All it is a chime so you can hear the Doorbell in our house away from the door. Even though it already rings on my cell phone and tablet. I do not need a chime I needed a network extender. I bought another extender first and the Ring would not connect to it. Went and got this and it connected to the Ring but just to make the doorbell sound.

Its faulty. When it managed to start blinking for set up. It couldn't sync to my app. Stating it is already synced to a previous user. to ask the person to un link. Security devices like these...should never be repackaged and put back on shelves to resell. Very dissapointing . I ended up purchasing a NEW working one from Amazon!

I am sorry to hear about your less than excellent Ring experience. Have you, however, looked into our Ring Chime. Ring Chime is a wireless notification device that can connect to all of your Ring devices. Simply plug it into a wall socket, connect it through the Ring app and you'll get Ring notifications anywhere in your home, even if you're not near your phone.

Ring customer support is terrible... I had less than a 1mbps drop in wifi from router to ring location, but they said it was because the wifi isn't good enough. I can stream UHD 4k to an outdoor tv 4 times further away on the same wifi, but can't get bad picture from the Ring. Ring support has gone back and forth for weeks and still no resolution.
