It does everything you’d expect from a security system at this price point with the ability to add more devices in the future and monitor your system with a compatible device. Installation was straight forward but can take a couple of hours to do, this includes set up and installation using the included hardware (Adhesive stickers are included as an option for installation but I don’t recommend using them, they don’t adhere properly). I did run into connectivity issues when setting up the alarm system, requiring several attempts to completely install all the devices included in this alarm kit, which was a bit annoying. Asides from this, everything has been working as promised since installation. Ring app is easy to use and system is Alexa compatible.

I used to have a subscription alarm System and I am receiving better service from this one by itself. It was easier to pay the cost upfront and do the monitoring myself. Using the ring app makes things simple and seamless. The best thing about this system is that you can continue to add different pieces to the bundle. So you can add more window sensors, more motion detectors, an extra alarm pad, or even better is when you add cameras they all communicate with each other and makes your smart home experience that much better.

I got this after my Adt system continued to fail. Installed my self with no issues at all. Very easy to install with basic tools easy to follow instructions and great customer service. I would recommend any ring system or single piece of tech to anyone interested. I’ve had this for a month not one issue I also have ring spotlights and two ring doorbells on the system with no issues. I added extra window door sensors a smoke sensor and a water sensor and everything works perfectly thank you ring.

Super easy to install app works perfectly great peace of mind for a super low monthly price

I have been using ring camera products for a few years now, doorbell and floodlight cameras. They are solid, easy to setup products and the alarm was no different. I especially appreciated the low monitoring cost ($10/month or $100/year.) Monitoring even registered my alarm with the city I live in, they emailed a few question and took care of the rest!

I brought and installed this system a few weeks ago and I'm loving it so far. Here are the highlights: - Low cost for starter pack. It has just enough to get your system up and running - Low cost for professional monitoring, which is optional. Comes with a cell backup which is included in the monitoring. No Contracts for monitoring! - Very DIY friendly. Took minutes to install and set up. - one app to view doorbell cameras, floodlight cameras, and alarm system.

It's a nice starter kit, especially at the moment when it's on sale right now. After purchasing the product, it syncs well with your RING account and RING cameras (assuming you are in the RING ecosystem). The pricing for professionally monitored homes is affordable at $10 per month. To be clear, if you already have the $10 ring monthly plan with unlimited cameras etc, there is no extra cost when using this ring alarm system for your home, which is really nice. The installation on the app couldn't be more simple. The ring app will guide you step by step. Just follow directions and you're good to go. The included accessories such as the keypad, contact sensors and motion sensor works really well. Ring supplies the box with everything you need for installation. I've also tested the alarm sound and it's loud. Just make sure you don't enclose the hub in a closet or cabinet to avoid muffling the sound. Overall, it's a nice product that does the job: alert you and protect your property at an affordable monthly or annual cost. And before I forget, this is a NON-CONTRACT subscription product. In other words, unlike other security services where they lock you in contracts every 2-3 years, you can cancel this product subscription anytime with no termination fee if you are not satisfied.

Very glad to have purchased the Ring Home Security System. As a note: Don't remove the battery tab until you are in the set-up mode as pulling the battery tab will allow the Ring System to recognize that device. I also bought additional door sensors. Setting up the system was easy and I'm not an IT expert. Another thing I did was to make a strip of wood to go under the door molding/trim on the door jam to allow the sensor to be closer to the adjoining sensor on the door. I used a piece of a paint stir stick, attached under the molding, and then painted it to match. I also bought extra stick strips to add to what was provided. Support is of great help if you need them. My last security system was from ADT, the monthly monitoring was cost 3 times as much with a two year contract. As far as functionality this system is better than the professionally installed ADT system with a reasonable up front cost to buy the hardware and an awesome price for monitoring. My wife enjoys the ease of use and the integration with our existing Ring cameras. Installation was easy with no problems.

I got more motion sensors than i previously had with Protection 1. I love getting updates of what is going on in the area. This is such a great feature. I have Arlo cameras but i think my next purchase will be the ring doorbell. I love that my alarm monthly fee is just 10 with Ring. You also get the 1st month FREE. The cons include it is that it isnt that loud, dependong on where yoi put the base. And for some reasom it goes offline a lot. The good thing is it usually just a few seconds and it sends another notification that it is back on. All in all, it was a great purchase. You want be disappointed if you purchase it.

It is easy to setup, I setup the base station first. It connected to my wifi AP without problem using the Ring app. The Android Ring app has a trouble-some review but most complains are about the cameras. I don't have any problem using Ring app for the alarm so far. I can turn off and on using my cell phone. The biggest advantages for Ring is it is integrated in the Alexa ecosystem. You can speak to Alexa to turn on the alarm system. Once the Ring system is turned on, the echo dots and echo show in different rooms can also serve as a listen-in and glass break detective device. I created several routines in Alexa to power on ip cameras watching inside the house when Ring is set to Away and power off the cameras when Disarmed. Together with Alexa, there are so many possibilities for smart home scenarios. It is still not perfect yet, for example, I need the Ring base station to send out a trigger when the alarm goes off. Right now the trigger is only sent on the individual sensor. Such as specific door is open/closed. So to cover 12 sensors, I need to create 12 routines. There maybe work around, I still haven't figured it out yet. The base station is kind far (20 feet with 3 walls in between) so the wifi reception is unstable. The station dropped the wifi and switched to cell signal a couple times a day initially. I added a wifi bridge and connected the bridge and base station using a ethernet cable. That solved the problem. The good news is that the Ring and Alexa are constantly improving.

I set it up without a lot of issues. Geek squad did come for advice and they ordered what i needed. However, the order was goofed up and did not arive till a week later then was told. I ended up going to the store and found equipent all on sale. I found better luck doing it myself ONCE I FIGURED IT OUT, I set it up much better and saved several hundred dollars. My recomendation, do your own investigating but the system works great. I ran cat 6 to all the exterior cameras which works super good. A little extra work at the beginning but then no worries. no plugs and no batteries.

Purchased on Black Friday, packaging and equipment is impressive. Step by step instructions are easy to follow. Didn't take long to have this system up and running in our home. I will add on additional sensors to expand coverage. The app and the product are working as expected and easy to use. Unfortunately, our floodlight camera isn't and that is frustrating. We purchased these items to compliment each other. Apparently the camera is having issues with my routers firewall. (Just diagnosed finally). While I wouldn't be able to recommend the floodlight camera, I can highly recommend the alarm system.

This is a good system for a small home. This particular system does not include cameras. Easy to install & set up. *Be sure to inquire about the free 2nd gen Echo Dot that’s supposed to be included with purchase*. I did not receive one & plan to inquire in store.

I was ready to purchase the Simplisafe system in effort to save on the monthly fees associated with it, which would have eventually paid for the system. Then I saw the Ring system, which was far less expensive than the Simplisafe system at the time because of a sale at Best Buy, but what saved the most was the fact that central monitoring is only $100/year or $10/month, which includes a warranty extension for as long as you continuously extend the monitoring. It also includes recording for all of your other Ring doorbells/cameras, and it also includes replacement of those devices in the event of theft. The value can't be beat. The Ring Alarm base station also acts as a Z-wave controller, so I was able to pair my Z-wave enabled thermostat to it, with the ability to now control my thermostat via the Ring app. I'm a little over a month in with the Ring Alarm at this point, and I couldn't be happier!

I brought one for me one for my parents. After installing theirs I can tell you I am very impressed. This alarm is going to put the rest out of business once the word gets out. Simpli Safe cannot compete with Ring. Their base package is $25, but can’t get alerts or control the alarm from your phone. Ring does it all for $100/year or $8.33/month. Aside from the price this system itself is very very good.

After months of research and consulting with even high end security professionals who cost too much for what I need. I determined that RING was the best choice for home security. From it's ease of installation, customer service, simple user interface, and mobile device access (I can watch people from my phone/tablet). Ring was the obvious choice!

I’ve had this system for over a month now. I love how easy it is to use, that it’s wireless, and that it looks so chic! You can even control the entire system with your cellphone! It also connects to Alexa. The next item on my wishlist is the doorbell ring! I’m so glad I made this purchase. It’s one of the best security systems out there! Thanks!
