I purchased this to extend my wifi network and have a chime for my ring doorbells as well. I saw some pretty bad reviews saying it didn't help but I gave it a shot anyway because I at least needed a chime. It turns out it really depends on where you put it in your house for this to work. I placed this originally in the center of my house halfway between the router and ring doorbell and the signal was about the same as it was without it. I moved the chime closer to my doorbell and now it has about the same signal as the ring doorbell that is only on the other side of the wall from my router! It wasn't instantly better it took a few minutes to read the chime and refresh the information. The sound gets loud I can hear it over my tv on the opposite side of the house. It's pretty easy to set up just follow the instructions in the app. I am disappointed that I can't set different chimes for different doorbells. I get confused on which door someone is at and I tend to misplace my phone in my couch often so looking at the app isn't always an easy option. I haven't tried the nightlight feature it would be useful but my outlets already have nightlights in them. It's fun that there are special holiday chimes. I currently have a Halloween chime. I recommend this product to complete a chime doorbell set.

Easy set up, connected quickly. Can be reprogrammed to play different chimes, or even seasonal songs. Plugs into a wall socket, (the unit has a built-in nightlight also) but leaves enough room to plug another cord in. Pricey, but not as pricey as another router. Our doorbell was just on the edge of our wifi coverage, so this was exactly what we needed.

Got this as I recent got a ring spot light and it had weak signal. It is easy to set up and once you have done so go to the device with a weak signal and choose device health and it will ask if you want to connect it to your chime pro network. It will go through the steps of connecting to WiFi again but will connect to the chime pro network instead. Once done you should have a better signal. This saved me from getting a additional mesh node. Has a night light function that you can disable if you wish.

We purchased the Ring Chime Pro along with the Ring Doorbell 3, Ring Spotlight Cam + solar panel... we are very happy with our purchases and the peace of mind that come with this high quality home security option that was easy to install and use. We bought the Chime Pro to extend our wifi to the doorbell and spotlight cam, but it's also loud and clear when notifying us of someone at the door and it's great as a nightlight in our living room!

Always had bad signal for my doorbell. Once I set up my chime pro my signal significantly improved. I noticed my camera quality was better and the response time to open live view from the ring app was greatly improved. Plus it has a little night light which is a very nice feature since I plugged the device in right by my front door hallway. Super easy set up.

Needed this to extend the range for my Ring camera. The set up was really easy and it has worked great to keep my camera connected to our WiFi. A little pricey for what I use it for but it works without problems.
