Could only use with Ring doorbell product. Still, chime was pretty handy to hear on other side of our house. We ended up returning this item.

Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Chime Pro extending your wifi signal. When this happens, we recommend moving your Chime Pro. The ideal placement for your Chime Pro is about halfway between your wifi router and the device it’s connected to.
Wifi extenders work best with devices that won’t be moved, and ideally, the maximum distance between the router and the device should be under 30 feet. If the distance is greater than 30 feet, you might need a different solution to a weak wifi signal, like a mesh network instead of a wifi extender. A wifi router creates a single access point that broadcasts a signal. The further the signal has to go, the weaker the signal gets.

MUCH better than the basic one!!!

I was not prepared for it to have a nightlight which is only bad when we have a shadow chasing dog stay with us. Overall I really like it and it's much better quality than the basic version.

I have an outdoor ring floodlight that was not getting the best reception from my router. I put the Chime Pro between the router and the light. Now it all works great. Well worth the price.

This device sounds every time motion is detected or someone pushes the doorbell button. Perfect!

I used it to expand the furthest distant camera from my router. The reception was much better at the camera and others in the area. Well worth the addition to your Ring security system.

Now I have a Gen 1 and couldn't find anything about if it wasn't compatable. So I can't Trash it because maybe there not compatable. My rating is based on overall ring products.

I installed my Ring Doorbell but the chime that came built with the house did not work. I purchased the Ring Chime Pro, plugged it in at the center of the house hallway, and it works great!!

I purchased this hoping it would improve my range but the improvement was marginal at best. Still, for the money it was a good additional doorbell.
