Great having the Panic buttons right on the face. The old model did not. Works perfect with existing system, opened app and found new keypad very fast.

2nd Gen Keypad Upgrade

My one and only complaint would be if the panic feature had a faster response time. Three seconds is a long time when you think of an emergency.

We are happy to share some information with you regarding the charging issue that you mentioned in your review. If you find that your Ring Alarm Keypad is no longer charging, we recommend trying a different USB charging cable. If you still experience issues with the device, follow these steps to perform a factory reset of the device:
Scanning the QR code:
To Factory Reset the Keypad, plug in the Keypad using the supplied cable and charging block.
Press and hold the pinhole reset button on the back of the Keypad.
Hold the button down for 10 seconds until the network LED flashes red then release.
If the Keypad does not begin configuring, unplug and plug it back in.
Entering the 5-digit PIN code:
To Factory Reset the Keypad, plug in the Keypad using the supplied cable and charging block.
Press and hold the pinhole reset button on the back of the Keypad.
Hold the button down for 10 seconds until the network LED flashes red then release.
Once reset, press and hold the 1 key for 5 seconds.

Setup is quick and easy and now i dont set off the alarm when i go to the garage at night!

My only complaint is that the mounting hose to mount on the wall are different than the previous model. So you’ll need at least one more hole.

Like the Base Station, the Siren will always play from the keypad at max volume.
To adjust the device’s entry/exit delay sounds:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the Menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Scroll to the Keypad section.
Tap the name of the Keypad you would like to adjust.
Tap the Audio Settings tile.
Adjust the volume settings as needed using the slider.
