Added two additional sensors for patio sliding door and to the door which leads to side yard. Both these sensors are exposed to high heat and cold weather and so far there are no issues with it. For one of these sensors, I also used automation (using alexa) to turn on light when door is opened and so far this sensor have always triggered the rule immediately even though it is far from base station. Adding the new sensor to the existing system was also seamless.

Works perfectly and easy to install. I needed two additional contact sensors for my ring alarm system. The second generation sensors for fabulous and easy to install. It took me longer to walk to the doors to hook up the sensors then to actually do the work. It is very simple and straightforward to install these units and get them tied into the alarm system. Great value and an excellent product – thanks for a product that works as advertised

I have the original Ring alarm and was worried about this sensor. I love it ! To me, I felt it was easier to set up compared to the old original sensory. I had no issues with it being able to sync to the original base station. I prefer this look over the bulky sensors. I needed it for my sliding patio door which gets slammed open and closed daily - never had an issue with it falling off with the double sided tape.

Ring makes an excellent product at an affordable price. These contact sensors will literally stick to everything. The glue is very strong. Another great feature of these contact sensors is that you can see when the batteries low through the ring app. You receive all your notifications through the app if someone is coming or going, of if you have unwelcome visitors trying to break into your home. The contact sensors must be connected to a Ring Base Station in order to work, but when they're triggered, they'll set off the base station siren if you have your system armed and ready. Purchasing in a 6 pack is also very cost efficient because they never go on sale.

We bought the total package and had to add some sensors. They are easy to install and really a great value. Feel more secure with these on doors and windows. They really don't deter and are small enough not to notice it on your doors and/or windows.

Great cheap Z-wave sensors for Hass.io

I was surprised to learn that these sensors are standard Z-wave sensors. They are a really good price and being able to pick them up same-day from a store is great. Im using a HomeSeer 700 Series Z-wave stick on a Home Assistant server. The first sensor paired no problem the first try. The second took some fiddling, but after about 10 minutes and after resetting it paired right up. They run on two CR2032 coin-cell batteries instead of just one, so the batteries should last longer than most other sensors.

The house just bought has a LOT of windows and doors. The Ring Pro kit comes with only 6 sensors so we needed a lot more.
These additional sensors were easy to add. Another thing we like about the Ring system is you can identify the location of the sensors when they trigger. This is good for when you are arming the system but maybe a door or window is open.

I really like the design of this version to ring contact sensor. These sensors are the latest 800 long range z-wave chip. They are versatile because they are z-wave and I am able to connect them to Home Assistant without any problem. In fact, the signature for this device has been added to Z wave JS.

Geek Squad did a great professional job installing our system. Excellecent product. We are using it in three of our homes. A combined 46 windows and doors are now secured.

I bought the Ring contact sensors after I moved into a new house and left my old cheap contact sensors behind. I use these with SmartThings to signal when two entry doors in my house open and close. My first impression upon opening the packaging is that these are extremely well made with nice fit and finish. The physical installation was easy with flexibility in mounting types and positions. Pairing with SmartThings required setting them up as a generic Z-Wave device, not a problem and already expected. After a month of use the batteries still shows plenty of life and the trigger is instant when the door opens.

These are very nice contact sensors for use with a home automation system (such as the Ring Alarm system, but they also work with other systems like Hubitat, HomeSeer, HomeAssistant, and Smartthings... note: A HUB IS REQUIRED).
I paired mine with a Hubitat system, and they connected very easily. So far, there has been no issues, and they have detected contact discruptions (open doors and windows) well. They've been installed for almost 3 weeks now, and the batter is still reporting 100%, so, hopefully, we'll get some good battery life out of them!

The 6-pack is perfect for covering multiple entry points at once. Setup was quick, and integration with the Ring app was seamless. Notifications are instant and reliable. The slim design blends nicely with door and window frames. Excellent value if you want to expand your home security system quickly.

Great option if you just need a couple of sensors. Easy to install with the included adhesive, and they pair instantly with the Ring base station. The sensors are reliable and trigger alerts without delay. Ideal for smaller areas or as add-ons to strengthen your existing home security system.

The single sensor is great if you only need to secure one door or window. Installation is quick with the included adhesive, and pairing with the Ring base station is seamless. Alerts are reliable and instant. Compact and low-profile design makes it blend well without drawing attention.

I have set up ring security on my house for a while, and the contact sensors are great. The battery life is terrific. These stick to the door or window frame perfectly, and also, you can tilt either magnet or sensor if required to be fit in a narrow space. If you are going to use an open window magnet, you have to stick the sensor on the window and the magnets on the frame or wall.

Ring - Alarm Contact Sensor (2nd Gen) (6-Pack) - White - love them. I would suggest Ring offer in other colors.
We have wood stained doors and the sensors stand-out because of their color. That’s the only negative comment I have.
They were easy to set-up and the size worked well for us. For the cost of the 6 pack $99 and the yearly cost of Ring $107 - this is a no brainer.
2 thumbs up and I do recommend.
