Don’t get me wrong, Wyze is a great camera for the price. Not going to go into too much but really the only advantage to me that Wyze has over Ring is that Wyze will let you stream 24/7, Ring will not. Ring is way more customizable to the way I like to receive notifications and Ring will only pick up the events I want to see where as Wyze will pick up a gnats butt flying past. Anyway, Ring for the win!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Due to 3 separate instances of someone opening the gates in our yard, we decided to add the Ring Floodlight cam and a stick-up cam to cover our 2 gates and the entrance to the garage. Installation was not too difficult. Be careful of the direction of the unit because we installed it upsides down the first time. (not as obvious as you would think). So far is it working well. I was worried it would alert every time dogs/cats and squirrels cross their paths, but fortunately, it does happen very often. The only reason for taking off a star is because we now have 3 ring products, including a Ring doorbell, and the "Chime" in the house cannot be set to different tones to let you know which of the 3 Ring items has alerted. You are forced to run for your phone to check it on the app. This should be an easy thing to program. I also find the app to be overly complicated and not intuitive to find certain settings.

Big problem is I went to the store to buy one because it was a last minute gift and needed to know I had one.There wasn’t any on the shelf. I asked two employees if they are out of them or maybe they have some in the back? They told me no so they didn’t have to look”No we don’t have any in the back we don’t keep any stock in the back” is what they said. So I left went in the parking lot and looked it up. Bought it and was emailed back saying confirmed and they’ll text me when it’s ready. So I had to make 2 trips to the store for one purchase. That was frustrating. I’m convinced they don’t want consumers in the store anymore they want us to buy everything online and come pick it up. Unfortunately I should have just done that in the first place.

I ended up buying two more and have my entire house covered now. It is nice seeing what is coming and going and I do feel like I have a greater visibility. Very easy to install.
