It works, however, it's not necessary since the ring box on the door makes the sound loud enough, unless it's installed in a big house

My house did not have an installed doorbell to add ring system to and I forget my phone is on silence a lot for work. I can still hear the doorbell ring. I set a train whistle for my ring door bell and wind chime for motion out side. Added bonus my dogs do not recognize it as door bell sounds, so no barking.

I have a workshop in the back of my house. With the Chime, I don't have to worry about hearing the doorbell if someone comes to my house. Also, the Chime will let you know if motion is detected by your doorbell so you don't have to worry about missing anything.

For those times when you don't have the smartphone or tablet with you - rings loudly and clearly. Totally unnecessary if your smartphone or tablet is always attached to your body :-) Installation was easy (it just plugs in) and connecting it to the existing WiFi network (no proprietary hub like Z-Wave or ZigBee required) was easy.

Great addition to Ring products. Had a little trouble getting it on the network and called their tech support who couldn't troubleshoot and thought it was defective and told me to return it to the store. After further fiddling on my own, got it to work. I wish I knew what actually fixed it but I had to try different things and then it worked.

This is such an excellent and effective addition to my ring door bell. It’s very loud and can be heard with just one of these devices plugged into the living room. Still considering getting more for each room.

Our ringer is in the second floor Having the ringer plugged in in the living room helps me hear when it rings!

All my friends love it when I can see and talk to someone at my front door from another location like at work or out eating.

Easy to sync with your Ring system. All of the normal ringtones sound almost identical. Wish it was a little louder.

We got this product so that will know when somebody’s at the door when we’re in the basement. Our regular doorbell wasn’t that loud. This thing is amazing. You can hear it no matter where you are in the basement and it works perfectly every time

After moving to a new home that was equipped with a Ring Door Bell I found that it worked well with my IPhones. However if I wasn’t carrying my phone with me I could not always hear the Ring. The Ring Chime was fairly priced allowing me to place them throughout my home.

Love that I can hear the door ringing upstairs and that I’m able to control the volume of the ring and tone.

My wife could never hear the door bell. So when I purchased the Ring Video unit, I added this Chime and placed it in her studio. Now she hears when someone comes to the door and I don't have to yell from my office upstairs for her to answer the door. If you don't want to yell at your wife, get this chime as well.

I bought the Ring doorbell. I wanted to upgrade my inside bell, when a Best Buy worker recommended the Ring Chime. It was so simple. Just plug it in connect to your wifi network. It worked so well, I bought 2 more. Now I have one on the main floor, basement, and the second floor. Totally recommend this product.

This chime was the perfect accessory for my set up. You don't always need answer your Ring alert on your mobile device. You can plug in this chime to any outlet and connect to your home's network via wifi. I could not hear my home's doorbell in a section of my home and this was just the device I needed. My only complaint is that it only has one chime sound. I wish it had other to choose from but it works.

If you have ever had a door bell the main function of it is that you get an audible ring that alerts you to the presence of some one at your door. As much as i like the ting system that was missing until i bought this chime.It really completes the ring system and its customizable.

This item was so easy to setup. It was the 2nd chime I purchased to extend to the upstairs part of my house. The setup was super easy & it connected right away. The Best Buy associate that helped was super helpful & informative. It was a great price & a great buy.
