Pretty cool device, but not so cool company

I have a windows 10 phone, and they shut down the app. The app on Windows 10 PC/Tablets is very limited. They could easily make this device worth buying if they make the software more customizable. Why can't I change the ringtone?? Why does the Ring company tell us we can do special things with this hardware but limit those possibilities?

Could be louder
