    The system is very straigt forward and easy to use. I was very happy until i needed support. They speak broken english, the call quality is crap, and they take forever to fail at helping.

    Technicians were not able to install due to the type of base boards we have in our house. Product was returned therefore I am not able to rate the product.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Alarm are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.

      It sounds like the device is not performing to your expectations. The Ring Alarm 8-Piece Security Kit is designed to secure entry points, detect motion, and more, with Alarm Sensors that trigger your Alarm’s siren. There are some environmental factors that can contribute to false alerts from your sensors. Pets, light changes, and other movement can set off a false alarm. Check that elements and pets inside your home won’t accidentally set off motion detectors. That might include helium balloons, rotating fans, shiny objects, flickering lights, and curtains placed over an air vent. Any movement within your home can trigger the motion detector when your Ring Alarm is armed “away,” potentially setting off the alarm. Replace low batteries and faulty equipment immediately. If your Ring Alarm sends you a notification that a Contact Sensor has a low battery, replace it immediately. If a device breaks in some way, bypass it when you arm your home and replace the battery as soon as possible.

      We have shared some useful setup tips for your Ring Contact Sensors here to help you avoid false alarms:

      Review your Contact Sensor to ensure you've set it up your device correctly.
      Use the right placement settings.
      Set a door you use often to Main Door.
      Set a door you rarely use to Secondary Door.
      Always set windows to the Window setting.
      Adjust Entry and Exit delays to give you enough time to enter, exit, and use your alarm without setting off false alarms.
      Close doors and windows tightly to ensure they are shut. If your door or window pops open, it can set off a false alarm.
      Securely attach Contact Sensors and Magnets to your doors and windows. If it falls off while armed, it could set off a false alarm.

      Hi Orlando. I understand that having Contact Sensors mounted correctly and staying mounted is important. As a best practice, be sure to clean the mounting surface prior to mounting and ensure that the surface is flush with the Contact Sensor. You can also access, download, and share past Ring videos. Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to the Live View feature.       Ring gives customers a complimentary 30-day trial with each new Ring device. After the 30-days, you can choose if you would like to purchase a Ring Protect Plan or not. A Ring Protect Plan is not necessary to view real time notifications on your Ring cameras. Without the Ring Protect Plan, you can still use the live view and two-way audio feature, you are still able to see who is at your door and answer motion notifications. Likewise, we completely understand the relevance of having your home security up and running. Having peace of mind that your device’s connectivity is solid is also very important.

       

      After reading your review, it seems that you are having trouble with the night vision feature on one of your Ring cameras. Certain models of Ring devices have a night vision feature that allows you to see through the camera in low light conditions. By using infrared light, the camera can create a black and white image that is then beamed to the Live View in your app. By turning the color night vision feature on, the camera will use whatever ambient light is available to try and create a "false color" image in your Live View. This lets you get a better sense of what's happening in the image by creating a false sense of color depth.
