Posted .Hello Samantha,
Thank you for leaving a review. Here at Ring, we understand how critical it is for your Ring Chime Pro to work as intended. It's a key component to ensure all connected Ring devices have a strong signal, along with providing an internal audio effect through your home. We are here to lend some assistance.
Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Chime Pro extending your wifi signal. When this happens, we recommend moving your Chime Pro. The ideal placement for your Chime Pro is about halfway between your wifi router and the device it’s connected to.
Wifi extenders work best with devices that won’t be moved, and ideally, the maximum distance between the router and the device should be under 30 feet. If the distance is greater than 30 feet, you might need a different solution to a weak wifi signal, like a mesh network instead of a wifi extender. A wifi router creates a single access point that broadcasts a signal. The further the signal has to go, the weaker the signal gets.

Posted .Hello Lilbit,
This isn't the experience we want our customers to have. The Ring Chime Pro is intended to improve the internet connection to your Ring devices. Please know we are here to help find a solution.
This device is compatible with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. If you haven't already, please try a set up on each of the networks. Typically, one of the two performs better and should resolve any set-up issues.
Otherwise, you can reboot your router to help clear out any underlying network issues. You should only have to power down your router for 30 seconds.
If you have any questions about your Chime Pro, or anything else, please feel free to reach out on our community forum at https://community.ring.com.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolute garbage. Doesn't extend more than 3 feet. Difficult to install and get it recognized by the router. You also have to bring the thing (spotlight camera) within 3 feet and then reset the thing multiple times. Ring support will ultimately blame your router because that is an easy fix for them. Still can't get a live view from our garage even after 15 or so hours over 3 weekends with support. Support will also leave you on hold for 30 minutes before you can get to an actual person

Posted .Hello MrBri,
We understand how important it is to have a solid internet connection to your Ring cameras. By installing a Chime Pro, you should be able to improve the connection to your Ring devices. How far the Chime Pro Network reaches is based on various factors. Our team is here to provide you with the means to get the most out of your device.
Each home's unique layout will affect how far this device's network will reach. Please bear in mind that heavy-duty materials such as brick, metal, cement and large appliances can affect a wifi signal.
For optimal performance, please use the Chime Pro Placement Test feature. This can help ensure you have a good installation location. To learn more, please visit this article: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052520292-Using-Chime-Pro-Placement-Test-to-optimize-your-wifi

Posted .Hi Tseaster,
We understand how important it is to have a reliable internet connection to your security devices. The Ring Chime Pro should help meet that need by bettering the wifi connection to Ring doorbells and cameras. Our team is here to help find a solution.
Wifi extenders are only necessary when a home wifi signal struggles to reach the area that your Ring device is mounted at.
Whenever possible, we recommend using a 2.4 GHz wifi signal. This type of wifi signal is better at reaching areas of the home that 5 GHz struggles to reach. Alternatively, you can relocate your router to a central part of the home. This will help your routers signal reach more areas of your home.
