Having a solid connection ensures you do not miss any activity around your home. We are eager to address the issue you raised in your review and provide you with a resolution today.

It sounds like the device is not operating as expected. Even with your Chime Pro, your router is still your main source of connection for your Ring device. Ideally, the maximum distance between the router and your device is 20-25 feet with the Chime Pro about halfway between the Ring device and your router. If possible, try moving the router closer to the device. Also, make sure your router is not in a closet or behind furniture, like a sofa, so the router has an unobstructed signal.

The Ring Chime Pro was designed with adjustable sound alerts. Your Chime or Chime Pro can play different sounds for Motion and Ring events. Follow these steps in the Ring app to set up your favorite Chime Tones:

Open the Ring app.
Tap the top menu (☰) and then Devices.
Select your Chime or Chime Pro device.
Tap Audio Settings then Chime Tones.
You'll see two tabs at the top of the screen: Rings and Motions.
Tap Rings and select your favorite sound Chime will play when someone presses your doorbell. You'll hear an audio sample when chosen. You can also adjust the volume with the slider.
Tap Motions and select your favorite sound Chime will play when motion is detected on your Ring doorbells and cameras.

You can also adjust the volume with the slider. The siren will not sound through the Ring Chime Pro. You can connect your compatible Amazon Echo, Echo Show, Echo Hub, Fire TV, or Fire Tablet to your Ring device and use Alexa voice commands to do the following (and more):

Answer your door (and receive chime notifications on your Alexa-enabled device).
Speak to your visitors.
Get a Live View from your doorbell or camera feed (only for compatible devices with screen display).
Arm and disarm your Ring modes.*
*Ring Alarm and all Ring Alarm accessories require a subscription for digital notifications, in-app features, digital arming/disarming, and integration with other Ring, Echo, and third party products. Subscription sold separately.

We understand how important it is to hear your Ring alerts throughout your home. The Ring Chime is intended to amplify Ring alerts so that you can hear them when you are away from your phone. Rest assured, we hear your concern and are here to help.

If you haven't already, please use the Ring app to increase the volume on your device. As a reference, here is how:

- Launch the Ring app and tap the main menu.
- Select the word Devices.
- Tap your Chime.
- Select Audio Settings.
- Tap Chime Tones.

From here, you can choose the sounds your device makes and increase the volume. If you happen to run into issues or need further assistance, please reach us directly. For any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out on our community forum at https://community.ring.com/.
