Good Sound, Great Wireless Battery Life

I purchased this headset for Christmas for my son and it has not disappointed. It is very comfortable and it auto adjusts to the size of the wearer's head, whether it be the small head of my 4 year old daughter, the medium sized head of my 10 year old son or my extremely large 45 year old head. The ear cushions feel good and handle perspiration well. The sound is quite good, plenty of volume and depth, although certainly not audiophile grade. The wireless signal is crystal clear, no interference whatsoever. The chat works great, my son can hear his buddies just fine and they can hear him during Fortnite marathons. Unlike many other "wireless" Xbox One headsets, this one is truly wireless, no need to run a cable from the headset to the controller for chat. And finally, the battery life is very good. My son has rarely run the battery down, even though he usually forgets to charge the headset after using it. In summary, you cannot go wrong with this headset, particularly if its on sale. Buy with confidence!

These are simply incredible wireless headphones. I was very hesitant purchasing them and I am so very glad that I did. It blocks nearly all exterior sound and lets you truly hear the game that you are playing. Battery life is superb too and the mic quality is crystal clear! You just can't go wrong with this.

I had the wired headset and upgraded to the wireless...overall it’s a good headset with excellent battery life. The mic is a little in the way so you have to allow for it, but overall it’s a good not great headset. A little too expensive for the overall quality

Plantronics - RIG 800LX SE Wireless Headset Xbox

Best gaming wireless headset for Xbox One! I picked up the Xbox One X (Scorpio Edition) on release date and have a horrible time trying to link my headset I've been using since Xbox360. My previous headset was a $300 Steelseries Wireless H (renamed Siberia 800). Although stated as wireless, it's really not when it comes to Xbox. Audio to the headset is no issue, as the audio is connected via optical port with the Steelseries hub. However, I still have to run a 3.5mm jack from my headset to the controller for chat to work (meaning not a true wireless headset). The issue is, Xbox have no bluetooth integration similar to PS4, so using my headset is not a true wireless. Nor does Xbox have USB audio function. That means, your third-party mic will not work with Xbox One if using through USB. The problem with my Steelseries Wireless H (Siberia 800) for the Xbox headset is the 3.5mm jack itself. 1. When connecting the 3.5mm jack from my headset to the controller, the headset doesn't pick up right away. When in party chat, no mic is picked up. I have to constantly unplug, and replug the 3.5mm jack to the controller until the mic picks up. This needs to be done every time I boot up the Xbox. 2. The 3.5mm jack gets in the way. Sometimes I would accidentally unplug the wire from the headset or controller while playing games. Once unplug, issue number 1 as stated above happens again and you need unplug and plug constantly until the mic picks up again. And when communication is critical in a FPS team game, this will ensure you will lose. 3. Mic is very low. Not sure if the mic needs a patch, but my friends say that my mic is very low and that they can't hear me. It's like I'm very far from the mic. And being unable to hear me, I feel like I couldn't communicate with my team at all in critical FPS moments. After being fed up with the Steelseries Wireless H headset, I searched online for the best current Xbox headset and found the Plantronics RIG 800LX SE Wireless Headset. With so many mix reviews, I was debating between going with the Astro50, Steelseries Arctis, or the Plantronics. The Plantronics RIG 800LX SE won me over because it came with features that I liked. PROS: 1. This headset offers Dolby Atmos that other headsets do not. The headset comes with a code through Redeeming from the Xbox Store, and gives you a full sound experience. This gives you a quality sound and will be able to hear enemies footsteps all around you. Playing Black Ops 4 Blackout with my friends, I was able to hear footsteps, vehicles, and gun-fire before any of them. I was also able to pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from. What amazes me even more was being able to hear insects chirping in a section of the map that I never knew was there before. Great detail to surrounding sounds. 2. Finally! A true wireless headset. Unlike the Steelseries, this headset does not need a 3.5mm headset jack from the headset to the controller. This was a deal breaker for me. All that is needed is the little hub connected to one of your USB port on the Xbox One. Then you're set! That's it! It felt so weird not having a wire running from my headset to controller, that I get paranoid sometimes thinking I might rip the wire off like my Steelseries. 3. Very easy connection from headset to Xbox. I leave the USB attached to Xbox. Everytime I start up my Xbox, I also start up my headset. The headset will connect automatically to the Xbox and a voice will tell you it's linked. How convenient is that? The voice will also tell you upon turning on the headset, the power level of the headset, and if linked to Xbox. 4. The mic gives you the option of adjusting game volume to chat volume. If your friends through chat are too loud, you can adjust the knob wheel on the headset to game volume and vice versa. Very convenient feature when your friends have kids crying very loud in the background and you want to hear the in-game sound instead. 5. The price point is also a deal breaker. Picked this headset up during this Black Friday (2018) for $120 before taxes. I wasn't going to drop another $300 for Astro50 when my Steelseries ($300) fail to deliver. It was a great price point for quality that I just can't pass up. CONS: 1. Slightly lower overall volume compared to my Steelseries Wireless H. The max volume is not as loud, but don't get fooled. Plantronics is loud enough to hear surroundings. Just not as loud in comparison. But then again, you don't want to be deaf. 2. At times, but rarely, you can hear static on very loud game sounds. This isn't a deal breaker for me. It just means I have the mic on way too loud and need to lower it a bit. Shouldn't be listening to game this loud anyways. Overall, highly recommend this headset, especially if you can pick it up on a discount like Black Friday. You will not be disappointed. After reading mix reviews, I did add the additional 2-year protection from Geek Squad from Best Buy just in case. I've been using this headset for the last 2-days right out of the box on medium power level, and have not charged since then. Great power battery life as well. Highly recommend.

Works great easy to use, pair, and sounds great. My wired headsets always had static and poor connection at the controller. Now wireless and amazing sound and barely have to charge them. Very pleased. Son and I both have this headset and have had zero issues with either.

First off, the Headset is ridiculously easy to set up. Its basically charge, then plug, and play. SO set up was a breeze. The headset comes with Dolby Atmos card that needs to be redeemed. Im on the Xbox so this was also easy. After that, go to the set up in the Xbox, and check the Dolby ATmos box on headphones. Done. Headphones are comfortable, and light. In the Dolby access app there are test short videos set up to show off Dolby access. They range form a forest, to a snowy mountain, to a journey a leaf takes. All of them sound great on this headset unless there is something with deep base. Lighting crashing, does not sound good. Deep, Deep base in a song, does not sound great. If I could improve the headset, the base would be my only improvement. Everything else seems fine.

I’ve only had these a few weeks but the comfort level alone around my ears are phenomenal. I have a bit larger ears than most so other headsets after hours of smashing my ears to my head can get painful. These I do not have that issue with. Sounds are exceptional overall. Not listened to much music so not sure on the super bass level and as for the mic issues I’ve seen in other reviews only time will tell. I’ll update if this changes.

These WIRELESS headphones are great for beginners and novice players. The sound quality is really good and chat is excellent. The price is very reasonable, but if you can get them on sale for $119 ..that's a steal for this quality of headphones. Again True wireless headset.

I got this headset a few months ago and I have to say, this thing is great! the battery life is outstanding I can usually go a couple weeks with a single charge and I usually play a few hours a night and it always keeps charge. I really like how you can click the power switch and it will tell you the level of the battery left. The overall sound quality is unbeatable in my opinion. I had some turtle beach headphones before and they are not even in the same category with the quality of the noise and being able to tell where the sound is coming from not only if it is behind you but if its above or below, its mind blowing. The mic is great as well and when in xbox parties things come through clearly, you will have to mess with the mix for a bit to get it down correctly to how you like it but that is a preference thing and its really easy to get it how you like it. Overall a great product

Great Feel All Around, I Use it on my PC, Xbox, PS4, and Switch. For Switch since there is no USB Adapter sold by Plantronics for Switch it only lets you keep it in one Volume and us have to use the adapter set to PC, Same for PS4. However, lol Plantronics do make the Adapter for the PS4 which is Blue in the Back vs Green. If you can by one of those by itself like I did and buy a Sound Cable it will Work as if you bought the PS4 version of it. For PC just switch the Adapter button setting in the back of the adapter to PC. For Xbox Switch it back to Console. This one comes with the Green Adapter as it is for the Xbox One. Sound is Amazing specially with Dolby Atmos Active.

These headsets are nice. Bought them to try and resolve the issue of having Dolby Atmos on at all times with my TB headset. Issue is that if you have Dolby Atmos setup for your TV/HT on your XBOX1 you cant have a headset connected to your xbox at the same time. You have to unplug the headset from the xbox to enable it. Which means you cant charge your headset at the same time. I thought this was an issue with the TBs but the issue still persists with this headset. So if you are buying it for Dolby Atmos this is something to be aware of. I ended up returning them because of this. Other notes: Comfortable and light weight. Good sound quality Comes with Dolby Atmos but really didn't compare to a Home Theater Atmos setup. Did not seem like things were coming from above me. Only a few preset sound modes. None can be programmed

These headphones combined with Dolby Atmos( comes with code for DA) are a very solid gaming headset. I’ve owned the TB 800x and Astro A50 and these are right there at half the price. If you want a solid surround sound headset with out the ridiculous price for your X1 this is it. Also being completely wireless is always the way to go. I actually give it a 4.5 because the mic monitoring is almost non existent and as far as I can tell these don’t have the ability to update its firmware but it’s pretty minor.

My husband uses his pair for gaming and one day I borrowed them for work. That is when I knew I had to have my own. The quality is superb, phone calls and the ability to roam around into different rooms while still being connected cordlessLY. When in a zoom meeting you have the assurance of a double mute incase your unmuted if the mic is upward position you are muted which I love and do not have to worry about being unmuted on accident which other coworkers have been can be embarrassing! I adore the quality for music the best I have ever heard, dare I say better than a live concert in some cases. My husband used many headsets before different brands and such and claims this is his favorite.

When my son approached me about wanting a pair of wireless headphones for his Xbox, I tried to keep an open mind before looking at his choices. There was no need for that because he only had one written down and was insistent that these were "the best of the best," and that the quality is "immeasurable." My only hesitation: the price. However, you know the saying, "You get what you pay for?" This is an example of that. First, the headphones are EXTREMELY comfortable. Second, the sound quality is SUPERB! Lastly, they stay charged while my son plays games ALL day (or night) long. I'm talking about 10+ hours of constant use and they never disappoint.

These headset is not bad, and it sounds great just like every other headset out there. The pluses of it are that it has dolby, of course, but more importantly is the battery life of these things, it's impressive considering how light they are... (cellphones y'all should pick some tips here on making your bats last longer). The only bad thing is had to say would be that the volume between voice chat and game sound is very sensitive. What I mean by that is that you can't have the chat with the game sound really low and vise versa. It's not bad, but I would like to listen to the game very quietly when I'm chatting so I can pay attention to it. And you know what, maybe I got a faulty sensor on it, or maybe I'm just too picky, either way, if you got the spare cash, I would recommend this if you want to avoid the hassle of charging it every day... other wise any other headphones will do the same work. Happier shoapping!

I bought my first pair of these about a year ago and was amazed by the quality. I spend quite a few hours gaming and they are incredibly comfortable. More than that the audio quality is fantastic because they come with a Dolby license. The best feature in my opinion is the noise reduction on the mic input. Unless something is pretty loud or very close to the mic is doesn’t pick it up, so my friends don’t have to hear all of the ambient audio in my house. I have 2 pairs of these personally, I only bought an extra set because they’re wireless I swap them in and out when one of the batteries needs charged instead of charging them daily. I even bought my brother in law a set for his birthday.
