The app seems to work well. So many extras you can add. I've added 2 flood lights, 4 wireless cams with spotlights, garage door opener, thermostat and one lock so far. All merge together in the ring app and so easy to control. I would highly recommend this alarm system.

Disappointing Service

We purchased the system in early October (at the Salem, NH store) and our installation was set for Friday, Oct. 27. The install tech (David was his name) arrived on time and partially installed our system, which works in limited fashion. Dave had 5 installs that day and needed to leave after about 1.5 - 2 hours at our home. He mentioned that his wife takes care of his appointment schedule and that we would hear from her soon to re-schedule the remainder of the work to be done. Specifically, left out was the installation of the Ring doorbells, the installation of the solar chargers for the cameras and also programming my wife's phone for remote tracking (and also a couple of other devices). It has been 3 weeks and no return appointment has been made. Last week I went back to the Manchester store and spoke with a girl (Rachel) and explain the situation so she took my info and said I would hear back about the delay shortly, It has been another week and no call from either the Salem, Manchester, or Nashua Best Buy folks. The Install tech (Dave) didn't leave a business card so we can't reach out to him; I also called the Ring 800 number and they were clueless and said they have no way of knowing who would have done the install since it is farmed out to a subcontractor. At this point it's been over a month since the dropped more than $2,000 for the system (and 3 weeks since the first install appointment) and our system is incomplete--pretty frustrating (and disappointing) to say the least. Again, I think the Ring security will do what we want but until the installation is complete I can't tell--please help.

We hope you were able to find an alternate installer, who successfully installed your device. Having the peace of mind in your home security that you purchased Ring for is critical!
All of our doorbells and cameras are designed to be a fairly simple, DIY (do-it-yourself) type of installation. We strive to include all needed parts, tools, and instructions to make the process seamless for our customers. However, in some installation instances and unique home environments, assistance from a qualified professional or someone familiar with installing Ring products may be best.

The only items we probably would not have purchased are the motion detectors, but we did have them installed with the rest of the items in the kit.
