It takes a few seconds for the phone notification to happen and I don't always have my phone with me in the house so this chime lets me know if someone is at the door no matter where I am in the house. Pleasing sound when going off.

Yes, it chimes and barks!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Before purchasing this product we had to be near a device with the Ring app on it or we wouldn't hear it ringing in the house, or the slight Ring delay caused guest to have to wait longer. This product does exactly what it's supposed to do, chimes immediately inside when someone presses the Ring doorbell outside. I like the chime options, including the dog bark, saving that one for later use.
