It sounds like the device is not performing as expected regarding Groups function. One of the most powerful ways to use your Ring Smart Lights and cameras is to group them together using the Groups feature in the Ring app. If other lights are not being triggered when motion is detected, check if all lights are properly added to the Light Groups in the Ring app by follow these instructions:

Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
Tap the light's tile under Devices.
Tap your device's Settings.
Tap Group.
Tap The existing group you wish to add the device to.

To check on the status of all the devices in a Group, follow these instructions:

Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
Tap the light group's tile under Devices.
The device's status will be shown below its name.
The following statuses can be shown:
Lights are on/Lights are off/Device is offline/Low battery (for battery operated devices)

Having longevity in a battery-powered security device is crucial when it comes to monitoring your home. We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the battery life concern you mentioned in your review.

It sounds like you are concerned about the battery life of your Ring device. While batteries in Ring Smart Lights will last for months with normal use, there are several factors that may impact battery life, such as the local weather and the number of activities captured. Try adjusting the following settings to get the longest battery life from your device:

Set Light Sensors to 0 or 1 so that the lights only turn on if it's very dark.
Reduce the brightness to the lowest setting.
Set Group Auto Shutoff time to 30 seconds.
For alkaline (replaceable) battery devices, we strongly recommend using name-brand batteries such as Amazon Basics, Duracell, or Energizer. Always use fresh batteries of the same brand.

To reduce motion triggers:
Only enable motion on the lights that are accurately detecting motion, and let those lead lights activate the whole group. This will extend battery life as well as reduce notifications.
Avoid pointing lights toward potential heat source or moving object. Heat sources and waving objects such as wind chimes might trigger motion.
