The Ring cams are the only devices I have experience with but so far I'm pleased with them. I've had the Ring Door Bell and Ring Floodlight Cam for over two years. I bought another Floodlight Cam for my back yard. I was torn between the regular Ring Outdoor Cam and this one, but based on some youtube video reviews, The night time video came out better with this cam because it has better lighting. My install required adding an electrical junction box to support the cam, it feels heavy but with the junction box secured, I felt confident it would stay in place. I made sure to angle the lights to cover my backyard wall, but not to overshoot to blind the neighbor (please consider your neighbors went installing). If you feel the Ring app is slow when connecting to the camera's live view, make sure you have a good internet speed plan and decent router. My internet used to be 20Mbps, but when I upgraded mine to over 200Mbps, it helped the connection. The video load time isn't instant but still much better than before. Please keep in mind you need an active internet connection to view the camera live (and for it to record video of course), even if it's on the same network, You can view the live and old videos through the Ring App or their website. I did notice that this new camera didn't have some features (like some privacy features like disabling the mic) that my older Floodlight cam had out of the box, but the new one eventually received the missing features. Ring tends to roll out device updates in stages even if it's for the same model. In comparison to my older Floodlight cam, I don't see any quality differences (maybe there are some). Video is the same, lighting is the same, loading is the same, etc. Keep in mind, if you have the camera set to People only mode, it'll still pick up cats and dogs. I believe it's not supposed to but I don't mind.

Excellent for home security. Easy set up. Easy installation. Easy to use.

This is my first ring product and I am very impressed! I have had security cameras installed around my house before but the ease of installation and setup is just so simple plus the cameras are excellent quality and the spotlight is actually very good

Love the ease of use to install. The video is clear and was able to setup the zones. All in all took about 30 minutes to install and another 10-15 minutes to configure and get everything setup. I also have the ring doorbell and the two really work well.

Camera is very clear, good nighttime vision and floodlight is very bright.

The reason I will not give it 5 stars is because the these have such weak WIFI strength, I bought a strong router with a coverage of 3,500 Sq and when I try and get the live feed it takes a while and the signal strength isn't the best either. Now I do not know if its the apps fault or if I was lied to about my router. It takes amazing 1080p video and works at night with amazing night vision. It also has a great field of view. The app that it comes with has great features as well and it easy to setup. I want to add that the lights are nice and strong as well and you have options on controlling them. It can be setup with amazon devices that you have and there is a deal going on now that you can get a free echo dot with it.

The installation on this item was very easy. Necessary tools are included in the box. I’ve found the video quality to be excellent, even in low light environments. Setup is quick and easy using the Ring app on your smart phone. Video coverage and sensitivity can be modified to your preferences. The two LED floodlights do a nice job illuminating my yard. I have not tried to manually activate the built in alarm, so I can’t provide any insight on this feature.

The picture is crystal clear and when the flood light goes it your eyes automatically look at the light and you can clearly see the camera on it. It does make a person think twice if they are going to do something they aren’t supposed to do.

We love our ring floodlight cam. It was so easy to install and it works amazing. Ring is so helpful and always helps you with any issues. It takes a little time to set up, but you never miss anything. The picture is amazing and the lights are really bright. We have had to use the siren once and it is really loud. I love having the extra security outside my house. It is worth the money and time it takes to get it working.

I love all Ring products but this seems to be the best so far. It provides appropriate light to walkways/front of houses (in my case) and it provides the video that you want in case there are people that shouldn't be there.

This is a great cam for added security around your home. The quality is HD crystal clear, you can zoom in, it records for the length of time you set, and the floodlights are super bright. The install and setup was super easy. After opening the box, I had it installed and running in under 30mins. The motion detection is great and love how you can choose the area size for it to detect motion. This is hands down my best, and favorite purchase of 2019 thus far.

Great image quality at night. Works very well and lights are bright when triggered. Pairs well with my RING Doorbell as well. Can control both from the same app.

Omg the quality of the camera on this ring is amazing. It is crystal clear. We can see everything that’s happening from our house and our two Neighbors house. The light is definitely bright. We bought the wired version because I heard trying to replace / recharge the batteries on those were a pain. This way we don’t have to worry about the batteries or if the power goes out. I’m so glad we purchased this item.

I already had the ring pro doorbell and decided to add the Ring Floodlight for my backside of the house. Picture is amazingly clear and love how you can set the motion zones to prevent false alarms. $30 annual subscription for keeping your recordings is worth it. Picture is very clear even at night. Ring is high quality and l like how easy it is to install without any additional items required. Also, it's so nice to access all alerts and recordings on your smart phone.

This Light is really bright. The camera works great and is 1080. The motion is Sensitive and once you set it for your area it works well. I have it tied in with my Ring Front door bell camera and Ring Back door Stick up camera. It is also working with my Alexa App and on my 2 Echo Shows and 1 Echo Dot using Alexa to tie the Cameras in for viewing and Messages.. Love the system.

I did a lot of researching before this purchase. Just what I was looking for to keep an eye out in our backyard. Easy & quick set up, voice instructions a plus! Clear picture, able to set camera to range we needed on each side of property. LOVE the floodlight it shines on our back porch/patio area!!! Definitely recommend if your looking for security & lighting!!

I have a garage you enter from the back of the house so wanted a camera flood light for the backyard. The light is very bright the alarm siren will scare the pants off you and the speaker and microphone are very clear. I like the motion disable scheduler, for the weekends when I am in the backyard doing things. Live view works great. Super easy to install if you are replacing an old flood light. Only $3 a month to save all recordings

Now I know when someone is approaching my home from at least 30 feet away. You can talk to them and if they’re up to no good set off the alarm. The lights are very bright which provides a great image/video of the event. If you want peace of mind to be alerted to activity outside then I highly recommend this product. Ultra easy to install. I have one in the front and one in the back for full house coverage.

Lights up bright and records as soon as someone is close by alerts you immediately buy a chime so if u are home and your phones not next to u the chime plugged in your wall outlet will sound and let u know there’s motion wherever you put your floodlight a very good security device because it never sleeps and always alerts you almost instantly

I almost took it back because I thought my WiFi signal was strong enough for this to work. I was wrong, went back and got the Chime Pro and it synced flawlessly and fast. Now I feel more at ease with the floodlight camera. One of the things I like most about it is that when it’s in nightvison, if something or someone comes into range of the motion or camera, it switches to full color mode and if need be, you can set off the siren on the camera. Being able to speak to the person is a plus as well and you can turn the floodlights on from your phone, tablet and computer. So far, it’s a pretty cool camera to have.
