If you just want to see who is at your door, with the Ring Video doorbell, you don’t need the Chime. But if you don’t carry your phone with you you want to hear that someone is at the door, you need the chime. It is great, has several tones for your doorbell and it also has Holiday ring tones.

A handy extension to my Ring doorbell with configurable rings and volume.

I had recurring problems with my existing internal doorbell after connecting the kit that was included with the video doorbell pro. i replaced my existing internal doorbell twice, but had no luck - they quickly blew out. i finally decided to purchase the ring chime as a replacement for the internal doorbell. it works well. advantages include choice of sounds and ability to link it with different video products like the motion activated floodlights so i can get a different sound when motion is detected there. it is also portable. take it outside and plug it in and it will give you those same alerts as long as you are in range of your wifi network.

I did not have a wired doorbell at my front door prior to purchasing the Ring.com doorbell camera or chime. I was using a Honeywell wireless doorbell and chime. This chime replaced the Honeywell chime. It works perfectly with the Ring.com doorbell and is loud enough to be heard throughout my home.

Nice little addition to my ring doorbell. Its pretty cool that you can change the sound it makes and the volume. Also it was very easy to set up.

My old door chimes died and needed replaced. Since I already had the Ring Doorbell I chose just to get the Ring Chime for simplicity sakes. This was easy to install, just plugged in the electrical outlet and paired with the doorbell through the Ring app. Very easy and quick!

This is a must have in my opinion. Easy plug and use in any room. Much more discrete than other wireless doorbells on the market.

This device is louder than I expected. I only need one. Cool thing about is it has volume control and multiple ring types. I couldn’t hear my old chime sometimes. This was worth every penny. You can plug it into any outlet in the house as long as you have WiFi signal.

This is a must have for Ring door bell. Easy to set up and plug in. The chime is programmable with volume and different chime sounds.

You do NOT need to purchase a chime if A) you have your Ring Doorbell hooked into an existing doorbell and/or B) you're fine with just having your phones with the Ring app ring. I did NOT have an existing doorbell and wanted a chime in addition to the phones to alert anyone in my house (like house-sitters without the app). Setup is a breeze, just as easy as the normal doorbell setup using the Ring app. It's does what it needs to: makes a doorbell sound when someone rings the doorbell. You have the option to select multiple rings and volume levels as well as make a chime sound upon motion detection.

Very Convenience and easy to install. This item is match with all my RING cameras product at home. Very best system and the cheapest way to save money.

These units are very easy to install and set up. They work perfectly and as advertised. Have three of these units in our long house and now we have no problems hearing when anyone rings our doorbell or is in the vicinity of our front door.

I had to purchase one of these as my home has a wireless doorbell that I cannot wire the Ring into. For a small little outlet plug-and-go device, it connects to your Ring via WiFi (setup is very quick and easy) and is surprisingly very loud. I can hear it from anywhere in my house, and even outside in my backyard. Great compliment to the Ring doorbell, and if you do have a doorbell system in place, it can be used in a room that you may not be able to hear your regular doorbell from (or outside!) so that you do not miss visitors if your phone is not on you to alert you.

If you have a ring product, its really nice not having to depend on the volume from your device (phone/tablet/ipad). This item helps you avoid constantly looking at the app! The volume and ring tone can be adjusted from your Ring app. This plugs into to a standard outlet so this has dual benefits 1) you can move the Ring Chime wherever needed 2) you do not need to remember to charge it! If you are debating in getting this, it is WORTH it!

Love this product and if you’re running and ring setup doorbell/floodlight camera. This is a must buy! I have the alert set up to my floodlight camera facing my long drive way and it’ll alert me if anyone comes down the driveway.

I now have 3 of these chime. My third one is in my back yard in my utility shed. Now I know when someone is approaching my door and when they ring the bell. Now I do not need to have my phone with me when I am working in my shed.

I bought two of these devices to work with my ring doorbell. The configuration was easy and it has functioned flawlessly since set up. My set up required these since I bypassed my home chime via the use of a plug-in transformer.

So my house is not the newest and has a hardware connection for the ring. The only problem I kept facing was that when visitors rang the bell only my phone would notify me but not my house chime. Needed a quick solution and so I got this ring speaker, plugged it in the kitchen and within minutes of setting up It was all set. The nice part is that on the ring app on your phone you can make changes such as the volume and style of chime you will like. There is even a barking dog chime, we laughed at it but don't use it.

My house did not have a hard wired doorbell, so there was no "chime" inside the house when I installed my Ring Doorbell. This is a great necessity in order to hear the activation of the door bell. of course outside the house the button makes the chime but you cant hear it in the house. this chime plugs into any available outlet, pairs in your ring app and when the ring doorbell is pushed you will hear a chime in the house or the garage or the shed, where ever you plug it in.
