One of the best games I have EXPERIENCED

Amazing. I definitely recommend this game and is high on my list of best games I have not only played but EXPERIENCED. The art direction and design is beautiful as is the original soundtrack. On PS4 I did not notice glitches or poor performance at all. The game should take between 8-12 hours to compete for casual players. As you play, try to relax and enjoy the journey because although there is imagery and symbolism, the middle section can feel unimportant and slow for people who prefer fast action, violence or speed running. When you complete the game you may be tempted to play again in order to find things you missed the first time. Take a look at the title of each level select. It may help understand the ending if you are having difficulty figuring it out. I'm not ashamed to admit I was in tears at the end! Wow, Thank you Tequila Works (the small Spanish Studio behind this game)!!!

All I can say is...woah! This game was probably one of the best but also one of the most heart wrenching. I've gotten emotionally involved in quite a few games but I have never bawled my eyes out the way I did for this game. The game mechanics are incredibly simple to learn even though there is no real tutorial. The lack of such adds to the feeling of being lost that you experience as you search the open world for clues to drive the story on. Their are so many levels of symbolism, deep allegory, and the parallels that slowly reveal what has happened, where you are going and how to move on. Overall the game is very short but, by the end, you have gone on such a massive emotional and thought provoking rollercoaster ride you'll feel like you have worked your way through a much larger game. It's short but, powerful and satisfying.

With inspiration drawing from games such as Ico and Journey, this game throws the player into a world without much direction save whatever the player wants to do, or where they want to go. It is very reminiscent of the days where games were open ended and were not loaded with quest markers and tutorials. Rime allows the player to naturally explore and learn about the world. There are a few issues that are minor annoyances in the bigger picture, but still notable nonetheless, such as an inconsistent frame rate, and the occasional unresponsive or unintuitive control, such as when jumping and trying to catch a ledge. There are many strong points, such as its minimalistic beautiful visuals and soothing soundtrack, though.

Following in the footsteps of games like Ico and Journey, RiME spins a tale of a boy lost on a mysterious island with an even more mysterious tower looming above it. The puzzles are pretty straightforward, but creative enough to feel rewarding once you've solved them. Along with keyholes hiding nuggets of the story, and other collectibles, there's a fair bit of replay value to this gem. The graphics are a little rough in some areas, but the art direction makes up for it with the colorful and strange world, as well as a striking musical score that captures every moment perfectly. The game is short, but worth a sitting if you have enjoyed similar titles like the previously mentioned Ico (or its followups, Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian).

This game is truly moving. It is sad. It tackles the five stages of grief as the chapters. It is a short story and game, but it is worth the play. It is thought provoking, and you really get attached to his story. The graphics are truly great, and it transitions so smoothly you would think our watching a cartoon, not playing a game. Beautiful.

Reminds me quite a bit of Ico: you find yourself in a strange, unpopulated land and you're not given a whole lot of guidance re: what to do. A few relatively simple puzzles here and there and a lot of figuring out how to get from Point A to Point B... but I'm being reductive here, the joy of this game is in the total experience. Nice graphics, nice music and an interesting mood make it a worthwhile journey.

Rime is a game that I thought would never see the light of day. Initially a Sony exclusive, then Sony dropped it etc. It isn't Windwaker and it isn't an ICO clone but it straddles both worlds fair enough. Beautiful, the controls are solid, the camera in certain enclosed areas can be wonky but besides that it's a solid game. Definitely recommend it.

If you like games like Journey and Abzu, you'll love this. Perfect game for a lazy Saturday afternoon. It's actually more of an experience than a game, no combat in it, just a walking sim and figuring out puzzles. Very well done game. Even emotional at times. Music and graphics are fantastic. Highly recommend.

This is a good game that is fun to play. It has a very creative world that is fun to explore. I like that it is free and you can go anywhere. The only thing I wish was different, is that there is no story line or commentary. This makes it a little more difficult to play for long periods of time for me.

While this game has next to no dialogue, it is the same for the directionality of the story. there's no tutorial or waypoints, but there are plenty of puzzles, some that takes many trials and errors to figure out. overall, it offers a decent storyline that takes it all the way to the ending.

Really not sure what I expected when I seen this but it caught my eye and I knew I needed to add it to my collection. The magic feeling of this game brings me back to playing The Unfinished Swan and Journey. If you like those kind of games I'd definitely give this game a chance.

Overall this game is solid fun. Interesting and challenging puzzles. My main gripe is that the character seems flat or boring. This translated into the game, and I am struggling to keep interested. This game also has a lot of stutters and this is on a PS4 pro.

Love the graphics and simple yet elegant storyline here. The puzzles become increasingly challenging, building off of each story chapter but are fairly easy to get by. The side challenges are something I will play the game for again!

I have been enjoying playing this game taking turns with my wife (a non gamer) and we both enjoy it. The art style is beautiful and the puzzles are challenging but not impossible. It's Zelda without the combat.

Even though the game is short (around 5-6 hours), it's a great story, has great graphics, and gameplay. There are no enemies to fight, so think of this game as Journey in a sense.

Think Ico meets Shadow of the Colossus meets Legend of Zelda. this game doesn't quite have the same gravitas in terms of its story, but it's every bit as fun!
