The speaker and mic quality are excellent with a little more bass than other headsets I’ve used in the past. The Dolby Atmos upgrade is actually very noticeable and completely changes the immersion in supported games, so I was surprised to find out that it’s not a gimmick. One very important feature that isn’t advertised is that it works with the XBox One, Series X, PS4, and Switch! I’ve personally used it daily with all four consoles and it works just fine except for the volume control. It’s disabled on the PS4 and Switch, but you can still quickly adjust the volume directly from the shortcuts menu when you hold down the home button. You have to move the selector on the USB dongle to XBOX to get to work on the XBox One and Series X, and select PC mode for PS4 and Switch. It’s nice and loud on the XBox and Switch, but fairly quiet on the PS4. That’s a PS4 issue though because that’s happened to every headset that I’ve tried. So overall this headset is a fantastic deal because it works extremely well on all the modern consoles.

The best of something tends to also be one of the most expensive options. So at half the cost of some of the most premium headphones out there, I was hesitant. But I read review after review and these kept popping up near the top. Plus I was getting these for the Xbox One X and wanted to experience Dolby Atmos, which these come with a code to unlock it on the Xbox. First game I played with these was Forza 7. I had been playing it already for about a month prior. As soon as I put these headphones on it was like an entirely new game and world. I could hear all sorts of things I wasn't able to before. I could hear the windshield wipers all of a sudden, the rain drops on the windshield just like in real life. I could hear when I drove over different surfaces like a metal grate. It just put me that much more into the game. I also played a little bit of Pubg with these and same thing, I could hear everything. Sounds are just so clear, it's amazing. These things are super comfortable too. Easily adjustable for a perfect fit and lightweight. Best part is that I can now game late at night when everyone else is sleeping and I don't have to worry about the sound being too loud and waking people up. Mic is good as far as I know. I've streamed a few times with these and haven't heard any complaints so I guess the mic works just fine. I do love the fact that all you have to do is put the mic in the up position and it instantly mutes it, can't really get much easier than that. Overall I highly recommend these. They make gaming so much better that it's one of the things I look most forward to in gaming, and a must for streaming. Even if I'm not streaming or alone in the house without worry of waking people up I still wear these.

The Rig 800LX by Plantronics for Xbox is the best mid ranged priced wireless headset on the market in my opinion. I've tested 3 other major brands (all were returned for a refund) along with these and Im happy to say I love this one. The good... These were the most comfortable pair. I do wear glasses and these dont give me any sort of headache. These were built for comfort. It feels pretty sturdy and they have soft breathable cloth/memory foam earcups not that fake leather stuff. The frame is light weight. The headset puts a support cloth head band between the frame and top of your head for more comfortable supprt. The sound is amazing especially with the free Dolby Atmos surround sound download. (Theres plenty of bass incase you were wondering). And it has 4 listening presets. Easy use dials for volume and chat/game play balance. The flip up mute for the boom mic is great. Up to 24 hr battery life on a single charge. Now the not so good. It doesnt come with Mic Monitoring enabled. So youre going to have to trust your speaking volume. And it charges through usb-b. I wish is was through usb-c. And thats it. Im really glad I purchased these. They dont disappoint.

This headset is amazing. It sounds great. My Clan mates and people I get into parties with say it sounds way better than the Astros or X07 I have been using. Really easy to connect, flip the mic up to mute and has controls to allow you to balance both ingame and party chat volume distribution to the headset. Battery life had been great while I am using it and the Price is really amazing. There are no cords, I mean none that connect to the headset. That means your controller is not tethered to your head in any way and the headset has nothing tying it to anything. You can however use this headset while it is plugged in and charging. I have not had to do this however because like I said battery has been amazing and I have done some all day session with the headset. The only drawback and I am not the only one to have this problem. There must have been a printing issue for the included Atmos activation card for the headset. My code said it had already been activated. When searching online it appears many people have been having this issue. Reach out ot Plantronics and Microsoft to get this fixed. It will be worth it. This is the only reason I dropped it from a full 5 stars.

This headset is amazing! Super lightweight and comfortable, 24 hour battery out last most wireless headset's and sound quality is better than turtle beaches. it also comes with a Dolby Atmos code for you're Xbox which usually you have to pay for but included in the box which enhances quality. Highly recommend if you don't want to spend money on Astros

For $150 you don’t get much these days. The head phones help me get more kills due to the great Atmos surround sound, but the Sound quality isn’t that great. The volume just doesn’t go very high and the bass sounds like bad... not sure how to lower bass. These are comfortable and I could wear them for long periods of time with no issues. They feel and look cheap AF .. overall would be great at $60 price range.

I have never experienced Dolby Atmos through a headset but can say that the difference it makes is nothing short of remarkable. This headset comes with a license key for Atmos across devices and the headset can be hooked up to either PC or Xbox. Not to be overshadowed by the sheer impressive sound, is this headset’s comfort factor. They are light but feel sturdy and the double headband really makes a headset you can wear for hours on end and not feel as if anything is on your head. Finally, the connectivity is completely stable. No drops, no gaps in sound, no random disconnections, and the battery lasted me for over 22 hours of straight game play on the XB1 (RDR2 had me like a crackhead...what can I say). Spend the extra money and go with this kit. You will not be disappointed.

I purchased this headset for Christmas for my son and it has not disappointed. It is very comfortable and it auto adjusts to the size of the wearer's head, whether it be the small head of my 4 year old daughter, the medium sized head of my 10 year old son or my extremely large 45 year old head. The ear cushions feel good and handle perspiration well. The sound is quite good, plenty of volume and depth, although certainly not audiophile grade. The wireless signal is crystal clear, no interference whatsoever. The chat works great, my son can hear his buddies just fine and they can hear him during Fortnite marathons. Unlike many other "wireless" Xbox One headsets, this one is truly wireless, no need to run a cable from the headset to the controller for chat. And finally, the battery life is very good. My son has rarely run the battery down, even though he usually forgets to charge the headset after using it. In summary, you cannot go wrong with this headset, particularly if its on sale. Buy with confidence!

I've tried Astro, HyperX, Logitech, and Turtle Beach. Some of them were just ok. Some of them were a nightmare. The Platronics RIG800LX SE is by far the best gaming headset I've ever owned. The sound quality is incredible. I can clearly hear from what direction people are coming from in games like Apex, and games with beautiful sound effects like Destiny 2 are represented so clearly (I even heard things I hadn't heard before like birds chirping or machines beeping). It's easy to adjust chat volume vs game volume. The headset is EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE with no need to adjust anything. I don't know how they did that but it's genius. The charge lasts forever. I go weeks without charging it. All my friends say that I sound great, and the ability to mute by moving the mic up is awesome (probably the only thing I liked about the Astros). If you're looking for a gaming headset that pairs extremely well with Xbox, you need to purchase this one. You'll be glad you did!

I can't add a whole lot to what everyone else has said, but most of it is true. They sound great, they are super comfy, the battery lasts forever and they can distort... Which I figured out how to avoid on my set. I have noticed that if I adjust the chat/game mix to all game, it distorts badly. If I keep it close to 50/50, it is perfectly fine. I do not have an issue with this as I think the 50/50 mix is good for gaming with friends. Also, they can distort at the highest volume when there is an explosion, but to have them at 100% volume would be crazy. For me, these get a lot louder than people have said they do. I had been rocking the TB Stealth 600's but didn't like how crappy the mic was for game chat, so I went with these. These are a step up for sure and are worth the extra $$. I do miss mic monitoring at times, but they do not block my voice a ton, so it hasn't been as big a deal as I thought it would be. Overall, the best Xbox headset I have used for sure!

After a year of use: Pros: Comfort & cool on the ears Crystal clear sound Dolby Atmos Mic clarity excellent No lag or distortion from 15 ft away Cons: Microphone wiring designed by an amateur. After a year of use, the mic cuts in and out because the wire gets pinched every time the mic swings to the on position. (Get the best buy warranty to cover this issue) Uses dongle, need to unplug it from the Xbox to use Dolby Atmos on a home theater. Can't use Dolby Atmos on both headset and home theater system at once. First time use, I had a hard time getting the headset to charge, had to fiddle with the micro-usb while plugged in to get it to charge. After that no problem charging.

I was a little skeptic about the Dolby Atmos advertised on the box at this price. These headphones aren’t the most expensive. Neither are they the cheapest. They are middle of the line, price wise, but the sound is superb!!! These are a must buy. You hear sound above, below, in front, behind, left of you, and to the right of you!!! Wow!!!!

So I’m very picky and I’ve been searching for the perfect headset and this is it for me, I’ve used a few in the past week. So comfortable! I wear glasses, have various ear piercings, and have a small head and they don’t hurt me or make me sore. The headset adjusts in two ways for head size and the earcups are so soft and comfortable. Sometimes you can’t just opt for a cheap $20 pair, these aren’t crazy expensive and they are most definitely worth it!

I bought these roughly 6 months ago. Giving them the time to make sure I rate them fair, absolutely 5 stars. Excellent sound quality, plenty of available adjustments for the sound and what you hear. Battery life is great and the Bluetooth range, well let me tell you. You can walk all over the house, go upstairs and throw in some laundry while you’re chatting it up wanna run down the hall in your dorm room yeah these bad boys won’t disconnect. Reasonably priced you get the quality you are looking for without dropping $400. So instead of having that guy on CoD sneak up behind you stop searching and get these, It’s a GO for me!

Purchased these to replace my second Turtle Beach Elite set (the $300 ones, headband on first set cracked, TB sent replacement under warranty but headband also cracked on those). The RIG is extremely comfortable and sounds great. Memory foam earcups don't heat up my head, and the band is very flexible. I've stepped on the set by accident more than a couple times, and there's no visible damage. Best of all, they're priced so I won't feel too terrible if I break them and need to buy a new set. Not as many sound modes as the TB, no active noise cancelling, but the memory foam does a pretty decent job of blocking out ambient noise.

The quality of these headphones far exceed their price. They’re extremely comfortable, great battery life, great sound with Dolby Atmos, and the controls are good. The only drawbacks, which is really just me nitpicking, are: No rotating ear cups, so resting them around your neck is a no go. Having to attach a dongle to your console. The connection still works fine but pairing like a controller would be better (like the Turtle Beaches). The controls are good but could be better. I prefer individual controls for game and chat volume, but this headset has one balancing control between the both. I feel like this gives you less control over how loud either channel gets. Overall though, they’re fantastic. There’s been no real weakness in them that I’ve noticed in a couple months of usage. I definitely recommend them over Turtle beaches and Astros.

Buy this. No ear cup pressure. All day comfort. All day battery. Recharge it while you sleep. Light weight, you will forget it's on your head. Amazing crisp clear sound.

This headset sounds as good (albeit with heavy bass) as my $200+ astros. They are really comfy/lightweight and have excellent battery life and range. Mic quality is better than most headsets out there, clear and crisp. But the mic will likely break. I've owned two pairs in the last 2 years and both have failed with the flip down mic connection. Flip mics are notorious for having connection issues on even the highest quality headsets for the exact reason you expect..the wires are bent at 90 degree angles every time you mute and unmute. But these are the best wireless for the money, sound and range in my opinion.
