Finally a working wireless doorbell

I've had bad luck with wireless doorbells. Either not working or going off randomly. But this one works great with the Ring doorbell system. I can put it anywhere in my house and turn the volume up or down so as to not wake the baby. You do get notifications on your phone from the ring doorbell, but when someone is at our house babysitting or doesn't have their phone connected to our system, this allows them to hear the bell.

Very effective. If you save your phone in another room, the chimes also goes off, so you know someone is at your door.

Ring Chimes Always Disconnecting to WiFi

Purchased 2 Ring Chimes to complement my Ring Pro doorbell and also to amplify the notification inside my house. Installed 1 downstairs and 1 upstairs. Set up and installation was easy. I have the 2 chimes for only 3 days but I noticed that most of the time they get disconnect to the wifi network. I keep on re-installing the chimes and even relocated the location of the chimes as close to the router. Getting disappointed as it is my 4th time to reconfigure the chimes and thinking of returning the chimes. Any recommendations Ring support?

Hu RS1969,
I am so sorry to hear about this poor and inconvenient Ring experience. Your Ring device should hold a stable connection to your home WIFI network. Would you be so kind as to email me directly at [email protected]?
I would appreciate the chance to investigate this for you further so that I can work to provide you with the best possible resolution.

This works really well for our house doorbell can't be heard downstairs in the kitchen. We placed this in the kitchen and now we hear it anywhere in the house downstairs. The only flaw is it's delayed about 15 seconds from the time the doorbell is rang, I'm also disappointed you can't change the chimes themselves. Otherwise it's great!

This was sent to me by Ring when my out of warranty Ring doorbell quit triggering my wired doorbell. Like the Ring the concept is great. The execution is another matter. The chime would be fine if you bought one for every room in your house. At full volume you can hear it if you're in the same room. If you're down the hall or on another floor, forget it. It's not a replacement for a wired doorbell chime. Furthermore it only chimes for about 4 seconds. Not really enough time for the device to register. If those shortcomings weren't enough it can't be triggered a second time until the doorbell is done sending it's video. Anyone ringing your doorbell would likely give up and be long gone before you even knew they were there. I did call tech support. The only solution they offered was for me to buy several chimes and deploy them throughout the house. To me an easy software fix would be to allow you to loop the chime sound several times for each push of the button. My opinion is that this product is not ready for prime time.

Hi Specba,
I am so sorry to hear about this less than excellent Ring experience. You can, however, change the volume of your Ring Chime unit and configure which doorbell will trigger your Chime. While I do see that you mentioned already working with our Customer Support team, I would appreciate the chance to connect with you directly so that I can provide you with some additional assistance. Would you please email me at [email protected]?
I would appreciate your time as well as the chance to improve your experience.

I soon worked out within 2 mins of opening this items its a waste of time. Kept dropping the iIFi signal. If my WiFi signal can pick up other devices in the same area as where the chime was plugged in then there isn't an issue with the WiFi but the device itself.
If I knew this was going to be an issue I would have opted for a non Ring option. I will try my luck at the $50 version with the WiFi extender (against the recommendation of other reviewers) - will keep you all posted

Chime want connect to the Chime Network

This is an awful product and Ring's customer service is even worst. In fact, Ring customer service is really not a service at all. The first chime I brought from Best Buy it did not work, So Ring sent me a new one, this one did not work. I called and requested another chime and they refuse to send me another chime saying it was an IP problem not their problem. That's strange because the Ring video doorbell works fine from the same network. Now I'm stuck with two worthless chimes and no way of knowing if someone is at the door.
