Good way to add cardio to your day!

I purchased this not because I have an issue with holding to a workout schedule, but because I wanted a way to make my workouts more enjoyable and fun. I find this to be an effective to get cardio into my routine, and try to spend about ten to fifteen minutes a day using Ring Fit. While using it I've lost about 15 pounds, however some of the weightloss is from dieting and cutting out soda as well. The game is quite enjoyable, and working through a basic RPG while doing your cardio is certainly fun. If you have knee issues, or feet issues I can't recommend this as there's a lot of running in place and knee raises in this. It's very heavily focused on running. It does a good job of making sure you stretch before and after you start, and it also does quite well at explaining the exercises you're supposed to be doing. It seems like a gimmick at face value before you own it, but once you purchase it and start committing to using it regularly... You realize it's fairly well thought out and a good way to supplement getting yourself moving.

This is my husbands favorite way to work out. When he has it set to the higher levels he breaks a sweat. He also has fun while playing it. He likes the gamification of anything to I knew we had to get this. Its been almost two years and the ring is still intact and working fine with a decent amount of use.

Ring Fit game is really cool! It really makes you exercise and have some fun at the same time. Even though you never done any exercise, you will love it and play the very next day to complete all phases. The sensors are pretty good as well and everything is measured to keep your health track

Super fun! The kids and I are having a blast. Not sure about weight loss or anything like that but activity is activity and this has got to be better then nothing. If nothing else you are moving more then just your thumbs while playing a video game. Levels are fun and challenging.

This is a fun way to get some exercise, especially when the gyms were closed during the pandemic. I played about an hour at a time, several days a week and completed the game. You can go through the game again and continue to level up. The story mode is slightly different, but it wasn't as engaging the second time around. Overall, I really enjoyed this game.

This game is mind blowing. If you're looking for a game that works you out, this is it. It's not only fun, but a great way of starting into exercising. Guaranteed fun and fitness! All in all, I'm very impressed with Ring Fit Adventure. Great work Nintendo! It's very fun and satisfying to play. Good workout you can do at home when you are unable to get to the gym!

If you play games a lot and feel like you don't exercise enough, then this could be a great start for you. This Ring Fit Adventure puts your actions and movements into the character you control and use different exercises as attacks on enemies! It's fun and gets you sweaty at the end. It teaches you about good form, healthy habits, and not to push yourself too hard.

Ringfit has really changed my life, it's the first time I've been able to consistently stick to a work out plan. I've been using it for 3 months at the time of the review and I can see and feel muscle which I've never had before. It's also really great for yoga, you can make custom workout plans and just do back-to-back yoga or even in the main story just using smoothies to change your skill colours if needed. It was a great introduction to yoga for me because I always felt uncomfortable going to a class and videos are boring. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to lose weight, grow muscle without going to a gym or anyone who wants to get into yoga. The most important thing to remember is "Abs are made in the kitchen", no matter how many workouts you do, you have to make sure you eat right to hit your goals!

This game has been really great for getting back into exercising after not for so long! I’ve been playing this game for a couple of weeks and it has been a workout for me as a beginner. The only annoyance to me is the leg strap won’t stay put, but other than that highly recommend this for casual exercising and having fun (by yourself or with family I might add!)

    Don't Give Up!

I'm 37 years old and out of shape. I've always been about 35-50 pounds overweight. During my teen years, I was still overweight, but somewhat athletic. I no longer have that athleticism and have not exercised in a long time. I work long hours, drive a long commute to and from work, have back pain, and spend most of my free time playing video games with my kids. When I heard about RingFit Adventure, I thought it looked interesting, but dismissed it. When my wife took an interest in exercise these past few months and told me that she needed me to also exercise, I tried her routine but it was too much for me at the time. I decided to instead buy this game. I was able to play about seven days consecutively before I let laziness talk me out of it, and then I got hit with some back pain. I had fired it up here and there whenever I could in between. I began playing in Adventure Mode and quickly learned my physical limitations. I have increased the difficulty on days that I feel particularly great and decreased it on days when I was in pain. For the first few days, I sweated quite a bit and felt sore the following day. I advance a bit in the game and had to repeat a few boss battles, but I got the gist of it. While it's definitely a video game, it's also definitely a workout as long as you push yourself to your limits and don't make it too easy for yourself. The game has tips before and after workouts, pre and post-workout stretches, and tracks your exercise time as well as the number of reps you do for each exercise. There are also different modes like free play, mini games, and custom workouts. After some significant progress in Adventure Mode, I usually opt for the mini games to get a more rigorous workout. There is jogging-in-place involved, but for those who would play this in a place where you can't do that, such as in an upstairs apartment, the game will allow an alternate method of advancing your character. There are also no weights or other equipment required. Just dress comfortable and place your left Joy-Con in the leg strap and your right Joy-Con in the Ring-Con. Although I'm not playing it much when I'm in pain, I have opted to do some stretching instead, which I would not have done otherwise. RingFit Adventure can be a gateway into exercise for those who would normally feel that they are too busy or lazy to work out but enjoy video games, at least it was for me. I would recommend this game to anyone who can relate. For those who already exercise regularly and want to try something different, this may or may not be for you. There are some pretty high levels of difficulty, so at least there's that if you want a challenge.

Everyone in my house plays this ringfit game and it's lots of fun. Very different from sedentary play but that's the point. It will definitely get your heart pumping and you will work up a sweat. You also feel that "good" soreness the next day like you actually did something so it's very effective.

Want to play games and not feel super lazy sitting on the couch while playing? Jump into Ring Fit Adventure and feel the burn! Especially on your legs when you nuke them with a serious amount of squats. This game is fun for the whole family and who would have thought that Nintendo would make yet another fun "exercise" oriented type game? Get it!

This isn't really a game to have fun with but to help you exercise. I bought this originally to see if this game can help me get into a healthier habit and I must say, it certainly has kept me motivated to do so. I'm one of those types that can't follow instructor through video etc. and especially in this pandemic time, still don't want to go to the gym and etc. This game has changed my 1-pac to a light 6-pac. I play maybe 30min to 1hour a day, on average 4 times a week.

Im excited to have my kids play with this. They love it and so do I. Its fun because they can play and not realize they are getting a workout in too. Highly recommend this product. I even bought this for my nephews as well so they can connect on the game and play with my kids too. Very fun!

Nintendo has this great way of selling gimmicks. First with the Wii Motes and Wii Sports. And then the balance board and the Wii Fit. And now Ring Fit Adventure with the Ring Con. They're great for a week- and then you forget about them, which is what happened here with me. The game is fun, but it's also sort of a pain. You're limited by your physical body, so even if you mentally want to keep playing, your thighs may not be able to. And that's the biggest let down of the game. If you're playing it for exercise it's great, as you'll naturally get physically tired after a little bit and be able to put it down until your next workout. If, on the other hand, you're playing it for enjoyment you might not get much out of it. You'll want to play, but you can't because you're too sore. You can always lower the difficulty level, but, to me, that almost feels like cheating- or at least defeating the purpose of the game. The game is fun, though. It's like an RPG, but with exercise. You run through a level, like physically run, and then come across enemies that you do exercises to defeat. You get currency, level up, get new skills- it's an RPG. The gameplay loop is tried and true, so I can't knock it. But, again, we come back to the exercise aspect of it. I'm very much a person that plays a game until they're sick of it and then doesn't pick it up again for another month or year or whatever. But, you can't really do that with this game. I mean, you can, but then the exercise is sort of pointless. The game is meant to be played a little bit every day, just like with normal exercise, but that's not how *I* play games. So, I ended up selling my copy because after two weeks I had moved on to something else. And I think a lot of people are like that. Wii motes, Balance boards, treadmills, barbells, how many people buy these things and forget about them after a few weeks? I can't imagine this will be any different for people than any of those things. Overall, this is a great gimmick. As a game, it suffers because you can't really binge it. As an exercise device, it does offer a lot of encouragement, but I just don't think many people have the ability (or desire) to really commit to it. So, judge your desire before you shell out money for it- hand weights are much cheaper, and most of the exercises in this game can be done without equipment.

This is a good purchase no regrets goofy story but fun none the less. A good 10 mins every day is all I need to get the heart racing and start sweating and you really don't need much room. One worry was if it was like the Wii where you had to be facing the console a certain way or not, this one allows you to get anywhere you need in the room to play it comfortablely
