The Revolution X Controller is an amazing controller with some fantastic features. The controller itself has a very nice design, the texture is great and prevents sweat from building up. And the buttons are slightly bigger than the regular Xbox controller. I like the position of the 4 extra buttons, they are easy to push and rest right where your hands rest. The controller comes with 3 sets of small weights. It comes with a set of 10kg, 14kg, and 16kg weights. I like the lightweight feel of the controller that's just my preference. But if you want some weight you can use one of the 3 sets it comes with. The App: Here's what I would say is the "meat and potatoes" of the controller. The app itself is a great feature that is simple to use and allows you to rebind your primary buttons to the 4 extra back buttons. You can tweak your audio settings and even change the color of the light-up ring on the right analog stick. You can also change the sensitivity of the analog sticks. You can choose from one of 4 sensitivity curves. This allows you to fine-tune your sensitivity which you cant do with a standard controller. If the presets aren't to your liking you can adjust the sensitivity curves manually. You can customize the trigger sensitivity for just the right feel. I like that it also comes with Dolby Atmos. It delivers a very high-quality surround sound. That makes your game more immersive. You can fine-tune the audio in case it's not to your liking. Overall this is a great controller. It's functional and easy to use. And the quality is excellent. I highly recommend it.

As with most controller, this RIG Nacon Revolution took no guess, and it was ready to go as soon as I connected it to my Xbox and later to my gaming PC. Except that I spent hours mapping the keys to customize them to the way I play. To me, that’s part of the experience of playing games, and this controller gives you a lot of customization. All controllers should consider the time gamers spend using them. They should be as lightweight as possible. The Revolution is surprising lighter than expected. Usually, you’d expect lightweight controllers to be flimsy, but this one feels sturdy. The included weights can help when lightness is not ideal. This is not a pro controller, but it will feel like one for those who have only used basic ones . On the downside, it is wired, which can be a blessing for games that require very fast response, but a frustration for freedom of movement. I tend to use wired controllers when competing, but for other games, wireless is my favorite. That’s why I use both. But this one has a 12-ft cord, which gives you a lot of freedom. One unexpected and welcome feature that I noticed is that this controller comes with 3D Dolby Atoms. And again, a lot of customization is possible, with changing profiles as need. A lot more than I could expect for a non-pro, and the included case looks nice, and it is not bulky by any means, adding to the feel of a professional type. Performance, durability, responsiveness, accuracy, and customization. I couldn’t ask for much more than that.

Great controller held back by software bugs

TL;DR - The Nacon RIG Revolution X controller is terrific as a controller and a good, wired option for Xbox owners looking for a wired controller that gives you a step up over the standard controllers, though for Windows gamers, the configuration software leaves a lot to be desired. While not as physically flexible as other pro-style controllers with bottom macro buttons, the buttons are easy to reach. First impressions - the controller itself is solid. Buttons all feel good, sticks feel good. The ability to change from concave to convex stick faces is a great added bonus, as some people won't like the convex while others don't like concave sticks. The weights are easy to install into the controller, and the included USB-C controller cable looks and feels great (though the Velcro included to help store the stick is on the wrong end of the cable, but that's easily fixed...) The travel case is also a solid bonus, great for laptop gamers like me. Usage - the controller itself was rather impressive. After I put the 16-gram weights in, it felt great in my hand; there are also lighter 8- and 10-gram weights included. Games new and old controlled perfectly with it. The buttons on the underside were easy to press. Maybe the only drawback of the controller was the bright green lighting behind the right stick. While I was not able to use the Revolution X app in Windows to fix this problem (both Windows 10 and Windows 11), I was able to do so on an XBox Series S without issue. Headphones sound great through this controller. I used a pair of JBL Everest 310s and I could hear everything around me. This controller also supports ATMOS audio. So if you're looking for a high-quality pro-style controller for your XBox console, this is a winner. For Windows gamers, I'd look elsewhere until Nacon fixes the app.

      Hi Shawn,
We apologize the Revolution X did not work out for you. Although it is mentioned in the product overview, we probably should have been more descriptive in the product name that it is for Windows 10, Windows 11 PCs. If you were attempting to use the controller with a Windows 10 or 11 PC, we have a great YouTube video that can assist with setup and customization on the RIG YouTube channel -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWfubjq7pb0&t=74s.

    Revolution X Controller for Xbox/PC

So I received my RIG Nacon Revolution X Controller for Xbox/PC gaming about a week ago and have been putting it through it's paces. Recently over the last few months, I've started to slowly venture into PC Gaming. Before, I was mainly a console gamer (and I use that word loosely, meaning I'm no hardcore gamer), however, being I have a couple of gaming laptops in my household, I've been wanting to try my hand at PC gaming. Using keyboard keys in my opinion can be tiresome, then this Xbox/PC controller came along. This controller is very nice. Starting off with the quality of the build of this controller is solid. It's very sturdy and does not feel cheap at all. I love the heft and the solid feel in my hands. Unboxing the package, you're greeted with a nice sturdy black storage case that house everything and is easy for travel. Inside the storage case comes the Revolution X Wired Controller, grip weights, cleaning cloth, extra concave thumbsticks, USB-C to USB-A cable, and a Dolby Atmos Activation card to get started. Included also is the user documentation to help you get started. Everything in this package including the cable is all of premium quality. For those that are just learning or starting off with PC gaming (or even those who usually do console gaming), there might be a slight learning curve with the controller being this controller has extra buttons underneath. It was a little daunting at first and you just have to know where to place your hands/fingers as there's probably a button near where you would normally place your finger. I will say that while using this controller it was very responsive and all of the controls worked as expected. Although I wish this was a wireless controller, I will say that as soon as you plug the controller into your desktop/laptop, its ready to go. I would not recommend this controller for a beginner. Not that a beginner can't learn it but just that it'll take some time to get used to.

Nice controller for xbox or pc. A bit bigger than my old one it still feels comfortable maybe even more so. Comes with a nice case for storage or to take it with you. Case also holds the cable and included accessories. The sticks seem to have more travel than other controllers which I like since it gives me better (finer?) control over movement. It also comes with two different sizes of spacers if you prefer less travel. Also pretty lightweight but includes four weights to add if you want more weight. Two extra stick tops give you a choice of convex or concave shape. The accessories also have their own case which fits inside the bigger case. I especially like the force feedback which has four motors with one for each trigger adding that extra dimension in games like forza horizon 4 you actually feel the separate effects in the gas and brake as well as the full effect on the overall controller. My old controller didn't have that feature. The light around the right stick looks pretty cool too. The software (not required) gives you many additional options. It allows you to control the light and intensity of force feedback as well as button remapping and many sensitivity settings. It also allows programming of the extra four buttons on the handles. Some may find that they hit those buttons accidentally so you may want to leave them undefined so they won't affect your play. I personally haven't had that problem while playing but mainly just when picking up the controller. Seems like a nice package. Worth it to me to upgrade from my previous controller.

For those who miss the wires

The Revolution X controller is a capable, if slightly odd, third party wired-only controller for the Xbox. it's got a decent amount of customization on display with spacers for the sticks, alternative thumbstick caps, configurable weights, and reprogrammable back buttons (configurable via app or on the controller itself. But, as with many of these kinds of controllers, it's certainly not for anyone. Build quality is decent overall. Pretty much everything on the surface is plastic and it feels very light in the hand without the optional weights. The USB-C cables is long and sturdy. And the entire thing comes in a well designed and stylish looking carrying case. The triggers lack the tactile feel of the first party controllers and the paddles feel a little insubstantial, but once you start playing you tend to stop noticing pretty quickly. Functionally, everything is very good. As expected with a wired controller there are no issues with lag or interference, the sticks center well, and all the buttons are responsive even if the slight differences in design does take a little getting used to. Switching between control profiles (or turning them off completely for a stock experience) is easily accomplished. The audio passthrough is also very good, though to be honest despite it being one of the advertised features on the box I found it to be fairly comparable to the standard controllers. The only issue I really had was getting used to the alternate buttons on the back. Most controllers I've used with this feature have used centrally mounted paddles, while this one has a set of triggers and buttons placed fairly low on the grips. It's very easy to accidentally hit the lower buttons in particular just by holding the controller until you get used to it, and even after a few days I still found myself accidentally throwing grenades in Halo. All in all this is a good choice for a third party controller, particularly for anyone who finds the first party ones a bit too heavy or want to be able to more precisely tune the controller's balance. But if you're very used to using rear paddles, you might not appreciate the change in button placement.

RIG - Nacon Revolution X Controller Comfortable, durable, and programmable… everything I need Having gone through a high-end set of customizable controllers that finally succumbed to the dreaded stick drift conundrum, I was looking for a good gaming controller for my PC that was comfortable, durable, and programmable with some consideration for a more moderate price point. For the most part, I prefer a wired controller to avoid any issues with lag or connections in the middle of the action. In the hand, this controller is your “normal” Xbox controller as far as placement of the primary controls. The controller is very light since there are no batteries, but despite being “light” it appears well-built and durable, with a nice “grippy” feel that stays comfortable for long game sessions. There are some alternate joystick buttons and some weights if you want to try those out, especially if the controller feels too light in the hand without adding some additional weight. Customization of the controller is through the Microsoft Revolution X App, which lets you dive as deep into the hole for tweaking every but and button on the controller. There are also the expected programmable triggers that can be used, or not, for mapping custom input. The controller will store up to 4 profiles and there is online access to many profiles that can be applied. Overall, if you prefer a wired controller that is fully customizable and built to last for a while, then this may be a good selection for you. Greetings from Central Georgia!

Verified buyer as I bought at Nacon website. The controller is excellent. Your thumbs fit right on top of the sticks and has some grip to them as well. I also like the D-pad regular 4 up down left right. The ABXY is fine, the bumpers are fine, the triggers are great with the full press feels exactly the same as an official Xbox controller. Has excellent grip added to the sides and back. You can even customize it with more added weight in the terms of grams. It uses grams as Nacon is a company in France. The rumble is really good and hard and can for sure feel it. The customization app is also great and you can make the triggers go at 10 to 100 percent press, so it's good for FPS games and racing games. It also has profiles to pick from. You can also create your own profile. I did as I picked NA as disabled back buttons. I'm just not a back button fan at all so I always disable them in a pro like controller. Great awesome controller. To me it's a tie with the Xbox Elite series 2 controller. They are both excellent!

This is a very impressive game pad. I’ve used it now for about a week with my Xbox series X as well as my gaming laptop with windows and Steam games. It works beautifully. Feels solid and responsive. Completely blows the standard $70 controller out of the water where precision is concerned. Comes with a nice sturdy case to protect it during travels. This is really a great alternative to the slightly pricier Elite controller. I really like the programmable buttons on the back for PC MMORPGS. Overall, just a really solid performing piece of tech. My only complaint is the requirement of the cord. Really wish this was wireless for casual gaming and wired for professionals. Other than that, I really have no complaints. Buttons have a nice crisp click to their movement, joysticks move smoothly, and it feels perfect in the hand. The D pad has good diagonal movement, so playing fighting games like Dragonball, Mortal Kombat, etc feel responsive and tight. Even games requiring precision aiming like Halo or Call of Duty will benefit from the tweaked controls. Definitely a required controller for anyone above casual gamers.

    Cheaper alternative to "pro" controllers

I feel like this controller is nicely slotted at being a good, cheaper alternative to a lot of the most "pro" controllers that are usually priced about twice as much. This controller only costs a little more than a standard controller but does offer quite a bit more so it's worth taking a look at. Setup is as easy as any wired controller would be. Just plug it in to your Xbox or Windows PC. The coolest thing about this controller is that you can actually customize the "paddle"/rear buttons without the need for any software. If you want to use software to fully customize things you can do that too but if you'd rather not deal with that and you just want to map the one "paddle" to the A button, you can do that straight from the controller. Pretty slick. The controller is built pretty ok. This is where I think it falls short of the other "pro" controllers. Look and feel do mean a lot and this controller looks a lot like the old, cheap third party controllers from way back when. The controller you'd give to your cousin who you didn't like very much. Put side by side next to the official pro controller from Microsoft or something like the Razer Wolverine V2, the RIG just looks cheap. It IS cheaper that those offerings but my first impressions when looking at it was that it definitely looks like a third party controller. It's all plastic and it feels like it. The A/B/X/Y buttons are really big and not glossy and the letters are printed HUGE on them. I think that part gives it the most third party/cheap look. Looks aren't everything though! The controller does feel comfortable to hold and the buttons feel good to press. The D-Pad is nice. The "paddles" are well positioned, to me. I've never been a big paddle user but these are in a nice enough place to change that. I keep putting paddles in quotation marks because they aren't really paddles like you'd find on the official pro controller. They're more just extra buttons on the back/bottom of the controller. They're positioned in such a nice spot where my other fingers are naturally already sitting so pressing them just involves adding a little bit of muscle memory to some fingers that normally don't do anything with almost a small squeeze. The upper back buttons feel the most natural to me and I can see myself really using them. The lower ones are a little harder to press and would be pressed by your ring finger (or pinky) so the reflex strength isn't quite as strong there for me and it makes them a little harder to press. You win some you lose some. But since I don't use ANY paddles on other controllers, having the 2 extra buttons that I might actually start using is a pretty big deal. You also get a nice carry case that's very similar to the pro controller case for the official xbox controller. You can also add weight to your controller if you like something a little heavier. There are pairs of 10, 14 and 16 gram weights that you can click into the compartments on the back side of each hand rest. With the 16 gram weights installed the controller feels like a good weight to me but you have the freedom to pick the weight that is most comfortable to you. The analog sticks can also be customized with convex or concave tops depending on your preference. The process of changing them is a little clunky as I thought I was going to break the thing when pulling the top off but it's not too bad. Just no easy to remove magnetic sticks here. You can also add spacers that decrease the travel distance of the sticks. There's two different sizes for those as well. Bottom line, I think this is a good controller if you're looking for something that has "pros" in mind but also doesn't cost upwards of $200+. It costs a little more than a normal controller and you get a lot of extra customization options you may want. The controller feels fine in your hand if you can get over the cheaper looks when you first look at it. If you want a little bit extra from your controller and don't care much about looks, this might be the option you want to go with.

One of the factors that we consider when purchasing a product is the price as we will base our purchase on our budget, well this controller is in a price range above average and it is justified with the accessories included, the protective case and a good quality cable however it seems to me that there are some aspects to consider. In the box is included the controller inside a case where it has a compartment for the cable that is long enough and accessories that are a pair of thumbsitcks, weights and stops for thumbsticks, I do not seem the fundamental accessories but they do their job. The compartments where the weights are placed are on the grips and I must say that one of the corners of the covers of these compartments is very sharp and can be dangerous, I recommend opening it carefully. The buttons on the back can be mapped in two ways, let's say that one is manual and the other from the software, you have to download an app that allows you to completely configure the controller, from the color of the right stick ring, to the dead zone of the joysticks I find it a very complete app. I have big hands and I feel that the back buttons are a little lower than what would be ideal, well at least for me, I also know that it is a matter of getting used to it. The controller fulfills its purpose perfectly, no delay or imput lag is perceived in fact is very accurate, the triggers to my taste are a little long to be a controller designed to play competitively, I emphasize that the performance of the controller is excellent but the design does not end up convincing. The cable as I mentioned is long enough and very resistant. The thumbsticks are a bit slippery in reality I do not feel that my thumbs have a firm grip on both pairs. Despite some important features that make the purchase of this controller attractive, I feel that there are some aspects of the design that do not convince me, it is a good controller for xbox or pc with a fairly long cable and accessories that can improve the experience and a not very high price, perhaps with a discount would be a good choice.

This controller's design seems to land between a Xbox1 and PS4 controller. You would think they would take the best from both controllers but they did not. There are still long trigger pulls and the controller does not sit nicely in my hands when trying to use both my index and middle finger for the trigger and bumper. The controller comes with a nice carrying care and other accessories which I don't see myself using but I guess I can't fault them for including extra stuff. I wish it was wireless-which would allow for ease of play from different areas of my room. The upper buttons on the rear of the controller are in an easy to hit spot while the lower buttons are hard to find with a pinky finger. Overall I feel like it's a poor version of a new controller. I will use it for now but will likely be looking to replace it at some point. The best thing about the controller is the response time when I'm gaming - it reacts quickly to my actions and I haven't had it lag while gaming. It seems durable and has held up well in the weeks that I have used it.

The Nacon Revolution X pro Controller is an amazing controller for Xbox and PC gaming. Due to its customizable features makes gaming so much fun. The controller has 4 buttons on the back which can have multiple functions , that you can customize with the App on windows store or the Xbox store. Although the App is mostly adjusted to the console experience, it's still usable for PC. The controller has 4 profiles out of the box that you can look at in the App. The profiles are there so you can see what buttons are mapped out where and you can make your own profiles by editing each button. The controller thumb sticks are also customizable where you can removed the cap with rounded off caps. Which surprisingly feel good to use. The sticks themselves can also be changed by putting on thicker rings to limit the range they have. Now this is useful for games that require you to make micro adjustments, which is easier with the thicker rings. There are weights on the back of the controller that can be change is you want a heavier feeling controller since there isn't any batteries in the controller since it's a wired controller. Also since the controller is wired, it has less input lag then a wireless controller. Making it really good for competitive play. I have some issues with the controller purely aesthetic, like the RGB being underwhelming just around one thumb stick makes the RGB off looking. Also the buttons feel cheaply made. Other than that its a great controller for competitive play. It comes is a nice case which makes it easily to be carried anywhere. Keeps all of the components nicely together.

I have always used Microsoft's branded controllers because they just worked and never had any issues plus I preferred wireless. This is the first non branded Microsoft controller I've used and I love it. Inside the box you get a 3 meter long USB type C to type A cable with the C part going into the controller. You also get various weights to put into the controller if you want to make it heavier as well. Comes inside a case as well with a microfiber cleaning cloth as well. On the controller you get the standard buttons as well as extra triggers for extra button features but I didn't use them. On Xbox there is an app that you can download and change the button mapping for those as well we the LED light on the right thumb stick as well. As far as using this we w controller though I find i just as good as the Microsoft one. I used it on my Xbox but mostly on my PC since I prefer controllers then keyboard or mouse. This worker seamless on a windows machine as well. I was using it on windows 11 and mostly played mass effect legendary edition and worked like normal.

I own many different X-Box controllers and nearly all of them fall short compared to the OEM wireless controller. Unfortunately, the RIG - Nacon Revolution X Controller is no different. When you first open the box, the presentation is very good. The controller comes in a heavy duty case that fits the controller, a 10 foot braided USB cord and box with customization components ( more on that.) In review : Size, weight and balance – The first thing I noticed was something did not feel right, everything just was off. I could not figure it out at first, but it quickly became apparent that the controller is larger. I know it does not sound like a lot but the Nacon Revolution X is nearly ½ inch wider than the Xbox Core controller. That size throws off the whole feel of the controller. The Nacon does feel a bit lighter than OEM version, but it is not as well balanced. Part of the imbalance compared to the Xbox controller is the batteries even out the weight. The buttons – The layout of the buttons are just off. They are in the spots you would expect but spaced just a bit off. It is hard to articulate but the best way to say it is none of the buttons feel good to press. The D-pad does not have as positive a click as an OEM controller. The rear bumper and triggers are oddly shaped and feel awkward at best. The additional bottom trigger for customization just gets in the way. Next to them are switches that let you choose from different profiles. The whole tactile experience is not good. Customizations – Ho-hum, the endless customization options by today’s accessory manufacturers. You can add weights, change between concave or convex thumb control and the height. All are completely unnecessary. Profiles and configuration can be changed via an app, but there is no need to alter anything. Performance – As with most wired controllers, response was instantaneous. I did find my thumbs sliding off the thumb sticks, the material and/or design was not a “grippy” and it affected gameplay. Overall, no advantage over the Xbox Core or Pro controllers. In conclusion, the Nacon Revolution X Controller does not impress and falls victim to the trend running rampant in increasingly crowded controller market. That trend is to make the controller overly complicated with customization options that do not really offer any advantages in performance. Think about this, how happy were you with Xbox Core OEM controller? Did you find yourself wanting to change the shaft of thumb sticks and add weights? Of course not. Manufacturers should concentrate on keeping a design as close to the original and improving quality and performance. The Nacon Revolution X Controller is not a poorly made controller, but it does fall short in key areas and most of the good points are overwhelmed by unnecessary customization options.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
