Great to use when you're home without using your phone, connects to the Ring doorbell fast and easily, the light on the chime stays lit blue wish i could dim it or turn it off completely but its not a deal breaker, its a great product and you could add more if needed for a bigger house

The chime is a great addition to your Ring system. It can work with your ring doorbell and/or camera. Also, it can be placed anywhere your home WiFi reaches. You can select from multiple different chimes and it is reasonably priced. Oh yeah, the volume can be adjusted and it will send alerts to your phone just like the doorbell does. It works well.

After searching around I found that Ring was compatible with two chime, the regular (Chime) or the one that includes a built-in network extender (Chime Pro). No need for anything network related as my doorbell has great reception. I installed the chime on the wall and used the Ring app on my phone to find and join it to my account. From there, I was able to set two tones: One for when a visitor rings the bell and the second for when the unit detects motion. Funny enough, it even has a "dogs barking" tone so if you want to set that sound to max volume and have it trigger when motion is detected, that may serve as a simple deterrent.
The unit is plenty loud and the tones are fine but I do wish I could use my own tones for the unit but c'est la vie. Works every time, pleasant tone that can be volume adjusted to your liking, I'd buy again without hesitation.

We purchased the ring.com doorbell with the chime and truly have enjoyed the product. We live in Ohio and the doorbell/chime is in Hilton Head, SC. It amazes us that the video and sound is so clear.
The chime is loud enough to be heard thruout the whole condo and is adjustable.

I got this to pair with my Ring Doorbell because there is no physical chime or wiring. So, It was this or just rely on cell phones to register the ring. I really like this product.
The Ring Chime volume can be adjusted (on from the app). It can also be set to respond to rings and/or motion, which is a great extra feature. I was concerned there's be a lag or display between the activation at the door and the chime, but there isn't much, It's pretty quick most of the time, but there is an occasional delay if there is a lot internet traffic going on.
You can connect multiple chimes to a doorbell (like one upstairs and one downstairs) but I didn't need it, I just turned up the volume on the chime. Unfortunately, you can't hook up multiple doorbells to a single chime. If they'd let you use custom chimes you could have one chime for the front and a second chime for the back doorbell.
I would like the ability to give it custom ring tones, but you only get the same sounds you get from the app on your phone. Bummer.
Anyway, the chime is a fine product if you don't have a wired chime from the doorbell you are replacing. I'd like a few more features, but still good.

This item is almost a must if you have the ring video doorbell. It can be difficult to hear the outdoor bell, especially if you aren't sitting close to the door. Using the chime is easy, convenient, and is very easy to hear if someone is ringing your bell.

This little thing is great! After installing the Ring Pro, my mechanical doorbell made such a low noise that I was almost always missing folks at the door. That's no longer a problem with this little gem. We have a two story open concept home and it is loud enough for us to hear it everywhere.
That said, the downsides are:
- it only connects to 2.4 wireless networks. If yours is flaky like mine, you will constantly set this doorbell. It doesn't "remember" the wireless network so you will have to reset it using a pin on the side and then re-establish the connection
- I originally thought the quiet doorbell thing was just my own configuration but apparently it is a common issue. They REALLY should include this with the doorbell pro. It's an extra expense on top of an already expensive doorbell purchase.
- There is a limited range on the volume of the doorbell. I could see that being a problem in some homes
otherwise this is a must purchase if you have the ring doorbell.

This is required to purchased separately if you purchase the Ring door bell camera to replace existing door bell, otherwise the only notification you’ll have when someone rings the doorbell is your phone. It’s stupid that they don’t include that with your purchase of the cameras. It’s easy to set up and has options for volume and ring tones. Although it’s annoying because it does have about a few seconds delay from when someone rings the bell and the chime going off.

I don't have a wired doorbell so needed this chime for my new Ring battery operated doorbell. It was easy to install and works great - notifies me of Ring alerts and the actual doorbell ringing. You get to set different tones for each. My problem is with the Ring doorbell itself. I've already done a review of it, but forgot to mention the problem setting up zones. I set them but Ring gives me alerts for outside my zone; so I narrow the zone and eliminate other zones and it still happens. And there's no rhyme or reason to what it selects to alert me about except for the one at the front door which is the main one I'm interested in, so I'm glad it does that anyway. It's just that I'm getting too many alerts. I also forgot to mention two things mentioned by others - bad night pictures, and screws too short when you have to use all the wedges - plus the wedges don't hook together in a way that they stay together (according to my husband). Also, the doorbell battery is halfway down after only 2.5 weeks (I didn't install it for almost a week after I received it). I still rate the doorbell itself as a 4-star, though.

You'll really need at least one of these with your Ring Doorbell, otherwise you might not be aware someone is at your door. Especially if you leave your phone in another room. In most cases 1 will be loud enough per level or 1000 sq ft. Order more for larger spaces.

Great accessory to Ring doorbell

This ring chime is a great accessory to the Ring doorbell. It plugs into an outlet and allows you to hear the doorbell ring through the home. If you don't have this, then you have to have your mobile phone on you at all times if someone rings the doorbell. So, this is kind of practical to have. Also, if you have access to wifi, you can plug this chime anyplace and be able to hear the doorbell ring at your primary resident without being home and if your cell phone is not available.

I bought a Ring doorbell a while ago. We were pleased with the chime but thought that maybe we needed an additional chime for upstairs given that we did not know if it would work with our existing chime. it turns out it worked with our existing chime, so we ended up moving this chime to our basement where we had trouble getting signal for our wireless doorbell. It has been great. We can hear the doorbell every time and loud enough for when we have a party. I would recommend it to anyone who has a Ring system.
