The entire Ring system is awesome. It's easy to set up and easy to expand when needed. I purchased this extra chime for the basement. I can't imagine what it would have cost to have an electrician run an additional wire and transformer for a traditional doorbell.

Having a finished lower level in the house makes this chime extender very helpful. My kids do not have phones yet so the chime extender allows them to know if someone is at the door. Pairs to ring doorbell effortlessly.

Who needs a doorbell? This comes in as a second doorbell. Goes great with the ring camera. I'm looking to add other products as well. Great addition for the price and very helpful if you don't have your phone with the ring app right next to you.

I bought this and it does work great but it is completely optional. I get notifications on my cell phone when someone rings my doorbell but this chime does work great and is loud. Very good for homes without an existing doorbell chime.

The ring chime was easy to install and does a good job for its basic purpose... that being to give you an instant notice of anyone approaching the front door whether you’re at home or not. The effective distance setting also comes in handy. You can set it close to the door or further out if you want a larger surveillance area,

The doorbell works exactly as described. I have areas in my home where the existing hard-wired doorbell is not audible. With this plug-in wireless unit I am now able to hear all notifications when someone presses my doorbell. The ability to change the volume is a nice touch!

Does the job well. Works with the ring.com door bell, Great added security device also recommended by Harris County Sheriff's department.

This chime is a plug in chime and it works great with the Ring Video Door Bell.

I recommend the Chime to anyone with a Ring doorbell. Normally you will only get alerts on your phone, but with the Chime your Ring works like an old fashioned doorbell, so everyone in the house can know someone is at the door, not just whoever has the app on their phone.

I've never had a doorbell until I installed my Ring wireless doorbell. Installed ithe Ring Chime in about 2 minutes. It has different sounds to choose from as well. Just plugged it into the wall outlet and set the app Ringtone and your all done. Works perfectly!

I use this in my bedroom. It is excellent. I have it set on dogs barking instead of a chime. I love that you can change the sound that you want to hear. I use to miss people at my door. Now I hear it in hard to hear places.

I have two of these spread out in my house and they work reliably. My wife didn't like chimes playing for a motion alert so we changed it to dogs barking. The funny thing is the guy who checks our termite stations now thinks we have dogs. The speaker and sound quality is ok but could definitely be improved.

Although I have issues with the Ring doorbell because It is sometimes slow and the video freezes, the Ring Chime works very well. Press the doorbell and you will be alerted by the chime that someone is at the door- no need to have your phone with you. Setup is very easy.

A must have for the home. Do not always have my phone with, thus alerts to motion at door.

One of the prior tenants removed the original chime from the apt so for quite some time there was no way to hear when someone rang the bell but now not only can I hear it while in the apt, I can hear it anywhere. Super convenient.

Well I actually needed it to go with my ring. It is very good and don’t have problems with it. I plan to buy two more because my home is very roomy and I need a little more surrounding territory, if you will.

We were waiting for this to come out for months. I love it. The set up wasn't as easy as I thought but once it's set, it works great.

I love my ring doorbell! Wish they had more doorbells though. It would be really nice if the person ringing the bell could hear whatever chime I select. It’s easy to link up and change the chime. Just plug and play.
