It makes its own network separate from the main network and everything fund smoothly. Plus the night light is a good extra feature.

This allows you to be able to get your system to work properly especially if you have a large home.

You can link multiple devices to it and customize the sound so you know where the alert is coming from if you don’t have your phone handy.

Not the fault of the Chime itself but would love it if they added a more traditional doorbell sound. In all excellent value for the money and it gets me a doorbell again.

I had a WiFi extender to help the WiFi reach the back yard camera, but it didn’t quite do the job. The Ring Chime Pro not only gave me notification sounds but it comes with a WiFi extender, too!! Now the WiFi is able to contact the backyard camera with no problem at all. I love it!!

I do like that you can set different chimes - I chose the dog barking - but I wish I could turn it up a lot louder and keep it chiming (barking) for security reasons. I bought a Chime Pro, which is also a range extender, and hoping it will extend the wifi signal to a Chime at the far end of my home.

I think it should be better because it is like 12 feet from all the ring devices but it will do and it gives you alerts. I like it a lot. The nite light also is a cool little thing.

Being able to rely on the alerts is an essential feature of the Ring Chime. We can definitely assist you with this today, and we are confident we can find the correct settings for your home’s environment.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. Ring Chime and Ring Chime Pro can play audio alerts when motion is detected on your Ring device or when someone presses your Ring doorbell. Ring Chime was designed with the ability to adjust the volume and customize the type of sound you hear when an event takes place.
Your Ring Chime Pro can play different sounds for motion and ring events. We recommend following these steps to choose the best sound for Chime alerts for your environment:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the top menu (☰) and then Devices.
Select your Chime or Chime Pro device.
Tap Audio Settings, then Chime Tones.
You'll see two tabs at the top of the screen: rings and motions.
Tap Rings and select your favorite sound. Chime will play when someone presses your doorbell. You'll hear an audio sample when chosen. You can also adjust the volume with the slider.
Tap Motions and select your favorite sound. Chime will play when motion is detected on your Ring doorbells and cameras. You can also adjust the volume with the slider.
