Too Much Behind Subscription

The camera is very slow to connect and all the features that make it bearable are stuck behind a subscription. The camera makes decisions on how often it alerts you, but I couldn't get it to detect movement all the time. I adjusted many settings and eventually gave up. When I purchased this camera set, I was told it was just storage that required the subscription.

Deficient Person detection

Can't be set to capture only persons when you extend the radius beyond the sidewalk. Can't capture people on other side of the street without detection of cars driving by. Battery lifespan for change about 3 weeks. Extremely disappointed. Ring wired Pro was much better. Also instructions to install the device on concrete surface too cumbersome . Too many components provided and instructions where not clear to me. I'm not a handy person and have weak hands/grip/strength.

Having longevity in a battery-powered security device is crucial when it comes to monitoring your home, especially if you are away for long periods of time. We are here to provide you with some education to resolve the battery life issue you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. There are some troubleshooting steps that you can take to ensure that you have your device set up for optimal battery-life performance. The more events captured by your Ring devices, the more your battery is used. Using "Live View" can also drain your battery faster. If your device is capturing an excessive number of events each day, you may need to recharge your battery sooner.
To prevent excessive activity, under "Motion Settings" for your device in the Ring app, you can:
Adjust your "Motion Sensitivity" slider to a lower sensitivity. Redraw your "Customizable Motion Zones." Change "Motion Frequency" to regularly or periodically. You could also adjust the direction of your Ring device so it doesn't detect as much motion.
You can go to "Power Settings" in the Ring app to see what features may be draining your battery.
To access "Power Settings," open the Ring app: Tap the menu (≡) on the top left of the dashboard. Tap "Devices." Tap the individual device (video doorbell or security camera) you want to check. Protect your home cost effectively

I’m glad this came as a duo. The price is amazing to getting both. The ring camera is such a great way to protect your home because even if you get the plan it is so affordable it be crazy not to get it. The span of this camera is very good. I can see people coming both directions.. The entire foyer. The indoor camera is just as wonderful as the door camera. Sit it anywhere you need.
