3 Min reset between recordings is a deal breaker

I wanted to love these so much. As far as installation, it was easy. However the usb plug sticks out so far it makes it difficult behind furniture and you have to pull the dresser away from the wall so much that the gap allows items to fall between them. Also the cord could be another 2 feet longer if you plan on placing them up high, you can only reach about 6 feet if your plugs are a foot off the floor. I was able to overlook these issues but I just realized the major flaw to these cameras. They have a delay after recording. 3 MINUTES!!! So I have them cameras set to record the longest time which is 120 seconds. After that the cameras shut off for 3 minutes regardless if there is motion. So if someone breaks into you home and walks around the room for 10 minutes you will only get 2 recordings - 2 minutes recording, 3 minutes resetting, 2 more minutes, 3 minutes resetting. See the major flaw? I wish I could return them but I just realized this recording issue after 30 days of purchase (only 1 week of installation). I have a ring doorbell too but Ill be looking to another company when the doorbell dies. Not sure what to do with these - they are pretty worthless for security devices. Picture shows the bar indictating the 3 minute reset.

I would be happy to address your concern regarding the issue that you are experiencing with the delay in motion detection of your Ring Indoor Cam. Tap Motion Settings. At the top, tap Edit Zones or scroll down to tap Camera Motion Zones. To adjust an existing Motion Zone: tap the Zone you want to adjust, then drag the points of the Zone to do so. Tap Save. To add a new Motion Zone: tap Add Zone and drag the points of the Zone. Tap Save.
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling Smart Alerts for people only in your Ring app.
To enable Smart Alerts: Tap the menu (≡) on the top left. Tap Devices. Tap the device that you want to adjust. Tap Motion Settings. Tap Smart Alerts. Tap Enable Feature. Tap Continue. Great two pack of cameras. Easy set up and plug it in to a regular power outlet. The power cord length is adequate. Mount it or set it on the counter. A nice feature is the removable privacy lens cover. Slides left or right to cover the lens. When covered, does not record video or audio.

Cat Spy and Garage Guard in One Pack

I snagged this Ring 2-pack to keep tabs on my cats and my garage, and it’s been a solid duo. The 1080p video is sharp enough to catch my cat's zoomies in full glory—those mid-air leaps are Oscar-worthy. In the garage, it’s great for spotting if I left the door open (again). Setup’s easy: plug in, connect to Wi-Fi, done. The motion alerts ping my phone fast, though my cats trigger them more than actual intruders. The privacy cover’s a nice touch—flip it on when I’m home and feeling less spy-vibe. They’re not perfect—night vision can get grainy, and no battery means they’re tethered to outlets—but for $100, they do the job without fuss.

I recently bought this Ring Camera, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The setup was quick and easy — the app walked me through every step, and I had it up and running in minutes. The video quality is crystal clear, both during the day and at night, and I love being able to check in on my home anytime right from my phone.
The motion detection is very accurate, and I get alerts instantly when there’s activity. The two-way audio feature is also a great bonus — it’s super convenient to talk to delivery drivers or family members when I’m not home.

Better than I ever expected! Picks up motion. clear picture, excellent sound pickup and the ability to have a conversation. Using this in a warehouse type store when we are not there. The ability to cover the camera when I don't need it helps big time! I'm not very good with tech stuff, but this was very easy to set up. Can't go wrong for the price....need to pick up a couple more sets! PS....the person that helped me in the store was on the money! Thank you!

The image quality is surprisingly clear, even at night. Plus, the app is super intuitive and easy to navigate. Setting up the cameras was a breeze, seriously took just minutes. Definitely recommend checking these out if you're looking for affordable home security.

I love indoor ring security because it's not bulky. But the view is awesome. What I don't like is the power cord is too short. You will defitnitly I love indoor Ring security because it's not bulky, but the view is awesome. What I don't like is that the power cord is too short. You'll definitely need an extension cord. Overall, it is a great buy for the bucks

The only reason I felt the need for a couple of cameras was that I unfortunately find myself as my partners caregiver 24/7. She spends the day in her comfy chair to watch her shows, and of course in her bed at nite. So, since I often have a million other things to do, I put a camera in each of those locations, paired with a Echo Show 8 in my room/office so she is never out of my sight. I originally bought 2 "blink" mini's, but was not at all happy with them. The quality during the day was ok, but the night vision was terrible, and constant buffering. The feed would never last more than 10 to 90 seconds. So I switched to the two "Ring" cameras, and well, problem solved (!) 1080p is sharp and clear both day and night, plus the built in color option for the infrared. Very happy with the feed lasting 5.5 mins. ( All that the Echo Show is capable of ) Could be longer on a different type of system. Since I already have the wired doorbell, I'm all in on "Ring" !!!

We purchased this two-pack of indoor cameras to supplement our other Ring security peripherals. The cameras work great - we have them mounted indoors but facing outdoors to monitor our home's exterior. We were pleased at the quality of picture through a window. The software allows you to block areas beyond your property, which a) cuts down on notifications regarding passing traffic and b) honors your neighbor's right to privacy. The cameras were easy to set up and they work great.

These two cameras are excellent. They record all fast movements and have good images. I recommend them to anyone. They are good cameras.

Ring camera's have exceptional video capability, the audio though good primarily because the small size of the speaker is okay. I have multiple cameras (Ring and Blink) around my property and upgrade the Blink for Ring systems primarily for the recording option. I found it easier to manipulate and program Ring better than all the other brands I've tested. As an aside I'm a former IT Network/Cyber engineer.

Good little portable ring cameras

These are pretty good little cameras and I have a few of them. One thing I don't understand about them though is they have a feature to turn off the infrared I believe for night viewing because it can glare on a window if it's pointed out of a window. But what gets me is at nighttime there's a blue light on the front of it that comes on that totally ruins the picture and you can't turn that off if it's pointing out of a window. Other than that, pretty good little portable cameras that you can hook into your ring network. They also have a mic so you can hear sound and also speak to whoever is in the live feed. Also, there is no battery option for these. You have to plug them in to an outlet. And they do come with a power cord.

Hi JermeyG.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. We are pleased to read that you are enjoying your new Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen)! At Ring, every device and service we make is designed to help give Neighbors peace of mind inside, protection outside, and a connection to what’s happening in the neighborhood.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. The blue light typically comes on to indicate that the camera is recording an event, such as motion detection or the initiation of a Live View. Currently, there is no option to turn off this light indicator.
