Great controller for the edge in FPS. The only thing I wish it had would be trigger stop. But the software lets you setup the triggers so you dont have to push all the way down. The app is great.

The size of the controller and placement of the paddles is so different than modern controllers that it’s very difficult to get used to. The features within the controller are quite nice but actually using it I found impossible. Had to return it!

Controller has Potential!!

Has potential!!! It has the unique qualities to become a great controller! However, it will sometimes get stuck or freezes during gameplay and my character will just go in circles, keep walking etc…until I unplug it and plug it back in then it will work again! Super frustrating in the middle of a gun fight:(. Other than that this controller has real potential. Hope there is a fix to my issue?

Maybe my hands are too big but this thing feels really funny. The triggers are bulky, the back buttons are kind of a pain to get to, it's wired, the included weights make no sense, the app capability is limited, and I've heard it doesn't work well on PC.

Good Controller With A Lot Of Features

I've been testing the RIG Revolution X controller on my PC. Overall, it is a comfortable controller with a lot of features for competitive players.
Pros
- It comes with a nice hard-shell case which will protect it while it's being transported.
- It has 3 different weights so I can adjust the feel of the controller to my liking.
- The wire is removable. It uses a USB A to USB C to connect to my PC. Which is nice because I can easily buy a longer or shorter USB--C cable to change the length.
- All the buttons are remappable and there are 4 extra buttons on the hand grips.
- The hand grip buttons are placed very well. I can operate them with a squeeze of my pinky and don't have to reposition my hands to make use of them.
- It comes with a free Dolby Atmos subscription. So, if you have a Atmos enabled headset you will be able to take advantage of the awesome 360 degree sound field.
Cons
- The tops of the hit sticks are changeable. However, they are so tight that removing them feels like it might break the parts underneath.
With that being said, it’s a good controller and I recommend it.

I love this controller more than my elite series 2 controller, ps5, and pro switch controller. The paddles are in the right spots for comfortability. The rgb is bright and customizable and the software included is user friendly. The joysticks are super accurate as well!

Software is very buggy or just not responsive, but all setting work once you get it dialed in. The controller it self is pretty nice but my k/d in halo infinite definitely went up.

I was disappointed in the build quality of the additional buttons on the grip. It was my primary reason for getting the controller, and they were hard to press and had little feedback. I found myself unintentionally double pressing the buttons often. The analog sticks and customization software were great, you can control the sensitivity of the sticks to create a custom profile that suits your needs. I ended up returning the controller because I couldn't get comfortable with it and it just didn't provide any benefit for me over an OEM one.

First off, this controller has an "adjustment period." When I first picked it up, it felt wrong in a lot of ways. It didn't really sit in my hands quite right. After I was able to get used to it, though, then I started to actually like it.
The software is pretty decent. The fact that this controller automatically enables Dolby Atmos without worrying about buying keys or what profile you're logged into is a MAJOR bonus. I've been able to use it on my normal accounts and on my alternate account I sometimes use for streaming without my sound quality being affected. Additionally, the configuration software works pretty decently, and it doesn't have an ugly user interface. (Though, I don't know if the "update controller" button actually works.) From what I can tell, it doesn't even run in the background, which is great. There's a ton of options for customization without it being overwhelming.
The hardware's nice too. My favorite parts are the fact that you can change up the weights inside the controller arms and the fact that they provide customizable sticks where you can switch up the tops and movement radii. It would've been nice if Nacon's manual showed how to actually do that since I kept feeling like I was going to break something, though. I also appreciate that the profiles are stored on the controller and that there is no need to use the software to swap once you've got them all set up. The controller feels sturdy and responsive, no sticks or buttons have got stuck yet, and it's been comfortable enough to use without hurting my hands if I play for a long time. The extra buttons are set in places where they make sense as well, are easy to configure, and don't feel overly sensitive.
Overall I'd say I'm pretty happy with it. There's been no difference in functionality between PC and Xbox, there seems to be both a manual and software based way of configuring the controller; and the sound output from the headset jack isn't weak at all. The carrying case is pretty nice too, and feels like it would actually somewhat protect the controller from damage. They even included a cleaning cloth and a storage case for extra weights and controller caps.
I do wish the manual had explained a bit more stuff, though, rather than leaving me to figure out how to use it myself. I still don't understand what the point of "advanced mode" is, and I was absolutely convinced I was going to break the controller when I tried swapping the stick caps.

If youre thinking of getting this just dont. The bottom two back buttons are extremely poorly placed and are very hard to click without moving your hand. For $100 you are much better off getting something else. Heck, i would take a $30 power A over this 10/10 times.

Hello Mase, We apologize you did not have an ideal experience the new RIG Nacon Revolution X controller. The back buttons you are referring to, S1-S4, are completely optional. The great thing about the Revolution X is that it is very customizable - both physically and with software. So if S1-S4 control buttons on the back are not ideally placed for your hands, there's no need to use them. The Revolution X software allows for complete button mapping except for the Xbox, View, Menu and Share buttons. We have a user tutorial video on the RIG YouTube channel that covers off on all the software customization features: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWfubjq7pb0&t=207s We appreciate you giving us a try and hope you will try out RIG products from Nacon Gaming in the future...
