I bought them to provide security at my front door and for our driveway. The first I received as a gift at Christmas and it overlooks our front porch and front door. It provides a pretty good picture when it recognizes movement. It mostly starts if our motion activated lights go on or if the wind is blowing the trees. This is the second camera, which I purchased and placed it in a bedroom window. It doesn't always turn on for movement of a person or car, our newspaper person walks in front of it every other day and it only catches him one out of ten times. But it starts up every time the trees wave in the wind. To be fair, the pictures show this camera being utilized mostly within the home but I would think motion is motion.

I wish it showed better in the dark, but overall pleased with it. However, to store any of the video after the initial period, it looks like you have to pay.

My only lament is that I wanted an indoor camera that was wireless and didn't want to pay the extra $40 for an indoor/outdoor wireless.

I like the zone feature. You can set the motion detection for up to 3 zones. I block out trees, shrubs so I don't get alerts when the wind blows.
