But they are so lightweight that it is hard to keep them pointed in one direction. The power cable tends to move them around a little. Some double stick tape on the bottom will help.

Ring camera's best and easiest to set-up

I have multiple cameras (Ring and Blink) around my property and upgrade the Blink for Ring systems primarily for the recording option. I found it easier to manipulate and program Ring better than all the other brands I've tested. As an aside I'm a former IT Network/Cyber engineer.

They are really excellent and I am really happy with them. The night vision is great. I already have 4 outdoor Ring cameras as part of my security system. I will definitely recommend it for anyone.

Absolutely great indoor cameras

Love these cameras!! They are super easy to set up and the picture is crisp and clear whether in color or black in white. I now have peace of mind.

I mounted 1 on a wall in my garage for Amazon deliveries and 1 in the upstairs game room for when guests are playing pool I can see and talk to them without going upstairs.

Setup was quick and the video is clear enough for what I need. Privacy cover is a nice extra, but motion alerts can be hit or miss. Not perfect, but works fine for basic indoor security

It sounds like your Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen.) is not performing as expected. We would love the opportunity to share with you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to get your Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen.) functioning as intended. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts," please follow these steps:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap "Motion Settings."
Tap "Smart Alerts."
Tap "Enable Feature."
Tap "Continue."
Select the notification options that you want for "Person" and "Other Motion."
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.
After you've adjusted your settings, tap "Done.
