a gaming edge since the sound seems to come from the correct/different directions and you are in the middle – great. Tip of the cap to the engineers for getting all these functions right. The mic works fine. It cannot move in three dimensional space but rather on a linear path up and down. Up will mute the mic. I feared that not having the ability to push the mic closer to your mouth might inhibit sensitivity but it did not - so the design works fine. The engineers came up with a unique way to store the mic almost invisible on the headset – nice job. There is a very helpful cell phone app for these headphones which you should install to control the functions including equalization. The app also allows you to test the sound balance and the mute/unmute feature. The design engineers got the earcups right as far as size and material to ensure the correct softness and coverage over your ears. However, the design of using only 3 possible slots to change the fit from small to medium to large was a disaster in my view. I found the headset either too tight or too loose. I’m at a loss as to why the engineers did such a fine job on the functionality which is great and didn’t design a continuous adjustment of the size to fit various heads. Within 20 minutes my head was aching. I will still recommend these headphones due to their outstanding sound and the innovative use of Dolby Atmos. However, I caution that you must try the headphones on in the store, before you purchase them.

The One headset for every gaming system and PC

Up until now, I have been using the RIG 800 HD, and it's been my go-to headset since working from home became a normal thing. The only thing that I had thought could improve it was a better way of stashing the microphone (since I had practically broken it off multiple times) and make it work for my Xbox Series S. Evidently, someone was listening, because I am now in possession of the absolute best gaming headset that works for every single place that I play video games. Xbox, PC, Switch, PS, and even my phone. Despite it saying so on the box, I wasn't really that jazzed when I first got it. For one, the comfortable "trampoline" style headband was changed to a layer of foam, and I didn't see a microphone arm (leaving me to think it was one of those deals where there's just a hole). Also, the easy to use power switch is now a power button that is difficult to find when it's on your head. I plugged the included dongle into my PC at first, because that's where I play most of my games. When it registered the sound output as an Xbox controller, I did a double take. That's when I looked closer at the dongle and found a toggle switch that turned it from normal USB mode (where the PC would properly recognize it as the RIG 600 Pro HX) to Xbox mode. You need to use Xbox mode for Xbox, and USB mode for everything else (though the PC can also output sound when connected via Xbox mode). The microphone arm hides away into the body of the left earcup. Engaging it to be usable is a two-step proposition in which you push the base of it in with your thumb to get the arm out a little bit, then you can swing it down the rest of the way with your fingers. This is a little tricky to do while it's on your head, and I end up clicking the "dual" mode (allowing you to mix two inputs, whatever is connected to the dongle and whatever is paired via Bluetooth) while trying to get leverage to push in the thumb bit. It's not that big a hassle, and I'm sure that with time I'll get used to it. The RIG 600 HX uses the same 3-notch custom fit system as the 800 HD, but is somehow smaller? I use the middle notches on my old headset, but the bottom notches on this new one. It's a good thing my head isn't going to get any bigger, knock on wood. I'm thankful for the USB type-C power connector. I can count on one hand the number of devices I use that are still micro-USB. Dolby Atmos is enabled through an app on the PC/Xbox. I listened to a few songs on Youtube that advertised themselves as having Dolby sound, though I was underwhelmed. Maybe I'm too sensitive to having sound "move" because I was actually starting to get a little dizzy with all the music sounding like the musicians were running circles around me while playing. Between having to keep the loud gaming sounds down at night so that my daughter and wife can sleep, and being able to watch movies at full blast (with surround sound thanks to Dolby) without the neighbors complaining that my bass is set too high, I'm really digging these cans, especially now that they work on Xbox and I don't have to drag my wired cans out and deal with the lousy sound that comes out of the Xbox controller. They're definitely staying at home, though, because they have a serious PC vibe to them. Definitely not streetwear.

I did not use these very long. 7 ganing hours total. The first thing I noticed is they are very light, which great. However, they feel very cheap. The adjustable sizing is nice but limited. I had to use mine with 1 set to medium and one set to large, so they sat crooked, which was slightly uncomfortable. The ANC is ok, more muffled than canceled. I'd say it's due to the foam of the earpieces being on the stiffer side. The volume is alright. I can max it out and have sensitive ears and wasn't impressed with the Dolby Audio at all. My Skullcandy with an aux cord sounds better. For $75 and under, maybe. Anything more and its not worth it.

      Hello,
We apologize the RIG 600 PRO didn't work out for you. Comfort and fit is a very subject aspect of headsets. Regarding ANC, the RIG 600 PRO series does not include an ANC feature. It does have a noise-canceling microphone, but just passive sound isolation when it comes to the speaker ear cups. And finally, regarding Dolby Atmos audio, please note that your content needs to be coded with Dolby Atmos in order to get the full spatial audio experience. Dolby Atmos will also down-rev, meaning that if your content is coded with Dolby 5.1 or 7.1 and not Atmos, it will deliver those versions of surround sound. Thank you for giving RIG gaming audio from Nacon a try. nacon-fr
